“Incredible Israeli food. Ignore the fake 1 star reviews from individuals who have never even eaten here and came to the reviews to spew hate. The Salatim were on point, the lamb/brisket was incredible, and all of the staff were incredibly friendly and had us laughing the whole night. The fries with the tahini ketchup were also incredible! If you complain about the price then you didn’t come to the right place, do your research. This place is priced for the high quality food, world famous chef, and experience. Thank you to the whole Laser Wolf crew! We had gotten engaged the night before and our meal was flooded with extra treats from the staff, they went out of their way to congratulate us and make our dining experience 10/10. A reminder for Google reviewers to limit your comments to the food and your personal experience at this restaurant. Food should unite us, not divide us.“

The waiter was friendly and relaxing so the overall experience was pleasant. We ordered the assorted mezze and then got the assorted combo of entrees with chicken schwarma, falafel, and kafta. Overall very solid - my favorite was the cauliflower mezze - but otherwise nothing really stole my attention and stood out.“

Maybe it's a one off but it made it hard to enjoy. Atmosphere is ok. The place has good bones but the designer didn't get a number of things right (e.g. artwork doesn't quite work with the space, table and chairs could have been better selected, floor is an odd choice). It's still a decent atmosphere but they could do a lot more with their space if they had the right designer“

“Best meal I had during my 5 day NYC visit. If you're looking for vibrant, delicious foods, in a gorgeous setting with colorful tiles surrounded by plants, k'far is for you! Everything we ordered: Chai tea with oat milk - perfect amount of spice and sweetness. Crispy mushroom hummus - I hate mushrooms but I dipped around the mushrooms and oh my word. Creamy hummus and the absolute softest and chewiest pita I've ever had. I probably could've had the whole plate as my entire meal. Jerusalem bagel with egg and cheese - I love sandwiches that actually fit in your mouth. The cheese was SO melty and rich, the egg was fluffy, and the schug added another flavor dimension and is a great touch. Very filling and I'm glad I only ate half. Shashuka - tomatoey egg-y goodness! Very flavorful, fun to dip pita in. Pistachio sticky buns - my absolute favorite. Soft, sweet, glazed goodness. My only regret was not ordering 3 to go. I only got 1 to go and we fought over it the next day. Great experience and would come back next time I'm in Brooklyn! And if you're ever in Philadelphia, check out their sister restaurant Zahav (also PHENOMENAL). Service was quick and courteous.“

But Best was the Food!! Tasty and Huge, we had falafel, wraps in handmade thin bread. “Since moving to the area, Nana's is one place that is consistently fantastic and everyone I bring here raves about it. Simple, yes, but freshly made, flavorful, and healthy isn't always easy to find when you're trying to grab a quick bite.I think the way the menu is laid out is a bit confusing if you've never been. Once you understand how to navigate that, it's smooth sailing. My regular order is the Mu'shwarma, pita or platter depending on how I feel that day. I am pescatarian and love that they don't use artificial fake meat, but this dish is just really well flavored mushrooms. Their platters are great because you can choose so many sides, and they REALLY stuff their pitas, so I think either one works, depending on what mood I'm in. If you get the platter, you can choose pita or pita chips on the side. Their pita chips are fresh and the best I've ever tasted. I'm not usually a drink gal, but I love their Limonana so I do order it quite frequently. Very refreshing and made with all fresh ingredients. Not overly sugary or anything. I've tried a bunch of their salads/salatim and they are all amazing, but the Babaganoush is a MUST. I'm not always a fan of the dish because of the texture but theirs is the best I've ever had. So flavorful and fantastic. Any of the spicy salads (spicy tomato) are actually quite spicy, so be aware. There isn't so much of an ambiance here as there's 1-2 tight tables and it's definitely more of a to go place, although I have dined in and eaten outside when weather permits. There is no table service. The prices are definitely on the higher side, but I can often stretch one of their meals to 2 and the ingredients are so fresh and so delicious, so it is worth the price. Don't expect any $7 street cart pitas here though! I've taken my parents and several friends and everyone that has been has only raved about how fresh and delicious it is, so it's a must go to and a neighborhood staple for me.“

