“I absolutely love this restaurant! The quality of the fruits and vegetables is outstanding—always fresh, vibrant, and clearly sourced with care. Every dish feels thoughtfully prepared, but the standout for me is the pork braised dish. It’s rich, tender, and packed with deep, savory flavor that melts in your mouth. You can really taste the time and skill that goes into it. This place never disappoints.
Noise level is average for a NYC area restaurant and service spot on (we were a table of 15 for a birthday, not easy to serve even with a pre fix menu!!)“

“Transparently, I only came to meet a friend for one cocktail in the afternoon and she ended up being over an hour late due to an unforeseen circumstance, yet the staff was still so incredibly kind to let me sloooooowwwwly nurse my single iced tea and wait at a a cozy little table near the back until my friend arrived.
It was a quiet day there none the less without too many other diners. Whoever manages this team, does it well. Thanks for making my alone time, not feel so alone.“

“Happy Cooking does it again! Very special restaurant that will be my goto after BAM shows. They got range, baby! From one of the best executions of a Caesar salad I have ever had to an inventive mussel toast dish that smacks and crunches. As usual, the space, the staff, even the music choices are pitch perfect. But it really comes down to the people. Happy staff at happy cooking = awesome.“

“Neighborhood gem. Great decor, homey, comfortable but well appointed. I have dined here alone and with family, both times it was a good atmosphere. GM Michael is really good and runs a good staff. The food is delicious- good for all types of diet restrictions. Fresh ingredients well prepared. Last but not least also great cocktails. Host and server were friendly and attentive. The use of space is pretty amazing and well adapted to the neighborhood They neighborhood is great I saw the prettiest dogs in Brooklyn all walking in full force The place has a friendly family-type vibe Th coworkers are all friendly with each other and warm to their clientele The food is impeccably well prepared, tasty and quite authentically Italian I doubt one could find anything more authentic with such fine ingredients and creatively presented anywhere other than Italy. “The atmosphere and service were outstanding. We only went for desert and coffee. The chocolate cake was amazing. A couple we vacationed with has eaten dinner there 2 nights before and said how amazing the food was. One of the staff members even gave us a personal tour and history of the building. Starting with a refreshing porter beer from the tap, I then savored the incredible Japanese sweet potato, which was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. Encased in their soft and freshly made bread, the sandwich was a symphony of flavors, perfectly complemented by the crispy and tasty house-made chips. “Rhodora was nice, cozy vibes for a snowy night. Food was okay. Cheese plate and burrata I would get again, the labne just tasted like mushrooms - would’ve been better served with bread, the burrata was nothing to write home about.
Staff took an hour to clear out plates.
Bar tender also gave my friend and eye roll when she asked for a cocktail outside of their 4 cocktail list, and wasn’t very helpful. Very small menu - definitely look before going“

“Some of the very best chicken that you can get in all of New York City! The Fly combines a simple menu and affordable menu with flawless execution to create an amazing overall dinner experience. The chicken is juicy, flavorful, and delicious and their white sauce, green beans, and Caesar are standouts on the menu!“

“Like most NYC restaurants, they really pack you in here. I was at a two top that was about a foot away from the next two top. We could hear our neighbors entire conversation but sometimes couldn't hear each other across the table. That said, the interior is light filled and airy feeling with its high ceilings. So a mixed bag on ambience. I got the shakshuka for brunch and it was very salty. There wasn't a ton of harissa flavor or other flavor besides the overwhelming saltiness. The eggs were a touch runny as well. My guest got sides of yogurt and sausage. She said the yogurt was very runny but taste was good. The sausage tasted homemade and had a nice and interesting spice balance. Not the best brunch spot I've tried but it wasn't bad either. If it's not busy, it'd probably be a good local option though I wouldn't travel for it.“

“My wife and I had a lovely little date night at this cute little French restaurant! The food was delicious, and the staff were so nice. We ordered the goat cheese appetizer, French onion spaghetti (which was downright amazing!), and the steak & frites. The steak was perfectly cooked medium-rare, soft and juicy. We got the creme brulee for dessert, which was very well done. The portion sizes were perfectly filling too!

The goat cheese was just ok for us, which the waitress asked us about - we didn't complain at all, just mentioned that we didn't want to pack it home since we're staying at a hotel and don't have an oven or air-fryer to properly heat it up, but because she knew that we didn't like it as much, her and the owner offered us their Spanish cheesecake as consolidation to take home for free. They really did not have to, but that is some solid A+ customer service and we appreciate them so much for being so nice.

“Came to Brooklyn for the weekend all the way from little Knoxville TN to visit my fiancés family and the last stop on the way out before heading home was for pies at speedy Romeos and boy are we glad we did they were not only the pest pizzas of the trip but the best pizza I’ve ever had hands down we got a classic kids cheese pie and the white album and both were amazing. Got there on a Monday @ 5p when they opened figuring we would get a table easily … only to find a line halfway down the block. We still DID get a table but it was close!

We brought our son who lives in Louisville and this time brought our daughter and boyfriend who live in San Diego and their rock star Pal who is on a tour with THE WHO. “(Nov 2014) Uber cool high tech mod fitout and no shortage of opinionated beer nerds (complete with obligatory cult brewery t-shirts). Even at 2pm on a Sunday arvo. Doesn’t quite have the warm of a traditional US bar but still pretty friendly. Very international list with a focus on left of centre. Pricing on the high side but reflects the quality of the beers. Served via cabernet glasses - a nice touch. I really grew to like the place and they use a small space well. Can I say it reminds me of Two Row in Melbourne? And....btw....the only other bar I have ever seen where punters are punching out tasting notes!“

The food is great! I was actually on my way to an other place & took a moment to peek at their menu & saw the raclette which immediately made me change my plans.
It was absolutely the right decision!
Not just is the food lovely though, with a nice variety of selections, but it is chic yet cozy & the service is outstanding. Ross was behind the bar and serving & he couldn’t have been kinder & more accommodating to my allergies.
So, you should absolutely give it a try if you are looking for a solidly good, low key place, with great vibes and food to match.“
