“This was a new experience. I was surprised that the seafood was fresh coming from a plastic bag.
It was great that they separated fried foods (in tray)from the boiled(bag). The corn on the cob was overcooked (mushy).
It's important to know that this is NOT a KID friendly restaurant. Under 4 1/2 ft is half priced. My 6 year old was 2 inches over, he had $70 french fries and some shrimp. The all-you-can-eat price is $59.95 and they automatically add 18% tip, so BEWARE.
Remember to leave the kids at home.
Is good place for adults to meet up all-you-can-eat includes sodas with refills.(beer is available at additional cost)

Today I went for a lobster roll which replaced the shrimp roll. last year this lobster was so delicious 😋 couldn't wait till the summer. unfortunately, I was highly disappointed. it is not longer on a garlic bun and now served on a plain hot dog bun :( also flavorless! last yr price was $24 and now up to $28 with no flavor and blah bun. please bring back the recipe from years before. thanks“

“I went to a family friend’s 70th birthday party they hosted in the Atlantic ballroom. The space was modern and very clean. The food was DELICIOUS!!! And the workers, Yiselle, Estrellita, and Shorty (blonde) made the event so memorable! “My friend and I - both longtime lovers of Asian cuisine - were originally headed to another spot for lunch, but it was closed for a break until 5 PM. Hungry Monster was nearby, so we decided to give it a try - and we’re so glad we did!
Though the restaurant is small, it’s incredibly cozy and comfortable, with a mix of four-person tables and bar-style seating with stools. When we arrived, there were only a couple of teenagers sipping smoothies, so we practically had the place to ourselves. That meant we got the full attention of our wonderful waiter, Biscuit, who was very attentive and made us feel well cared for from start to finish.
We both ordered their signature dish package - I chose the soup-based seafood package, and my friend ordered the beef version. Each dish came served in a small cauldron, full of different ingredients and rich flavor. The portions were generous, so I ended up taking half of mine home. As a nice touch, they packed my leftovers in a high-quality branded bag with the restaurant’s name, which I really appreciated.
We ended our meal with drinks - mine was a refreshing grapefruit and lemon green tea, and my friend had a Mango Tea Yakult, which was fruity, creamy, and perfectly balanced.
The ambiance added to the experience. The decor combines traditional Asian elements with anime-style art, even on the bathroom door! It was fun, vibrant, and gave the place a unique personality. Pleasant background music played throughout the meal - it was noticeable enough to enhance the atmosphere but soft enough not to interfere with conversation.
Some practical notes:
• They offer delivery, and you can get a 10% discount on takeout if you pay in cash.
• They’re open every day.
• The only downside is parking - limited spots in front of the restaurant and no obvious public parking nearby. You can risk parking in the nearby plaza, but there are tow warnings posted. Thankfully, we didn’t have any trouble.
All in all, we had a wonderful lunch at Hungry Monster. The food was fantastic, the service was top-notch, and the whole experience felt welcoming and personal. We’ve been to many Asian restaurants before, and this one stood out in the best way.

Spicy lovers this will definitely hit home with the boiled sauerkraut fish, braised lamb and minced meat with peppers. The brown sugar glutinous rice is to die for. “My husband surprised me with brunch at this establishment for a pre-birthday celebration. This was my very first time here. Firstly, our waiter Christan was AMAZING! He was pleasant, professional, and had a great sense of humor. Right off the back I was pleased. The environment gave me classy, but a chilled vibe. I had the shrimp with grits with creole sauce. It was very delicious. I was not a fan of the creole sauce but only because that's not my thing. I just wanted to try it. The shrimp and potatoes that came with it were amazing! With a glass of mimosa (my first mimosa). My daughter enjoyed her food and so did my husband. Over all, the experience we had was a 10. And, trust, I can be picky, so this says a lot coming from me. “Came here for lunch because I’ve been craving some hotpot. I’m so glad I did. They have a wide selection of meats, seafood and veggies. I had the pork neck soup base which was rich and delicious. My favorite cut of meat so fat is the snowflake beef. It’s fatty, buttery and tender. The kimchi is amazing as well. Customer service is great. They leave you alone while still being attentive. And just in case they aren’t around, there’s a call bell. The seating is very private. They have booths that can close for even more privacy. The booths seat 6. Definitely recommend!“

My go to is the fried flounder sandwich, $5 today, sometimes $6 cash for two huge pieces depending upon market price. They give you the tarter and lemon and tons of other condiments and spices to put on yourself, just how you like it, before they neatly wrap it up and bag it for you. I always tip them two bucks. Been coming and thankful for them for the last 25 years when they used to be a block south. There are similar looking joints but none nearly as consistently good as Dyre Fish is. I have tried so many, hoping. It is the oil they dont allow to be used too long and the fresh fish picked up daily at Hunts Point Fish Market. And the prices have barely gone up in all that time.“

“I've been to a lot of hotpot restaurants in the city. BeiJin Hotpot is a very average hotpot place. It's good, but hotpot is always good. Nothing exceptional for the price. The meat was good, maybe if we ordered different types of meat we would've had a better experience. There's nothing wrong with our dinner; we were just a bit disappointed. All in all, for the price range there are better places to go to.“