“Well, folks, gather 'round because I've got a tale that'll whisk you away to a land far, far from the daily grind. It all began on a day so unremarkable, it could've been any Tuesday from last year. My to-do list was longer than a grocery receipt for a family reunion, and let me tell ya, my spirits were about as high as a snake's belly in a wagon rut. Now, amidst the sea of sameness, something extraordinary happened. I stumbled upon a place called "Omar's," a Mediterranean cuisine oasis that promised an escape to the exotic lands of Egypt, right in the middle of my humdrum day.Stepping into "Omar's" was like finding a hidden door to another world. The place was decked out with such care and detail; it felt like I'd hitched a ride on a magic carpet. The seating, the decor, the ambiance—it all sang the song of the Nile, and let me tell you, I was ready to dance along. But the true magic of "Omar's" wasn't just in its design. Oh no, it was the food that had me spellbound. The chicken shawarma was like a love letter from the heavens, each bite a perfect harmony of spices and tenderness. The hummus? Creamier than a dream, and the falafel was so divine, I half-expected it to sprout wings and ascend right there and then. Now, I gotta be honest, the staff had about as much warmth as a snowman in January, but folks, I was there for the food, and the food did not disappoint. It was like finding water in the desert—precious and life-giving.And then there was Omar, the owner. The man was like a desert prince, charming and easy on the eyes, making rounds like he was welcoming you into his home. He had this way of making you feel like you were the only person in the room, a friend he'd known for years. It's not every day you find a place where the owner treats you like a long-lost buddy. So, if you're ever feeling like you need a break from the monotony, a taste of something truly special, head on over to "Omar's." Sure, the staff might not be the friendliest bunch, but when the food's that good, who's to complain? You're there for a culinary adventure, a taste of Egypt, and maybe, just maybe, to catch a glimpse of Omar, the friendliest face in the Mediterranean dining scene. Trust me, "Omar's" is a journey worth taking, no passport required.“

“What a fun experience and the food was fabulous! I ordered the baba ghanoush, which came with the best pita I’ve ever had. I didn’t see any menus, so you should ask the staff to guide you for a selection or read reviews before you go! I luckily had seen the tagine recommended, so I got the tagine with calamari and shrimp. Definitely a portion for two or more! I went as a solo diner and it was much too filling for just me. I would definitely recommend this as a place to go with a group, so you can order a few different things to share. The tagine came bubbling in a clay pot, and was very intensely flavored! Weirdly, I almost liked the vegetables more than the seafood! The shrimp seemed a little over cooked, but I think that’s the nature of this dish with shrimp. I would love to try again with a fish that could handle more intense heat. The tagine came with this wonderful onion rice that was a great pair. The meal came out to about $60 (with bottled water), which again would be a better situation for two! Next time, I’d love to try a whole fish and the fried calamari! Highly recommend making the trip to Astoria—it was walkable from the N and then walkable to the Museum of the Moving Image.“

“Literally one of the best restaurants I've eaten at in NYC (and I've been to a lot)! We ordered 5 Mezze options (potato, cauliflower , baba ganouj, labne, and hummus) to form a platter and everything was phenomenal. My boyfriend thought he didn't like baba ganoush until he tried it at this restaurant! This will definitely become a regular spot for us!Vegetarian options: All of the Mezze options are vegetarian, and they have many veg entrees and sides as well!“

“First time to ever try pizza shawarma, definitely a great choice! Will be ordering again also I ordered the chicken parm and Philly cheese steak sandwiches for a quick lunch. Both were delicious and very fresh. The chicken was not soggy like most chicken parm sandwiches I've ordered from other places . The service was very fast and friendly. The restaurant was clean and well maintained. I' definitely come back to try other things from the menu. I saw someone having the shawarma platter and it looked delicious.“

I'm a huge fan of Middle Eastern, North African and South Asian food. The owner is very friendly, the food is authentic and flavourful, prices are excellent - I'll definitely be back again soon!Wheelchair accessibility: Door is adjacent to sidewalk.“

“I love fool - it’s a fava bean dish that you eat with pita. Different middle eastern cultures have a version of it. Pita palace has a fool dish on the menu so I decided to try it. When I called in the order, the owner told me “it’s the best fool in the nation, Puerto Rico and Canada”. I’ve eaten this dish before many times, in many establishments and I’ve even made it myself. I have to admit, the fool dish at pita palace was truly the best I’ve had. The spice and seasoning is next level. If you’ve never had fool before, I highly recommend you try the version from pita palace.“

