“My cousin and I loved our experience, as this was our first time trying the food here. I'm not a take pictures of the food person, but the sweet plantain gnocchi and braised oxtails were amazing. I enjoyed the suya rib eye and espresso martini as well.

The vibe of the restaurant is super chill, we sat upstairs and the energy was great for a Friday night in Brooklyn.

“The food was good, but they really need to do better about customer service. We had a party of Nine that wanted to dine-in. We were given no help only told us to put the table back after we moved them together ourselves to seat us. Luckily we dine in because we was missing a full order of Rasta pasta. My mom order okra and fish. We were missing the okra so they refunded me a dollar. As we were leaving the young lady approached me saying they gave her pumpkin that she didn’t order or want and asked for the dollar back. I was very surprised about that. As I said customer service was not up to standard.“

“I bought cupcakes, currants roll, cassava pone and sponge cake. The lines were long but the workers, worked swiftly and in an order so the waiting time was not bad at all. It's been about a couple of years since I've been to the restaurant( about 5 years ) or more the deserts were tasty, only one thing I wish were the same the size of the currants roll, they are cutting them very small and selling them cheaper than any other bakery I know. Next time I go back to Brooklyn I will make sure I have more cash to buy food and pastries. They don't take CARD of any kind, only CASH, CASH, CASH.“

“I walked in on a Saturday around 12pmto get oxtail and their customer service was amazing. I got oxtail, rice &peas with oxtail patty. They were both really good, the patty was very flaky and sweet. I sat to eat and the oxtail was really good , they used a balsamic rice and I loved every bite.

“I was unfamiliar with this restaurant, but my husband received a gift card from his colleagues at his retirement party. We came for Valentine's Day and were very pleased with the choice! We started with Old Fashioned and Fried Green Tomatoes. Perfect batter and crunch. The bacon jam gave the perfect amount of bite. Mr. TSwi had fish (sorry - no photo). I had the garlic clove stuffed filet. It was fork-tender and so delicious. Potatoes fried in tallow butter were decadent. We had the Bread Pudding for dessert - and the leftover for breakfast Sunday morning. Overall, great value for the quality of the food. Not ridiculously expensive. Not ostentatious (TSwi wore jeans and a blazer and was well-dressed compared to others.) We will look forward to coming back again soon.“

“After moving to Bergen County I was on a mission to find the best Jamaican food spot. I’m from Queens, NY and I miss my South Ozone Park / West NY food.

I go to a gym nearby and just randomly found this spot and thank goodness I did.

The food is really good, everything is well balanced in terms of flavor and the hospitality is great.

We’ve all seen that “we don have dat” video and this is the opposite. If he doesn’t have it, give him a minute to work his magic. Your patience will be rewarded.

If you like good seasoned food, just give it a try, you won’t be disappointed. I know I wasn’t. I’ll be coming here every time I crave oxtails and fried chicken.“

“Ryry's catered a conference lunch for us for about 100 people and it was delicious food and a very professional experience. They were super responsive over phone and email, made helpful suggestions about planning the menu, answered questions about allergens, and overall were so kind each time we spoke. People could not stop saying how good the food was--and they were right! My only regret is that since I was running the conference I didn't get to eat as much of the food as I would have liked! “Oxtail was a 10/10, absolutely amazing, and all the sides were great. I wasn’t a big fan of the brown stew chicken (the chicken itself was a bit dry), but the stew was rich and flavorful.
The atmosphere was perfect for a date night or a calm dinner. The owner’s wife even stopped by to let us know they have jazz on some Fridays and weekends, which was a really nice touch. They’re still new, so please be kind — but the FOOD WAS GOOD.We also tried the mango mint non-alcoholic drink, which was refreshing and delicious. Definitely worth checking out!“
