“I absolutely love this restaurant! The quality of the fruits and vegetables is outstanding—always fresh, vibrant, and clearly sourced with care. Every dish feels thoughtfully prepared, but the standout for me is the pork braised dish. It’s rich, tender, and packed with deep, savory flavor that melts in your mouth. You can really taste the time and skill that goes into it. This place never disappoints.
Noise level is average for a NYC area restaurant and service spot on (we were a table of 15 for a birthday, not easy to serve even with a pre fix menu!!)“

“Went for brunch. Good food but not great, pricey, with slightly over salted ham in the Croque Madame for my liking. We had a reservation for 4 but that changed to 6. They really couldn't accommodate that change, but it was last minute so I don't hold that against them. Very busy place with lots of energy.“

“I typically don’t leave google reviews but I just had to stop by to give this space their flowers. I reserved an outdoor table to celebrate by birthday for 20 guests in the late afternoon. The service for one was amazing. It was like having our own personal sommelier. They brought over wines based on our stated preferences, food, and clean glasses to replace the old throughout the afternoon into the evening. When we arrived, Sauced was backed with guests, seated out front, inside, and outback. The vibe was just so welcoming and inviting and high spirited. You can tell they’ve built an amazing community of patrons over the years. I just can’t say enough about how much I enjoyed celebrating my birthday here so thank you Sauced. Consider hosting a special event or simply popping in with a friend or two to enjoy their amazing selection of wines.“

The highlight of the meal was the Porchetta Sandwich with ZA'ATAR CHIPS. Encased in their soft and freshly made bread, the sandwich was a symphony of flavors, perfectly complemented by the crispy and tasty house-made chips. Each bite was a testament to their commitment to using high-quality ingredients and crafting memorable dishes. The cozy ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall experience, making it a fantastic place to unwind and enjoy exceptional food. “The BEST Sicilian square sourdough pizza on the planet 🌎 their sauce is organic and phenomenal, the cheese is wonderful, olives and if you feel like it Add some sausage, and the yummiest pecorino Romano shreds just topped it off. The crispiest crust and So incredibly digestible, because it’s sourdough. Sourdough is fermented and your gut loves fermented food… Love their little gem lettuce salad with their homemade dressing. Very simple here I think we ordered 3 square pies and of course brought some home The Sicilian squares heats up beautifully Just love OPS on Himrod Bushwick Brooklyn!!!! We brought our son who lives in Louisville and this time brought our daughter and boyfriend who live in San Diego and their rock star Pal who is on a tour with THE WHO. “The atmosphere and service were outstanding. We only went for desert and coffee. The chocolate cake was amazing. A couple we vacationed with has eaten dinner there 2 nights before and said how amazing the food was. One of the staff members even gave us a personal tour and history of the building. “I’ll start by saying the food was absolutely outstanding. Everything from the chicken, all the sides, and even the salad was incredibly delicious.

However I don’t know that I would recommend this place for large groups. The biggest problem was that it was incredibly loud and hard to hear in there. Like actual shouting to hear the person next to you, it’s really difficult to talk to anybody not immediately next to you (and even then it’s not easy to hear).

Our service also wasn’t great, they set down our food and didn’t come back to the table for like 30 minutes and they only refilled our water when asked. All this is frustrating when you’re getting hit with the mandatory 20% gratuity for groups (which is fine but at the very least keep the waters filled and ask us if we want more drink orders).“

“Came to Brooklyn for the weekend all the way from little Knoxville TN to visit my fiancés family and the last stop on the way out before heading home was for pies at speedy Romeos and boy are we glad we did they were not only the pest pizzas of the trip but the best pizza I’ve ever had hands down we got a classic kids cheese pie and the white album and both were amazing. Will definitely be back for more next time we make the trip back up.“

I won't lie, in these days of hard budgets, this will be a splurge for many (we went with the help of a gift card!). With tip, it came to about $250...that's a lot for two people. Was it worth it? Yes!! But is that kind of expenditure hard for many right now? Also yes. Still, I am so glad we went, and I am thankful to the staff for the great food and service.
