“If you love fresh seafood, this is a must go place, but on a pricey side. Good news is that they eliminated the kitchen fee charges. They serve authentic Cantonese seafood which reminds me of eating in Hong Kong. Their service staffs are very attentive.

Loved their live king crab, they serve it in 3 ways, we like them as follow: first, steam with garlic sauce and noodle underneath the crab. Second, fry and third is fried rice. Steam oysters are excellent. Shrimp was exceptional. Steam fish was very good. Fried spare rib was ok. But overall, we loved their food a lot.“

“Went to Moon Kee This past Friday. (8/21/26) I had the Garlic Shrimp and Scallops, Shrimp Rice Roll and some dumplings. The food was prepared well; and the portion sizes were generous. Flavor was decent.

My partner and I arrived at 9:40PM. When they say they close at 10:00PM, they really mean they close at 10. The service definitely suffered based on that and the food probably does too, considering that we were told it was too late to order certain items. If you want to eat there, I suggest getting there earlier, and you'll likely have a better experience than I did. I definitely plan to try them again at an earlier hour because I feel like it may be better than what I had.“

“This is our dad’s favorite noodle spot and he was always telling us how good the noodles were. When we finally tried it, we totally understood why he couldn’t stop talking about it! Everything was so delicious. We loved the noodles, the wontons and the crispy wontons, every dish was full of flavor. Definitely a place we’ll keep coming back to with our family!“

“Nice little place with a unique coconut soup base twist on hotpot. Fun place with friends, and they stay open overnight, so it's a good spot to come after leaving some bars that close early. Service is attentive, food is great, but dineresque banquette seating a bit uncomfortable.“

“I had an absolutely wonderful meal at this spot on 2nd Ave. Every single dish was presented beautifully and tasted even better.

The roasted duck was a highlight and paired perfectly with the fresh cucumber and scallions served on the wooden board. I also really enjoyed the delicate, dual-toned dumplings served in the bamboo steamer. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and incredibly well-prepared. I will definitely be back.“

“Give me your tired, your poor, your weary—if Lady Liberty welcomes them in, this counter heals them.
It feels silly to admit I got misty-eyed when the trifecta combo (soy sauce chicken, roast duck, and crispy pork) hit the table. But it hit right where I needed it.

When it’s past 10 p.m., everywhere else is shuttered, and you are hollowed out from a long day of work, family, and relentless responsibilities, this place takes you in. It might not be the warmest hug, but it offers real, and raw comfort.

There is genuine hope in knowing you can still get three incredible roast meats for under $15, piled over rice with cabbage to make sure you leave completely full.

Maybe, just maybe, life isn’t quite as heavy as it seemed an hour ago. Maybe good things can still come to life.

“I love this place! I've been going here for maybe 4 years. The food is always AMAZING. 10/10 DELICIOUS! I had The spring rolls which were not super oily or greasy. I had the soy nuggets very crispy and flavorful on the inside. Very tender and moist on the inside. Great texture inside and out. I had a peach tea. I also had the soy basil with the brown rice. The soy basil was very mild in flavor, not overwhelming which was excellent and the rice is always cooked to perfection, not super soggy or hard. I've been thinking of coming back here or ordering from here all year, even late last year at because I haven't been around the area. And I haven't stopped thinking about it for several months. I'm finally happy that was able to have some food from here and I feel satisfied. Thank you so much! I will always come back here. Your food is excellent. “I had a wonderful dining experience at Caotang. The food was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. My favorite dish was the fresh pepper fish. The fish was incredibly tender and soaked up the savory, aromatic sauce perfectly. The spicy frog was also delicious, with juicy meat and a bold peppery kick. I also enjoyed the stir-fried beef, which was tender and well seasoned. Every dish had its own character, and the spice level was exciting without overwhelming the flavors. The portions were generous, and everything paired perfectly with rice. Definitely a great spot for authentic Sichuan food in NYC!“

“I ordered delivery, and I have to say, I was impressed. It's funny, I’ve probably walked past this restaurant on Main Street countless times without ever really noticing it. With so many places hanging roast ducks and chickens in the window, it's hard to know which one is actually worth trying, so I usually stick to the places I already know. I'm really glad I decided to order from here because it introduced me to a great new spot.
I ordered the half roast duck, the Sichuan spicy stir-fried chicken, and the preserved egg and pork congee a long with a youtiao. As expected with delivery, both the duck and chicken needed a few minutes in the oven to crisp back up, but once they did, they were absolutely delicious. I especially loved the sauce that came with the duck, it really brought the whole dish together.
The biggest surprise of the meal was the Sichuan spicy chicken. I normally don't enjoy the numbing Sichuan peppercorn flavor, but whatever they did here was just incredibly tasty. It had plenty of flavor without the numbing sensation overpowering everything else. I can definitely see myself ordering it again.
The preserved egg and pork congee was decent. I'd seen reviews complaining that the consistency was off, but I actually thought the texture was exactly what congee should be. My only complaint was that it could have used a bit more seasoning and more preserved egg. The youtiao was also very good after a quick trip through the oven.
Overall, this was a very enjoyable meal and a restaurant I'll definitely be visiting in person. I'm already looking forward to trying the soy sauce chicken and the other roast meats, and I'll absolutely be ordering that Sichuan spicy chicken again.“

Main stars are the clay pot rice dishes, of course but the other stars were the xiaolong baos and clay pot chicken. Will always come back here again and again.“

“We got here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon just before it got busy. It’s a small and tight space with friendly service. The best things we tried were the shrimp rice rolls and watercress dumplings in pork bone soup - absolutely well made and really delicious. The quality and execution of the food today was much better than our previous visits. Highly recommend for a casual lunch spot.“

