“Always a staple in our visits to NYC. Never disappointed. Can be packed sometimes, but so worth it. Really good music and atmosphere.“

“This is a review specifically about the Ikura don. I love ikura so was super happy to see that they have ikura don on the menu! I also got the chirashi don, which was great. But as for the ikura... why is it so sweet? The ikura is marinated in a very SWEET sauce.... that I could hardly taste the special taste of the ikura itself. I just wanted to let the management know that that marinade sauce for the ikura is WAY too sweet!! Please highlight the taste of the ikura itself. 🙏🙏🙏“

“My experience here was nothing less than perfect! We were greeted so warmly by multiple staff members who were also attentive throughout our meal. The edamame and seaweed salad were yummy starters! You can’t go wrong with the ramen or curry. Both simply made and full of flavor.“

“Visited here on several occasion. Minimalist decor, dimly lit providing a cozy and intimate ambiance , cute for a date night without feeling over the top. We've had Dawa as our waitress couple times and she is very attentive and personable. Gave us great tips on what to order
The spicy yuzu margarita is my go to drink .Well balanced, strong, not too spicy which i liked. For food, I have really enjoyed their eel roll and salmon teriyaki. Recently tried their Omakase and it was very tasty . The sushi was so fresh, the salmon sashimi was melts in your mouth. The dragon roll was also a great addition. The portion was plentiful, felt very full by the last bite. Overall, really impressed by the quality of their sushi. I look forward to sampling the ramen on the menu since so many people have raved about it.“

“All the other Ichiran locations had ridiculously long lines 🍜, so we drove out to this one in Brooklyn. This spot only offers one type of ramen — perfect for the indecisive 😅 — though the menu overall is pretty limited.
The price is about $30 per person, which is fairly normal for NYC 💸. As for the taste: not bad at all, but definitely not worth a super long wait. The broth was the best part — rich but not greasy, really flavorful 👍.
There were two kinds of pork: one served in the soup, and the other on a separate plate. The one on the plate was much tastier 🥩, while the one in the soup had a really strong, almost unpleasant smell 🤢.
Overall, it’s worth a visit if you’re nearby and want to avoid long lines, but not a must-visit spot unless you’re in the area 📍.“

“Ramen Danbo is a must-try Japanese Noodle experience if you’re in New York. The shop is small, so you might have to wait in line for a table, but it’s worth it. I love the Tomato Ramen here: their homemade noodles are excellent, the broth is rich, the toppings are top-notch, and the soft-boiled egg is perfect. I can’t wait to come back for more.“

“Extraordinary vibes here, whether you want to get your dance on for the weekend or just have a quiet meal. Two sides to the bar mean two different settings with the same great food and drink options. Friendly staff and a unique, fun menu for food and cocktails. It's my very favorite neighborhood spot!“

“Food was so authentic. It took me back to some of my favorite spots on St. Marks back when Japanese Restaurants were kind of hole in the wallish and actually owned and prepared by Japanese. Tonkatsu was super crispy and moist. Udon was clean with a true Japanese flavor not flavor packet garbage some restaurants are passing off these days. The curry udon was amazing. Chirashi was delicate, flavorful and fresh. Great staff. Loved it all. Will be back and soon.“

“This place is a gem. My partner and I went for happy hour, it was lovely! The staff is very attentive and intuitive, they were checking in on us and anticipated our needs before we even requested anything. The Tokyo banana was the star of the show, but the ramen, chicken wings, and the potatoes were epic! We will definitely be returning. Thank you.“

“I tried the cold ramen at Wanpaku and it was such a unique experience—unlike anything I’ve had before! I expected it to be more like cold dipping soba, but it actually felt closer to a poke-style ramen with cuts of salmon, tuna, cucumber, octopus, ikura, etc; on top of ramen noodles and then you pour the sauce over the dish yourself — mixed with the radish, seafood/mint topping, it was really refreshing and flavorful.
The ingredients could have been a bit fresher, but overall I enjoyed the nice interior, the food was refreshing, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth trying the cold ramen for something different!“
“The food was fresh and served in a timely manner. I highly recommend their karaage chicken. I wasn’t a fan of the ramen bowl, but I was experimenting with new flavors. I also tired boba for the first time. It was weird and fun to try. The place was clean and pleasant, and the staff were friendly and helpful.“

