The price lends itself to a special occasion but it’s worth stopping by even to just enjoy some great cocktails, the strong Spanish-focused wine program, or some exciting after dinner drinks. One of my favorite spots in NYC.“

“Ok, I never write reviews, but I've had two phenomenal experiences at The Fly and needed to share!! Not only is the atmosphere perfect (lighting, candles, sexy, ENERGY, music!!) and food perfectly executed (cesar with the crispiest romaine! The green beans! The green sauce! The potatoes! The chicken!!!) but what stands out to me most is the hospitality. It's exceptional. Warm, inviting, attentive, playful. You feel taken cared of, special, safe, and like you belong – I truly cannot say that about many places in NYC where folks are jaded and, in my opinion, have lost the art of true hospitality.

This is a neighborhood spot I will return to again and again and again. HUGE shoutout to Hector and Peter for giving us two amazing experiences both times. We had a blast and that's really what it's all about. We love you guys!! Thank you for all that you do – it's really important work. xx“

“We came here for dinner and we loved the food! I ordered the DAC BIET 55/PP because I wanted the lemongrass beef skewers with a bunch of small dishes; loved the flavors and presentation. My friend had the chicken pho and the broth was so good.

The location is super easy to get to, just a 2 min walk from the Morgan stop and a minute walk to Moondog HiFi.

The only thing I want to address is the noise level is unbearable. This is an ongoing issue for NYC restaurants and no one seems to care.

Restaurant owners, please take that into consideration when you design your next restaurant.“

The wait staff were gracious and attentive. Our food arrived quickly, it was hot and delicious. Dessert was divine. I wish I lived closer so I could eat here again and again. 👍😊“

“Came to Brooklyn for the weekend all the way from little Knoxville TN to visit my fiancés family and the last stop on the way out before heading home was for pies at speedy Romeos and boy are we glad we did they were not only the pest pizzas of the trip but the best pizza I’ve ever had hands down we got a classic kids cheese pie and the white album and both were amazing. “Walked by this place a hundred times before finally coming in, but glad we did! Came for brunch this morning and the menu is a bit diverse. We had Mexican style molletes (beans and pico de gallo on toast with a fried egg on top) which was declious. And the mushroom and cheese omelette was honestly one of the best omelettes I’ve had. So soft and buttery. Also had a nice cocktail list but we just had coffee today. For a nice sit down brunch was decently priced at less than $30 a person. We will be coming back to try out the drinks next time!“

“(Nov 2014) Uber cool high tech mod fitout and no shortage of opinionated beer nerds (complete with obligatory cult brewery t-shirts). Even at 2pm on a Sunday arvo. Doesn’t quite have the warm of a traditional US bar but still pretty friendly. Very international list with a focus on left of centre. Pricing on the high side but reflects the quality of the beers. Served via cabernet glasses - a nice touch. I really grew to like the place and they use a small space well. Can I say it reminds me of Two Row in Melbourne? And....btw....the only other bar I have ever seen where punters are punching out tasting notes!“

“The BEST Sicilian square sourdough pizza on the planet 🌎 their sauce is organic and phenomenal, the cheese is wonderful, olives and if you feel like it Add some sausage, and the yummiest pecorino Romano shreds just topped it off. The crispiest crust and So incredibly digestible, because it’s sourdough. Sourdough is fermented and your gut loves fermented food… Love their little gem lettuce salad with their homemade dressing. Very simple here I think we ordered 3 square pies and of course brought some home The Sicilian squares heats up beautifully Just love OPS on Himrod Bushwick Brooklyn!!!! We brought our son who lives in Louisville and this time brought our daughter and boyfriend who live in San Diego and their rock star Pal who is on a tour with THE WHO. “We went to Cecily for an event in June, and got to try some of their dishes.

The inside is a bit smaller than I thought, or it is more of an obscure dining room shape. They have a fully stocked bar, and a super friendly and talented bartender.

We had a few cocktails; Pink Panther, Cecily Manhattan, and Passenger Pigeon. The Pink Panther was not pink as I had hoped, but it was tasty. Fruity and elegantly sweet, really nice cocktail. Cecily Manhattan was strong, reminded me of Old Fashion. A nice, relaxing drink in the evening. Passenger Pigeon was aromatic and flavorful, with just the right amount of sweetness.

Food we tried:
Grilled Scallops had a great aroma of the yuzu. They were plump and soft, perfect texture, delicious!
Little Gem Caesar was super fresh. The piparra pepper had a nice little kick, Anchovies gave bold flavor and added texture.
Mussel Toast was divine! Garlic aioli is the bomb, while chili butter gives subtle kick that is so delightful.
Half Roasted Chicken was super moist, and packed with flavor. So tender, easy to cut with butter knife. It had crispy exterior, each bite was amazing.

For dessert, we had Mom’s Strawberry Cake. It was magically delicious. I believe they added strawberry compote into the whipped cream, making it extra flavorful and tasty. It had loads of fresh strawberry compote under the cream.

The staffs were nice, they took a really good care of us during the event. The drinks and food were great, we enjoyed them all. This is such a neighborhood gem, we would love to go back again in a near future to try more of their dishes!“
