“I saw that one review from the person saying their oxtail was bad, but saw a plethora of positive reviews standing against it. I decided to give them a go and do NOT regret it! Lovely little spot for a late night meal! The cashier was very pleasant with a great attitude. I came by after finding my Airbnb and ordered 3 empanadas: Jerk Chicken, Salmon, & Oxtail. This is not a standard menu option, but she told me I could mix and match :)

I loved it!!! WONDERFULLY tasty food and a perfect crisp to the empanadas - not too hard and not too soft/mushy. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!“

“This place has amazing Jamaican food! We have tried the mild beef patties, oxtail, jerk chicken and chicken curry. The meals come with a cabbage- vegetable blend and fried plantains. The owner gives so much food and is very friendly, but the food is so flavorful, hot and delicious! We come back here a few times a month. I especially recommend the oxtail- it’s like a party in your mouth with all the delicious spices!“

“The Jerk chicken was great and so was the Jerk Shrimp which had a great taste as well. My first time being here was great and even ordering on delivery apps as well was a great option as they even left there number for customer service on Uber East which is the only restaurant I see doing this. Overall food was great and I would recommend anyone to give this a try. Support black businesses more often people and be careful with what you rate the restaurants to as they are MUCH better then what the rating provides.“

Each dish had its own layer of perfection with unique flavors and exquisite presentation. I’d say a restaurant on its way to becoming Michelin…..bravo! “Very impressed since they was decorating the place. I was passing by every day till they finally open and I desire to try the food, I was curious and also I’m not a vegan person. When I finally try that food I just got in shock. Super tasty, delicious, the Trinidad and Dominican Republic flavors- was so down the earth. So thankful to have them at the neighborhood, the service is excellent and Yesenia and her employees super professionals. The ambiance and decoration soo relaxing- I love the food and the service, how they welcome you, is hard to find a place like that. “Ive been to Negril twice and they continue to blow me away with the great vibes, EXCELLENT food, and reallly interesting and fun drinks. I mean, if you wanna have a good night come here. You literally cant go wrong with anything on the menu but personally the jerk chicken pasta is still in my dreams. And our server Renae went above and beyond. She even shared the history of ackee and i thought that was so nice and gave us some to try with our meal. I mean i will 1000% be back.“

“Very nice restaurant in a brownstone bldg with large windows, a full bar, beautiful Afrocentric art and a spiral staircase to the second floor.

The food was pricey but amazingly delicious 🤤. We had a truffle burger (8 out of 10), braised oxtails (8 out of 10), rice and beans (7 out of 10), Ras & pasta (8 out of 10) , mussels appetizer (10 out of 10) and Caesar salad (9 out of 10).

The wait staff were friendly and courteous but I thought could've been a bit more attentive as we had to actively search for our water glasses to be refilled and also seek out someone after no one came to take the drink order.

Other than that there was live music that was really nice (although a bit too loud).

“The food was good, but they really need to do better about customer service. We had a party of Nine that wanted to dine-in. We were given no help only told us to put the table back after we moved them together ourselves to seat us. Luckily we dine in because we was missing a full order of Rasta pasta. My mom order okra and fish. We were missing the okra so they refunded me a dollar. As we were leaving the young lady approached me saying they gave her pumpkin that she didn’t order or want and asked for the dollar back. I was very surprised about that. As I said customer service was not up to standard.“

Good West Indian take-out restaurants in New York City are usually identified by the length of the line. These guys are extremely efficient in moving the line. Even so, expect a long, snaking line. “I was unfamiliar with this restaurant, but my husband received a gift card from his colleagues at his retirement party. We came for Valentine's Day and were very pleased with the choice! We started with Old Fashioned and Fried Green Tomatoes. Perfect batter and crunch. The bacon jam gave the perfect amount of bite. Mr. TSwi had fish (sorry - no photo). I had the garlic clove stuffed filet. It was fork-tender and so delicious. Potatoes fried in tallow butter were decadent. We had the Bread Pudding for dessert - and the leftover for breakfast Sunday morning. Overall, great value for the quality of the food. Not ridiculously expensive. Not ostentatious (TSwi wore jeans and a blazer and was well-dressed compared to others.) We will look forward to coming back again soon.“

“Czen is one of my favorite restaurants. The food, service and atmosphere is always great and the staff makes you feel welcome at every visit. The rum punch is a must have drink, and you can’t go wrong with any of the food options.“

I bought the lunch special for someone else which was a bargain at less than $6, after tax. The salmon and callaloo patties were hearty and tasted great but the dough was tough. this was only 2 PM iso it should not have been this hard to bite into.“

“Feels like a home cooked meal surrounded by friends and family.

The produce is fresh and meats are delightfully tender and flavorful. Love in every bite and always a new culinary experience meal to meal.

The cocktails are perfectly balanced and the poured drinks are a thoughtful pairing to any dish.

The menu is literally curated from top down and if you find yourself in a spicy moment start in the middle of the drink menu and work your up or down depending on how feisty you’re feeling.

10/10, would dine again… and you should too :)“

“Ryry's catered a conference lunch for us for about 100 people and it was delicious food and a very professional experience. They were super responsive over phone and email, made helpful suggestions about planning the menu, answered questions about allergens, and overall were so kind each time we spoke. People could not stop saying how good the food was--and they were right! My only regret is that since I was running the conference I didn't get to eat as much of the food as I would have liked! We will definitely use Ryry's again for future events.“

“First time trying Trinidadian food, and I was a bit lost on what to order. We ended up getting the goat roti and fish doubles. The portions were huge, and I loved the flavours. I’d never had anything like the fish doubles before, and it turned out to be my favourite. I’ll definitely be back to try the bake and saltfish, along with some of their other dishes.“

The food was spot on. Best I ever had, equal to the home cooked version I had with friends in Little Havana, Miami. Even the touristy places on 8th street.
Very inexpensive. Enough for left overs the next day.“
