“Went to Four Star Cafe last night and it was amazing. Great atmosphere and food!!“

“We ordered the boneless wings, sliders and chicken wraps. All were very tasty. The drinks came out fast and cold. The hostess tried to sit us at a dirty table, bench seat had oil and crumbs and table had crumbs and sauce all over. Made her change tables, she did not seem happy. Our waitress was awesome she made up for lazy hostess. Overall we will be back.“

“We recently hosted a birthday luncheon for my mom on the back patio. The space was private and beautiful, the food was very good, the servers were attentive and we didn’t feel rushed. Thank you for a great experience!“

“We came for a saturday brunch and it was nothing short of excellent. The manager greeted us and we had some drinks at the bar. The bartender gave us some great recommendations for the menu and the owner even came over to us and introduced himself which was very nice. We got the meatballs, rockshrimp and calamari, lobster guacamole, and burrata which were all incredible and great shareables for us. 5/5 and will definitely be back.“

Twice, recently, I dined at I'l Fresco with friends and family members; The words they used to describe Il Fresco were: -Fabulous - dinner was scrumptious -Phenomenal restaurant and staff -Tastiest sauce in the world - delicious hot bread out of the oven. -An Exceptional dining experience. -Amazing homemade tiramisu - wonderful desserts -Best meal ever - better than the meals I had while visiting Sorrento, Italy. From my cousin who went back to Belfast, Northern Ireland: I am keen to get back to visit again and hopefully we can visit the fantastic restaurant again, can't remember the name otherwise it would be getting a 5 star from me. If you find yourself in Tarrytown for shopping or seeing a show at The Music Hall, make a stop at The Tapp a part of the experience. Better still, make the trip just to visit The Tapp alone. It really is a great place to hang out with friends, catch a singer, play Tuesday Night Trivia, or have a terrific meal.“

“My husband and I frequent the hotel for events, but it was our first time dining. We had a 5pm reservation, so it was quiet and empty. The food was a bit pricey, but generous portions and delicious. I had the chicken pot pie and my husband had the most tender short ribs of his life. We will likely be back in the future, and look forward to an elegant way to enhance our future events!“

“The steaks were above average and enjoyable, though they did not quite reach the level of being truly exceptional. The biggest disappointment was the coleslaw, which was honestly the worst I’ve ever had. It was essentially just chopped cabbage with no noticeable dressing, seasoning, or flavor to bring it together. It felt unfinished and added very little to the meal. Fortunately, the steaks were solid enough to make the dining experience worthwhile, but I would definitely skip the coleslaw if I returned.“

Stopped by this bar for their open mic night, and WOW — the energy was unreal from start to finish. You could feel the mix of raw talent and pure passion in every performance, but the absolute highlight of the night was the band featuring Matthew Rapelye.

They didn’t just play music — they owned the room. Tight, dynamic, and completely in sync, with vocals and instrumentals that hit every note perfectly. The kind of performance that makes you stop mid-conversation and just listen. People were cheering, vibing, and completely locked in.

The atmosphere? Laid-back but electric. Great crowd, welcoming vibe, and the kind of place where you walk in a stranger and leave feeling like part of something.

“I just had my daughter’s Baptism party at the HWC and I would HIGHLY recommend!!! Everything was exceptional. The food was phenomenal and the service was amazing. Our guests are still talking about the food and the cake is definitely one of the best we have ever tried. The restaurant is beautiful but the staff and owners make you feel like family. They were so helpful throughout the process and made it such a pleasure to work with them. They really treat you like family. “Tarry Tavern for dinner: Mom had Seared maine sea scallops with local corn and leek risotto and I got the roasted Hudson valley duck breast with pecan cranberry wild rice and sunchoke purée. Unreal. Mom cleaned her plate at a restaurant for the first time in ages and mine was to die for. We shared the pumpkin pecan bread pudding for dessert. Outstanding experience with excellent, friendly service“