“We have tried their food multiple times. It's best when you dine in. They give you a big portion of rice, and meat is fresher. We love their lamb/chicken haneeth. Lamb/chicken mandi and grilled salmon. We have taken a takeout a couple of times. First of all, the rice portion is less compared to what they serve you in restaurant, and meat wasn't fresh both time, sadly. Meat was dry, felt warmed up, and went bad in fridge in one night.I hope they serve equally good quality food for dining in and taking out customers.Parking is a bit hard around them. Restaurant is usually clean. Mostly men are sitting there to eat, so it doesn't give you a family Restaurant vibes. bit, we went in with family multiple times, and the staff was kind, friendly, and accommodating.“

“We had dinner here with our booking beginning at 7pm. It was quite full and there was only one server/host, I think the owner of the place, but she was able to cater to us among all other customers in a timely manner. The restaurant closed at 10pm but my friend and I lost track of time in conversation. We were not even asked to leave as there was still a party of 6 people and ourselves (party of 2). The host was so accommodating and welcomed us staying until after we were well done (sometime between 11pm -12am). Not once were we asked to leave. Also on dessert, we were able to get their almond pudding even around 11pm, and after the kitchen closed (which was something we wanted to taste while there). Overall it was a memorable experience - food, Turkish wine & the service. It's my second time being there. I would go again.“

“Food was delicious! I ordered something I wouldn’t normally get at a shawarma spot (chicken caesar wrap) and it was SO GOOD. Sauce and flavor were on point. I got to try the chicken shawarma sandwich with my husband’s order and, again, sauce and flavor were on point. To top it off, I was curious about the dolma but it was cold vs warm (which is how I prefer dolma) so they let me try it on the house. They were confident in their product, as they should be it turned out! Also delicious. Perfect soft texture. All in all, a great food experience! Definitely recommend.“

“I went to Nala to try out the Middle Eastern Counter and Grill. I wanted to try out a Naya bowl. The cashier notified me that I can customize my bowl with meats and veggie toppings. I chose beef shawarma as the meat of choice and went creative for my Nala Bowl. For middle eastern dishes, never leave out the hummus. In addition to the hummus, I also added onions, lettuce, cabbage, mixed greens, and a feta cheese. I loved the taste and texture of the Nala Bowl the associate helped prepare for me. The meat was especially well-seasoned and the sauce added the perfect spice for the meal. The customer service was excellent, the place was comfortable and organized, and my order was processed smoothly in the quiet evening. Thank you Nala!Vegetarian options: Vegetarians have full control over what can be put in a Nala Bowl, for example. Simply refrain from selecting a meat topping as a choice and proceed to select vegetarian options for your veggie bowl.“

“The last time I passed by the bright green food truck parked on the corner of 31st and Ditmars, I had just eaten a massive meal at Hamido's but I made a mental note to return because the food smelled so good even from across the street. I recently was able to return, with an empty stomach, to try the King of Falafel & Shawarma. The vendor greeted me with a falafel to try, and I immediately noticed it was oval shaped. It did taste significantly crunchier, which I am attributing the larger surface area to, and the spices were fantastic. I had my heart set on trying their kefta but unfortunately by the time I arrived late Saturday evening, they were out of everything except their chicken and falafel, so I had a platter of that instead ($12). My plate was absolutely packed and smothered with their white sauce (highly recommend the red sauce as well as it packs a subtle punch), and the salad was a very welcome addition to the rice and mound of marinated and shaved chicken shawarma. There is so much flavor packed in every single bite, and the way the chicken was marinated definitely sets it apart from other shawarma carts I've tried thus far. Everyone I spoke to, including the other patrons waiting for their order, had only amazing praises to sing for KoF and I can easily understand why. I'm very happy to discover that they also have a truck on 53rd and Park, as Astoria is a bit of a trek for me.PS- An update: I have now finally managed to sample their chicken and beef shawarma, as well as their kefta too. My favorite still remains the chicken shawarma, which edges out the beef because it remains juicer and better marinated. I found the kefta a little too dry for my preference and it lacked that smoky grilled flavor. If you are going to order one thing, get their chicken or chicken and falafel platter with white sauce, red sauce, and extra tahini. And maybe a side order of falafels (4 for $3 to munch on the way home).“