“Tanoshi Ramen is one of those places that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled upon something special — not just because of the food, but because of the people.
We first visited last year and were immediately struck by how kind and welcoming the team was. There’s a warmth to this spot that makes you want to keep coming back — and the food absolutely seals the deal.
The ramen is phenomenal. You can tell it’s homemade — rich, soulful, and made with love. My husband is obsessed with the Spicy TanTan Ramen (he’s had it more than once!), and I always go for the Spicy Tonkotsu. Both are deeply flavorful and comforting, with the TanTan especially reminding us of great Sichuan flavors.
But the real surprise star? The wings.
Quite possibly the best wings we’ve had in NYC — juicy, perfectly seasoned, flavorful without being over-the-top. They’re unforgettable in the simplest, best way. (I admit I have ordered just the wings via delivery because that’s what I was craving and they are THAT good!)
Tanoshi is one of those rare spots that feels both homey and special. We’re lucky to have it.“

“It’s honestly top 3 Ramen places I’ve ever been. I always get the Shoyu ramen with pork. The meat is melt in your mouth, the noodles have a great texture, and the broth is super flavorful. It’s just a classic ramen, and it’s also very affordable! You would have a hard time finding better ramen for under $20, highly recommend.“

“The chef, Malcolm was wonderful to begin with. We ordered taiwanese beef noodle soup as well as the spicy duck wings as an appetizer. We also got the Shirley Temple to drink, and all the parts of the meal were absolutely wonderful. We stumbled upon this place by accident and will definitely be coming back whenever in town. The chef along with the waiter were super welcoming and even spent time talking with us.“

“Delightful experience! The food, service and the atmosphere were fantastic. One of the best tasting Ramen I’ve had and was kind of surprised to see them dedicate the entire restaurant to Vegan Japanese cuisine. We tried Daichi no Miso and Pla-ton, both were great but the miso based was incredible. Tip: order a side of their spicy paste (karaka paste) to elevate the flavor. This place is a must visit!“

“Ordered the spicy chicken ramen from uber eats. Everything came well packed and as described. The ramen was overall pretty good. Spice level was perfect, corn was delish, and the flavor was good. I was a bit disappointed by the quality of the noodles though and the chicken was mid. That is all“

“Got chicken pai tan ramen, birria ramen, spicy pork buns and seaweed salad. All were delicious with great portions. I ordered an extra chicken ramen to have leftovers and when i pulled it out of the fridge the next day to reheat, i was so impressed by how gelatinous the broth was, which means it’s really well-made bone broth. Their soup is legit! So comforting and also healthy.“

“I really like their spicy miso ramen. Don't let this thin sliced chashu fool you as I first looked down on it .. once I tasted it, the good flavor always in my mind. All other incredients are also fresh and well thickness and balance. The cook really has some thoughts on the combination in the ramen.“

“I’ve been coming here for a few years, at the behest of my best friend, who swears by this place. “The ramen has a deep, rich flavor — comforting from the very first sip.
But the best part was the staff: super friendly, attentive without being intrusive, and always with a smile. You can tell they truly enjoy what they do and create a warm, welcoming atmosphere from the moment you walk in. 💛
Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to. #RamenLovers #SetagayaBrooklyn“

“The food was sooo delicious?, I came here with my friend after a walk in the park and the food was able to quench our hunger. I ordered the Szechuan braised beef noodles and a side of marinated fried chicken, my friend ordered the marinated beef rice bowl. Every single thing we ordered was delicious, I especially loved the subtle spice with the noodles. The sauce served with the fried chicken was also delicious! 5⭐️“

“The restaurant is located in the Dyker Heights section of Brooklyn. They prepare Japanese cuisine. I ordered the sushi bento box. It includes choice of soup or salad, three shumai, rice, and eight pieces of sushi. The sashimi bento box is the same with nine pieces of sashimi. The harumaki are Japanese spring rolls and were crisp. The vegetable gyoza are dumplings with a vegetable filling. The food was fresh, well-prepared and well-priced. Very friendly and helpful staff.“

“I came here on a date one evening and we got a table by the window. I ordered one of their chicken dumplings and the black garlic tonkatsu ramen. Overall the food had a lot of great flavor and there really was a lot of it. They are very generous with portion sizes.
They also had a few imported craft beers in bottles.
Overall it's a very nice place.“

“Average ramen. More like 3.5 stars but I’ll round up to 4 because their pork baos were quite tasty and they deliver late. I can rely on them when I come home from work late which is nice but really this is a backup. I only really order from here when everything else around me is closed.Pro tip: Their shoyu is better than their tonkotsu.“
