“Perfect little neighborhood gyro shop. We are frequent customers. Very residential area, quiet and relaxed. The food is great, it always tastes very fresh. Large portions. Our usual waitress Violetta is attentive, friendly, and wonderful. We live a block away and they are good neighbors and a wonderful addition to the community. Only drawback when visiting is that parking can be a challenge.“

“This place has quickly become my favorite restaurant in Queens. A quick walk past the kitchen and the friendly staff on the grill upon entry and you are already excited about what’s to come.

Service is attentive and they offer you a lot of help with the menu if needed. I noticed the table next to me was sharing a bottle of ouzo. They noticed me looking and gladly offered me some. It was a great experience.

Keep in mind they can get busy on the weekends and on holidays.“

“Everything about our experience here was so so amazing. The second we walked in the door all the servers were so warm and welcoming. When ordering our food they were incredibly patient despite being very busy and took the time to answer any questions we had and talk to us about Greek culture and cuisine. The food felt like a homecooked meal and I would not be surprised if there was someone's grandmother in the kitchen doing all the cooking. On top of all this, the feta....it changed my life. I am not sure where they get it from but I could eat it with a spoon from the jar. Highly, highly, highly recommend this restaurant.“

“Highly recommend. I loved the tomato cucumber salad and branzino which came with lemon potatoes. The house provided complimentary pita and babaganoush. Service was great and very welcoming. There were three other parties there that all spoke Greek which was a great sign. If you are celebrating a birthday, they will bring out sparklers!“

“Gus and Marty’s is a MUST try. The ambiance is relaxed but sophisticated and the food is to die for. Best pita I have ever had and they were generous with it! The eggplant dip and lemon potatoes were my favorites but you can’t go wrong. Lamb riblets, spinach pie, and octopus were all incredible as well. Our server Alex was friendly and attentive. We were visiting from out of town and will try to make it here every single time we’re in Brooklyn“

With most things in life, it’s the people working there. The staff in the owner are funny, helpful, and just there to give everyone a good time. The food just simply blows me away. The service was friendly and the place feels cozy, nothing fancy but nice quality. I also tried the baklava since they didn’t have cheesecake that day. It was okay, maybe 6/10, not something I’d order again. But for sure, if you come here, get the chicken cheeseburger with fries , that’s the real highlight“

I had to give this a 3/√-star for atmosphere because there are 2 floors with djs. When we went, we had a large bday party so they sat us downstairs where every other large table had a birthday party as well. The classy family style dinner quickly turns into a rave during your meal and it can be jarring for some. You can't hear anything except for the music and so many folks were standing on their chairs waving their dinner napkins in the air. If you love a noisy and lively dinner, this is perfect for you!