The food was so good — from the perfectly steamed fish with scallions, to the crispy roast meats, salt & pepper crab, braised sea cucumber, and even the fried pigeon 😋. Every dish are so good, flavorful, fresh, and cooked just right. We ended the night with bowls of warm red bean soup, the perfect sweet finish. “Came here for Father's Day dinner and was not disappointed. The food came out quickly. The Roasted Beef Tenderloin in Red Wine Sauce was amazing. The sauce was savory, and the beef was incredibly tender—a 10/10 dish! The waiters were friendly and attentive, frequently changing our plates and making sure we were satisfied with each dish. This is definitely one of the top three places for Cantonese cuisine. I will definitely come back for dinner and will also give lunch a try to test their dim sum options!“

“Great spot for authentic Sichuan cuisine inside American Dream! We tried the Pickled Pepper Frog Legs, Pickled Mustard Fish Soup, Garlic Grilled Fish, and Braised Tofu—everything was flavorful and freshly made. The frog legs were tender, the grilled fish was crispy outside and juicy inside, and even our kids loved the tofu. If you’re looking for spicy Chinese food while visiting the mall, this is definitely worth a stop. Friendly service and we’ll be back!“

Hope this place can stay open, the prices are so affordable…which is just what we need in this impending recession…onto the food…we ordered a cauliflower dish, the Taiwanese sausage clay pot rice and the premium pepper beef clay pot rice. “Rong Wang is one of my new go-to spots for Cantonese comfort food in Flushing, Queens. Their roast meats are on point and they offer many popular Cantonese dishes that make me feel right at home, like congee, noodle soups, clams in black bean sauce, claypot rice, casseroles etc! Not to mention the staff and owner are super friendly, hence why there are so many loyal locals!“

“The most authentic taishan/canton style you can get. Been coming here all my life, from toddler to middle age adulthood. The food is delicious, packed full of flavor, and honestly the best canton lobster you will ever find. Brother Wah is a master of wok hay.

They recently changed management within the last year or so, though still a tight-knit circle of the same employees, and the service has greatly improved, along with table-side amenities. Their business was hit hard by COVID, along with the entire street, and hasn't seemed to recover the same amount of patrons, which is a huge shame.

“Had a great time here with some friends for lunch. We got several dim sum items and then lunch specials which we shared. The lunch specials come with a soup that is so delicious - the broth was just unbelievable. Service was fine. The value is great! We spent less than $25 per person for our little lunch feast. I would definitely go here again.“

“Their golden fried rice, lobster with sticky rice or yi-mian, Peking pork chops, steamed fish, clams with basil, and everything else is so good. I also like that it's not in central Flushing, so it's not as competitive for parking. I've never had anything here that was a disappointment. So I definitely recommend coming here if you want delicious food without having to compete for parking in central Flushing. It's also usually pretty busy, so you know that their stuff is fresh because it's such a high turnover here.“

“We are from Australia here on vacation, and we stopped in to grab some dinner while walking back to our hotel. Their food is absolutely delicious. Generous servings, well priced and great service. You cannot get good Chinese food like this in Australia these days, despite the large Chinese population. This place is a gem and highly recommended. The General Tso's chicken was sooooo good. My wife's pork noodles were also really tasty.

When I sat down I was happy too see that the waitress came quickly and efficiently brought the food out quickly aswell. I ordered the chicken fried rice and it was delicious. “This is my newest favorite in the wonton restaurant in New York. It is a tiny place, but the free tea is hot. I had the "trio" wonton with noodles, with additional vegetables, which are tender baby yuchoy. The trio wonton were all very good, but I can't say I could distinguish among the three types. All had crunchy shrimp, one said had watercress, although I couldn't figure which. The added vegetables, for an extra $2, was well worth it. The vegetable portion was large enough to merit a second bowl. It was a bargain at $12.50. I liked it so much that I ordered the same a few days later. The 3rd time I visited, I ordered wonton with stewed beef and with added vegetable. Again, it was very good, but the vegetable portion was significantly reduced, but the beef portion was large (very large for someone who rarely eats meat). I ordered this dish twice also.“

“Food were all good. From dimsum to the main entree, we had the whole fried chicken, sweet and sour pork, chicken fried rice, chicken feet, shrimp dumplings and short rib with pepper sauce. The service was great too, quick and theyre very responsive. The atmosphere, my little girl enjoyed watching the fish they had.“

“We stopped by Ocean Bay Restaurant for Sunday dim sum. The menu has all the typical dim sum favorites, and everything we ordered was satisfying.

My favorite was the shrimp cheung fun—it's one of my go-to dim sum dishes, and this one did not disappoint. We also ordered from the menu the pan-fried noodles with beef, which came in a surprisingly large portion and was very tasty.

Service was quick, and the food arrived without much wait. One thing to note is that the dining room feels a bit tight, especially with the traditional dim sum carts moving around the aisles.

Parking was easy since there's free parking nearby, which is definitely a plus.

Overall, while Ocean Bay wouldn't be my first choice for Sunday dim sum, it's a solid option if you're in the area or craving dim sum without a long wait.“

What really stands out is the value. The prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality and portion size. For example, a bowl of beef noodle soup is only around $9. At many other places, you’d easily pay $11–12 or more for the same dish.

I know some people may mention that the service can occasionally be a little slow or that there may be some language barriers, but honestly, I’ve never found that to be a problem. Everyone has always been kind, and a little patience goes a long way.

“Family lunch - no wait time as we went before 11am . Compare to other dim sum restaurants in the area, the one is less crowded. dim sum are fresh made and spring rolls still warm and crispy while on the table. My family likes it as not too salty and not too much MSG in the food as I’m not feeling thirsty after the meal. Will try more dishes next time“
