“Have heard incredible things about this spot. Parked around the corner on the street before stepping into this quaint restaurant where we were seated right away for lunch. You can put your order in online or just order with the waitress who brought us iced water. For our starter we ordered the Ika which is a whole squid. It was absolutely delicious at an incredible price point. For our mains we ordered the classic ramen as well the gyokai tsukemen. You can never go wrong with the classic ramen. The broth was so rich. Was so surprised to find that dipping noodles were served here. Was feeling the fish based one. Could have ordered even more servings of the jammy egg that was done just right. Did not have any room for dessert but will be back to try the sweet potato cheesecake. Every other table around us ordered a sweet drink from the fruit teas to the sodas. Our waitress was very nice and made it easy to close out.“

“I was so excited to spend my birthday at Leticia's. The food and service were fine, and the atmosphere seemed lively enough, but the night ended in total heartbreak. My husband had specifically arranged for a sweet birthday surprise—a simple dessert and a song—and the hostess completely forgot. Watching the night end in absolute silence without even a mention of my birthday was devastating. It completely ruined what should have been a special moment. Remind the hostess or server several times about anything special you want yo do.“

“Ordered for the first time last night, they were super accommodating since we called at 8:45 and they close at 9:00…. They made us 5 pies and I’m was so appreciative. They were so nice and even recommended one which I absolutely loved (with potatoes!) we can’t wait to go back but to eat there so we get the Pizza Hut out of the oven! “SHAKALAKA Bakery in Flushing is one of the more visually polished modern Chinese bakeries in the area and a reliable stop if you’re looking for cakes, pastries, or grab-and-go sweets that feel a bit more updated compared to traditional bakeries nearby.

The mango-based cakes are the most consistent thing here. They’re light, creamy, and built around fresh fruit rather than overly heavy frosting, which makes them easy to finish even after a full meal. The matcha cake also works well, leaning more milky than bitter, with a soft sponge that holds its structure without feeling dry. The pork floss cakes are one of the more interesting savory-sweet options, and they’re better than expected if you’re used to standard bakery versions since they don’t go overboard on sweetness.

The croissants and egg tarts are solid supporting items rather than the main reason to come. The croissants are flaky with a noticeable butter layer, and the egg tarts are best when eaten warm since the custard tightens up when cold. The purple rice desserts are heavier but work if you want something more filling and texturally different from the fruit cakes.

“Dropped in on a whim since parking was available out front. Manager said under new operations and building a new tapas style menu. Food was delicious, steak slightly overcooked but not inedible. Service was good and attentive. Late dinner on weekday, place was empty with only a few of what appeared like friends of staff hanging out at bar. Will not hesitate to visit again and see their progress, seems like they are making the attempt to have a nice resteraunt.“

“I’m literally writing this while I’m still sitting here because these guys deserve a shout-out. I’ve been to a bunch of Dave’s Hot Chicken spots, and this is easily the best one.

I was having a nightmare with the app, and Mohammed took the lead helping me figure the whole thing out. He was patient, never rushed me, and made sure everything was taken care of. Ahnaf was very helpful too, and both of them were friendly, professional, and genuinely cared about making sure I had a great experience.

The whole staff has been awesome. If you’re trying to decide which Dave’s Hot Chicken to go to, make it the 188th Street location in Queens. I’ll definitely be back.“

“The food was so delicious! I’m so thankful because I was having a terrible day and really needed something fresh.

The spanakopita slice was huge and came with lemon potatoes! The filling for the spanakopita was stuffed and the pastry was so flaky. I was actually contemplating ordering a side of the lemon potatoes but decided not to, so I was so happy to see them included with the spanakopita. The potato’s were sooo flavorful. The tzatziki had plenty of fresh cucumber and tasted amazing! I also got the lamb gyro, which is only $11 on Uber Eats… definitely a fair price. It was flavorful and packed with veggies and lamb. I thought the portions were perfect, and everything tasted great. I even have enough left over for another meal later. I will say the food was a little on the salty side, but I love sodium lol. Thank you guys for making me such a delicious meal!“

“A buddy at work told me about this little beauty on the corner of 97th & 23rd Ave in East Elmhurst so I said I'd give it a try & it did not disappoint. It's a nice clean & bright restaurant with some tables & chairs outside & inside with two countertops & seating for 8 people on high stools & a small table & 2 chairs, nice AC blowing cool air. The server was very nice and they had the World Cup on TV & music playing down low. I ordered the double Burger Queen w/ truffle fries & a can of coke zero. The burger was moist tasteful sauces delicious & fried onions give it that extra taste. I saw some comments about burger & fries too salty (THEY WEREN'T) The truffle fries again were absolutely delicious so once I was done I went and ordered another double Burger Queen. This will be my go to for a delicious tasting burger & fries. I will try the triple with a fried egg next time. Listen, it's worth the visit. G'WAN YA WON'T BE SORRY 😉“

We also tried the mango sticky rice drink and the jasmine matcha latte, and both were sooo good! The mango sticky rice drink is such a fun and unique combination, while the jasmine matcha latte has such a nice floral flavor.

“The food was great and the staff was very patient, considering the fact that one of the individuals on my table was very loud and we sat for quite a while after finishing our meal. I did see them checking on us and I know the moved a patron away from us, but they never made us feel uncomfortable and for that I am grateful - I know my guest was a louder than usual friend. “Hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner here and we are SO glad did - everything was perfect! Everyone could not get over how delicious all the food was. Danny worked with us to create a menu that was tailored to us and our guests and we got SO much food included in the package we did. He also worked with us to create table arrangements that worked best for our event. I was worried at first that the space only being partially private and not a true private room would be an issue but it was not at all! We really didn’t need it and were happy to still get to enjoy the Sinatra singer that plays for the restaurant that night. He even came over and sang for our party and had us dance which was not expected but a fun surprise that we loved! Overall we had a great event here and I am so happy we chose them to host it!“
