“My opinion is 8.3/10. Overall I did enjoy it for my first shashuka. $15 for hummus, 2 eggs and 2 pitas pockets. Overall fresh and enjoyable. “We had a really great experience here from beginning to end. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the shawarma. It was fresh, full of flavor, perfectly seasoned, and cooked just right. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients, and the portions were very satisfying as well.

The service was also excellent. Our waitress was extremely nice, friendly, patient, and attentive throughout the entire meal. She made sure we had everything we needed and made us feel very welcome and comfortable.

Overall, it was a wonderful experience with great food, great service, and a very pleasant atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious shawarma and friendly service. We will absolutely be coming back again!“

“Had the falafel sandwich like many times as a vegan, but this was soooo good. Crispy outside, soft moist inside. Your choice of “salads”/pickled veggies to add into it. I had baba ghanoush, Julienne pickled carrots , and a cubed roasted eggplant, onion, and tomato. So flavorful without being overpowering w any one ingredient. Eddy makes everything homemade by hand. Everything! The falafel, hummus, baba ghanoush, the pickles, the pita. Pita so good. Large thick and soft. My friends had a beef kabob sandwich and chicken plate. They said it was delicious. “We ordered for the first time tonight from Sammy, former proprietor of JuJu’s Bagels now transformed into El Toum. We ordered 4 items and they were ready for pickup in less than 25 minutes. The Mixed Kebab platter, Kofta Burger with fries, Falafel Sandwich with extra tahini sauce, and El Toum Appetizer were refreshingly homemade, tasted delicious, and proved outstanding bangs for the buck. More than enough food for a family of four with leftovers. This is a very welcome addition to a neighborhood missing this kind of fare. I highly recommend supporting this local business. Some of the best falafel and tabouli I’ve tasted in quite some time too!“

“Have my regular halal spots but decided to give this place a try on a whim last night. Ordered mix combo over rice with white sauce and green sauce. Pretty tasty, good portion, good prices. Shoutout to the chef, they’re cooking with care.

Zaki is also very friendly and I watched him even come around the counter to open the door for one his customers leaving with a scooter. Good owner mindset and customer service, puts him and his shop a cut above a lot of other spots. Place is also clean with seating to eat. Recommended.“

“I’ve been eating this food for decades now. The brick and mortar location has delicious variety in appetizers and platters in addition to the classics. The food never fell off and is always fresh and the owners are sweet people. “Really a great and very unique restaurant. First of all, the bread is more than great and completely different from any other bread in the United States. In the restaurant, you feel as if you are in Egypt or any other Arab country. You can have breakfast with beans, falafel, hummus, liver, and heart, just like you would eat in any popular restaurant in Egypt. For lunch, you can also eat Mandi and various delicious meats. “One of the best shawarmas I have had in the US after leaving Michigan! Their chicken shawarma wrap was incredible and bursting with flavor. Also you get great value for money! I can't wait to go back and try their entire menu over the course of time.

“I went to order some food because I saw they closed at 1:30Am I arrived and they said they only taking orders on line because it’s already 12:45am I made the order not realizing they had a another location in queens the guy said it was fine and just made the order for me, and he made it so well and such a good amount. “I visited Yummy Tummy bakery for the first time today, with five other friends of mine to support a Black-owned business during Black History Month. The owner Melissa and Kaylan made the entire experience a delight. The two of them made sure we got all of our treats in a timely manner and treated us with such care. The sweets themselves were absolutely delicious. The fruity pebble cupcake particularly was the perfect amount of sweet, moist, and airy. If you’re in the neighborhood, I’d definitely recommend you stop by!“

“i order from here often and their food is so good & it’s halal! everything i’ve eaten from here has tasted fresh & well seasoned. They close around 2 am and always add new stuff/combos to the menu. “One of my favorite halal spots in queens. Food and service is impeccable. Even though I got a salad platter they still threw in some rice so you won’t go hungry. Chicken and lamb are amazing. Perfect amount of char and still tender. They also usually give out a free sample of falafel which is cooked and seasoned perfectly. They also cook it in an oval shape so it’s a bit more crispy as opposed to the circle ones. Must try and always get extra white sauce and hot sauce. Food is hot, fresh and comes out quickly“

“This is a great restaurant. It's casual but the food is very high quality and delicious! My son had the Lava Chicken Shawarma Arabic and I had the Vegan Arabic Sandwich. We got the combo for each (with fries and a drink) and the total price was $40. The vegan sandwich was amazing - lots of vegetables and falafel - all seasoned wonderfully. I think it is the best vegan sandwich I ever had. The chicken shawarma was great too - and plated up beautifully. The restaurant's atmosphere is serene and relaxing. A++.“

“This place is such a gem! Used to live super close but now it’s a little bit of a trek but absolutely worth it. I have tried most of the menu and everything is always great and fresh. During this visit I opted for the combination pita sandwich (shawarma and falafel). I also highly recommend the spinach pie, lentil soup and Jerusalem falafel sandwich (a vegetarian option stuffed with all kinds of delicious goodies). Owner is warm and friendly, always makes us feel so welcome. Prices are great! Only drawback is there isn’t too much seating but when the weather is nice there are a few tables outside (pict so you can see). Highly, highly recommend!“

“This spot is Legit, new owners are welcoming and friendly. Celebrated a Friend’s birthday and all the staff was very attentive. They even decorated the booth with a Happy birthday sign and some flowers. They have beer buckets, cocktails, and different selection of beer . We had Chicken mofongo as appetizers, just a quick bite . The nachos were complimentary for the tables/ booth. I really enjoyed the hooka “Love”, kitchen closes at 1am . We eat a LOT of halal cart food, and Abdul offers some of the best we’ve had. If you’re in the area (or flying out of JFK and have some extra time), it’s worth a small detour.“

Delicious Yemeni food, likely the best in Queens, whether sit down, take-out, or from their street grill, coupled with the friendly service will keep me and my family coming back. Take the poor reviews of this business and set them aside as merely bad judgment on the reviewer's. This is not a fast food restaurant! Expect to wait a little, but you will be satisfied.Their Steinway Halal cart outside offers half chicken and kabobs over rice. Delicious!“

“First time trying NAYA and overall we enjoyed it. The food was very good. We had the chicken shawarma and falafel and liked both, and we’d definitely order from here again. Portions were adequate, although a little smaller than what we’re used to at CAVA. The pita was the weakest part: it came in a plastic bag and was soft rather than tasting fresh and crisp. We also missed the self-serve flavored drinks and lemonades that CAVA offers.
The biggest issue was pickup. We ordered through the NAYA app at 5:30, which said the order would be ready within 20 minutes. We arrived at 5:50 and it hadn’t even been started. They began preparing it after we asked, and we waited about another 10 minutes despite the restaurant not appearing particularly busy.
Overall, good food and we’d come back. CAVA is still our preference when both are an option, but NAYA is a solid alternative.“
