“The best Korean cold noodle in Manhattan—and maybe all of NYC! They’re Pyongyang-style cold noodles served in a mild, delicate broth. The noodles have a high buckwheat content. I would rank them alongside some of the top-tier, authentic cold noodle houses in South Korea. A little more generous amount of garnish would be great, though.

Hwangtae hot noodles come in a clean, delicate, yet flavorful broth, finished with fresh perilla oil. I could tell high-quality ingredients (pollock and perilla oil) were used.

I truly enjoyed them. The sides and appetizers were high quality as well. I would visit this place again.“

“They just revamped their menu and I’m all here for it! My favorites were the rice noodle rolls wrapped with tofu, bean sprouts, bamboo shoots, shiitake mushrooms, carrots and preserved radish, Thai beef stew and the Panang short ribs. The beef stew was SO tender and collagen rich, literally every bite was melt in your mouth. Short ribs, also as expected, tender and flavorful. The Thai ice cream was a perfect finish - sweet toppings, cold coconut ice cream, warm pandan sticky rice - all different flavors and textures but all work together in harmony.“

“For us, the food was hit or miss. Right from the start, the Sardine toast was the star of the night, then there was aRazor clam special, which was 50/50... the clams were great, but we didn't prefer the melon taste to the dressing. After that, we had the mortadella and sourdough. Both were very good. Ate that we had the snap pea salad and the mitake mushrooms with garlic fudge. Again, both were excellent. It was the mains that just fell apart for us. The bucatini had slices of squash on top that were dry, and a bit too much basil, which overpowered the dish. Other than the basil, it was lacking in flavor. The other main was the hake and risotto. While the risotto was heavily citrussed, almost too much so, it was still tasty, but the fish, again, lacked flavor/ seasoning/ salt. Overall, the meal was a 3.5, but we bumped it to a 4, because worth the omission of the mains, it could have been a 4.5-5.“

We accomobied the wine and discussions with Sushil unrolled and Chicory salad, both tastes great and were the right size for 2.

“I don't throw this around often, but this was easily one of the best tasting menus I've ever had!!! I’m not even gassing it. Flawless, no misses, no notes! Every course was creative, beautifully executed and packed with flavor combinations I never would've imagined.

Tucked in the back is an intimate chef's counter serving a seven-course tasting menu. Watching the chefs work right in front of you while every course is personally introduced makes the entire dinner feel like a story unfolding course by course. Some of my favs: The Lox, Chicken Wing, Pork Collar + Olive Oil Cake.

I had chicken tenders, my mom had fried shrimp ,we both had with sweet potato fries that had a slight syrupy taste which were amazing, we got hush puppies and calamari to split..both great..we ate and still have plenty left for a full meal.. also have a seperate full bar, frozen drinks, tv's etc service was also great ..I definitely recommend ...oh and great prices“

“After eating so much (pizza etc )we needed to eat something different, spicy and booked this gem,as it as near to our hotel. It was also our 40th wedding anniversary. We are from U.K. This was amazing perfectly cooked tasty home made authentic Indian cuisine. We had mocktails ( lavender was refreshing ). The tandoori lamb chops x4 were full meat seasoned beautifully and delicious. All other sides perfect too. Now in U.K. we hate restaurant Indian puddings they are usually bought in and awful/failure. After finding out the chef is the owner and a recipient Michelin star we were convinced to stay,try and this was the first time we have had authentic home made puddings; try Kulfi with rose water & also Indian rice pudding. The whole meal was exceptional great value and we will recommend this restaurant to anyone else visiting New York. Easy to find off Times Square /Broadway. “I went to a family friend’s 70th birthday party they hosted in the Atlantic ballroom. The space was modern and very clean. The food was DELICIOUS!!! And the workers, Yiselle, Estrellita, and Shorty (blonde) made the event so memorable! They paid attention to every detail, whether it was filling our water cups, collecting unused plates and of course they did it all with a warm smile. They were kind, funny and very welcoming. I had a wonderful time! Thank you Yiselle, Estrellita and shorty!!!“

There are so many restaurants in NYC, but Strange Delight is one you genuinely do NOT want to miss. From the food and drinks to the service and hospitality, everything about our experience was phenomenal.

We started with the Old Fashioned and Vieux Carré, and both drinks were outstanding. For an appetizer, we ordered the smoked fish dip — and WOW. Absolutely incredible. It was so good that literally the two tables next to us ordered the exact same thing after seeing ours, and we were all raving about it together. That says everything!

Then came the crab dirty rice and the blackened swordfish belly. Jesus. 🤤 These dishes were incredible. So damn good, packed with flavor, and completely worth ordering. I honestly can’t recommend them enough.

The service absolutely deserves five stars as well. The staff was attentive without being overbearing and was there for us every step of the way. They genuinely helped make the entire evening feel special.

But I have to give an extra and very special shoutout to Geri, the General Manager. The biggest reason I wanted to give this restaurant credit beyond the food and drinks was the help I received before we even arrived. I was trying to reserve a specific time because I wanted to make this a special birthday date for my partner, and Geri went above and beyond to help make it happen. She was incredibly professional, responsive, and genuinely seemed to care about making sure we had the experience I was hoping for.

I cannot thank Geri and the entire staff enough for all of their help and for making the evening such a treat.
Great food. Phenomenal drinks. Outstanding service. And truly exceptional hospitality.
