“Mezzaluna restaurant is a great place to visit. I live in South Carolina and when my wife and I travel to NY we always visit Mezzaluna several times a week. The food and service is always excellent as is our usual waiter, Nick. He is great at his job, very friendly, observant, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The owner who we recently spoke with on the phone is very friendly and makes you feel welcome and special. If you are looking for a great place to dine in I highly recommend Mezzaluna Restaurant“

“loved the Pistachio cake from Luigi’s in Carmel so much that I ordered one for my mother’s 96th birthday. I was in Florida and couldn’t partake but my sister picked it up in Carmel and my mom, sister and family were able to enjoy it. There were 7 people at dinner and due to the size and height of the cake, you can see they barely made a dent (however it was completely gone within 2 days). Everyone was absolutely crazy about it and everyone sent me pictures and called to thank me. It’s a shame to even call it a cake because you naturally think of something you buy in a bakery. This is a whole different world. This cake is exquisite. The flavor is outstanding, it is extremely moist, it has a ton of filling and frosting but not that sickeningly sweet kind – this is all top notch ingredients and completely unique. I felt awful because I know I didn’t give Luigi’s much notice and I know his wife worked 14 hours the previous day baking. But I didn’t feel so guilty that it stopped me from ordering it and they were so gracious about helping me. As you can see in the pictures, the attention to detail, the edible flowers, the beauty of the cake made it a birthday present in and of itself. I just cannot thank Luigi and his awesome wife enough for helping to make my mom’s 96th birthday special.“

“Just left a crazy Thursday night at IL Forno. What a fun and enjoyable evening we had. We walked in with no reservations and the manager snuck us right in and we even got to the listen to an amazing singer. We have been here a few times, this was by far the most fun we had. We ordered their Sunday sauce with Meatball,sausage,spare rib, bracelets on rigatoni W/a dollop of Ricotta cheese. Couldn’t finish all of it took the rest home. “What a treasure! Sightseeing over the weekend and stumbled upon this gem. Luckily we arrived around 5:30. We were the only ones there - for about 5 minutes. Within 30 minutes the place was packed! The menu had a lot to offer and it all looked delicious. We had the calamari to start and it was fresh and tender. For our main, I had the veal fungi and I was so happy to see lots of fresh mushrooms! My spouse had the spicy hot scallops and he said they were amazing. Our waiter was very attentive even though the place was completely full. It was fun to see so many of the locals meeting up with their friends. The hostess recognized we weren’t locals and gave us some great ideas for places to visit while in the area. Either show up early or get a reservation. You won’t be sorry.“

The cheese was perfect without the too often unwelcome excessive grease.
Skip new haven brand lines and hype. This mom and pop out shines!

“Lovely restaurant and staff are excellent. Food is also quite good; the lower rating was due to the zucchini parmigiana. I do not recommend this dish because it was merely zucchini, too much mozzarella, and tomato sauce. No ricotta cheese or anything else. Every bite was a struggle because the mozzarella is stringy once cooked. Zucchini was not soft enough to make the meal less difficult to enjoy. So, if you go, do not have this, if it is on the list of specials.“

“First time there. The food was good, the portions were large and the staff were very friendly and polite but with that being said, the service wasn't all that great. Drove up from the Bronx and even though it was enjoyable, I won't be going back. Why? Because I hate to be "nickel & dimed" ...I never question prices. I order what I want but when the check is upwards of $70 but I see I was charged for both cups of coffee, it's a turn-off! A little advice: let your customers be aware that there are no free refills on a cup of coffee instead of surprising them with a $10 charge for coffee. Good luck!“

“So we went for dine-in service on Thursday and was helped by a delightful waitress. I never caught her name though. She was great with menu recommendations and made our guest feel very much at home with her attention and jokes. It was such a great experience - we had pizza for take-out on Friday. “10/5 stars if I could! Cause even though I’m in the city every week, I save my pizza cravings for this spot! This particular Amore location makes the greatest Nonna and Margherita pizza ever. My parents and husband cannot get enough either. Amore is a weekly thing. Get the personal or large pan of either pie, made fresh, and their Caesar salad or spinach and garlic, and a seat outside on a nice night. Their pizza drips with this golden olive oil, a little salt, fresh tomatoes, and divine cheese. I cannot get enough and come here weekly! The best! And we adore the people who work here, too.

“Ordered sandwiches and antipasto tray for my daughter’s sweet 16 party and everyone said how fresh the meat was. The sandwiches were made perfect they did not fall apart and were cut perfect size.
