“I went here today and had the most delightful lunch with my boyfriend. The co-owner was very welcoming and gave us many suggestions. We split a French onion soup and the duck panini. The co-owner gave us a delicious roasted pepper dip and a mustard sauce that went great with the sandwich. He also ended up giving us a Nutella crepe on the house! The food was great and the co-owner was lovely.“

Sandwich was warm. It felt like a hug. It was just what I needed. Very small seating area so definitely more of a togo spot but I was ravenous, undeterred and a bit delirious so inhaled the sandwich there and then got a Nutella filled donut to go.“

“Great roast beef sandwich served on a bun soaked with the beef juices. You eat with a knife and fork. Not fancy. Paper cups for soft drinks. Great fries and onion rings. The place has been around since 1938. All cash. No credit cards.
We make the pilgrimage whenever we find ourselves in Brooklyn.“

“I attended an event that had rented this space. It is very clean, well lit, everything with the space seemed to be working well. It is in a complex that faces a parking lot. My only suggestion would be better signage as to where the entrance is at. (Hint: look for the blue door)“

The inside dining area seems like it’s still stuck in the 1990s, but I’m fine with that!“

I also ordered fries with furikake but it wasn’t cooked well :(

“Love the Wheelhouse. I usually come here for brunch and dinner. The sandwiches and pastas are always on point, melding richness and flavor. The Cuban sandwich and pulled pork sandwiches are my go tos. If I’m in the mood for messy, I’ll have the short rib sandwich - juicy and slightly sweet. I recently got the short rib cavatelli pasta and it might be my new fave. My boyfriend’s standard grilled cheese with a chicken cutlet is also excellent. But it is the chicken alfredo pasta that makes me wish I weren’t lactose intolerant.
