“I came here on a Thursday night and it was relatively busy so I would recommend a reservation. Service was attentive but not overwhelming. The ambiance is very nice; rustic yet not dingy. They provided complementary bread and butter which came in the form of rolls. For my main, I ended up getting the maple chicken salad. The maple balsamic vinaigrette was really delicious with the apples and the grilled chicken, but the highlight of the meal was definitely the pumpkin nut muffin. It was soft and spiced very nicely; I was surprised by how well it complimented the salad. The person I went with got the fish and chips. He said it was pretty good but "inauthentic to the U.K." (this is a good thing; it means the fish was seasoned well). Overall, I would certainly recommend the Olde Bryan Inn for a comforting vibe and good food.“

“Went to Ripe Tomato tonight for dinner and was not disappointed. Starting with their bread which I couldn't stop eating. I had the special Pasta Milano and it was so good I wish I hadn't eaten all that bread. The others in our party ordered veal parm and seafood FraDiablo which were OK but nothing special. Our waitress was great and the atmosphere is a little loud but not deafening. If you haven't been give it a try and enjoy. Suggest you make reservations of you go on weekend.“

“Pretty cafe with old time music (my favorite) Very nostalgic interior = and they just added a children's play area for when there's a wait. Staff super friendly but not intrusive. I've never had a bad meal here and try to go every weekend. Their Country Morning Breakfast or California Benedict are my favorite.“

“My wife and I recently decided to try Scallions Restaurant in Saratoga Springs for lunch.A few years ago this restaurant was on our list to try, but when we stopped in for dinner, we stood and waited for several minutes, and no one greeted us when we arrived and were at the podium at the entrance, so we just left and went elsewhere, and hadn’t been back. This time was very, very different, and we regret not going back to give them another try sooner, as the experience was simply “excellent” in every regard. We went for lunch, and it wasn’t too busy. We were greeted immediately upon our arrival by a friendly manager, who asked us where we would prefer to be seated. We chose a small table by the window, and were presented with menus and a list of beverages, while she promptly brought us glasses of water. The menu had several choices that looked appealing, and as we looked it over, we each ordered a glass of wine, which was generously poured and delicious. We noticed that French Onion Soup was the “Soup of the Day”. This is one of our favorites, but we are highly critical, and usually disappointed. This was NOT the case today. More on that in a couple of minutes. . .As the main course, my curly headed companion ordered one of the specials: Salmon on mixed greens that came with chick peas, onions, sundried tomatoes, kalamata olives, and goat cheese, with a house dressing. I opted for Ryan’s Roast Beef, which is one of their paninis served with smoked mozzeralla, roasted red peppers, arugala and horseradish cream on grilled farm bread. The soup arrived and our first impression was positive. It had melted cheese (swiss and gruyere, I believe) baked and dripping off of the sides of the bowl, and under that delectable cover was a deliciously hot steaming mixture of soup broth, tender cooked onions, and croutons that were seasoned to perfection. We agreed at that point that whatever else might happen, this meal was already in the “success”column. It took some effort (which is a good thing with this soup) to get every last piece of cheese off of the bowl when we finished the soup, but it was worth it.Then came the entrees, and our experience continued along its pleasant mid day path:My wife truly enjoyed her Salmon salad, and was contemplating asking for the recipe for the house dressing, which was clearly the invention of the chef.I loved the Roast Beef sandwich, which complemented the lingering taste in my mouth of the French Onion Soup.Being retirees, we took our time with our entrees and wine, and were the only customers remaining in the restaurant when the dessert choices were mentioned. We typically skip dessert, or only peruse the menu to count the calories we would avoid by not ordering, but this time, we opted to split an order of Toll House Cookie Pie. We were again delighted with the taste and portion size of this treat. It was warm, appropriately gooey, and topped with fresh dollop of whipped cream.Throughout our dining experience, our server checked back with us a few times, engaged in pleasantries, and was a delightfully friendly. We’d give Scallions 5 stars out of 5, and would recommend it for lunch. We will be back for more lunches, and for dinner to try that menu out as well.“

“Omg! So good! Charlotte and Arnole are the best! I went with their recommendations-do the same-you won't be disappointed. Charlotte's descriptions were right on. Service was fantastic-very friendly and attentive. They will make you feel well taken care of! Food: wedge salad, pasta special (bread to soak up the sauce), and zeppoles. You know your meal is delicious when the zeppoles are your least favorite. Try it-you won't be disappointed!“

“Amazingly busy, worth being put on their waiting list! “My favorite place for lunch! The veggie goat-cheese sconewich is my go-to, and I love pairing it with a fresh salad and the lemon crepe for dessert. The portions are excellent, and everything is delicious! Such a wide variety of food & drinks for all to enjoy. The place is on the smaller side, so I'd recommend getting there by 11:30 a.m. for lunch to minimize your chances of a wait. But, this place really is worth the wait!“

“Went for Easter brunch with my mother. It was an à la carte brunch which I much prefer since I can no longer get my money's worth at one of the normal brunches (too old to stuff myself to the point of bursting like I could when I was younger since it is like drinking too much). Our waitress Sarah (sorry if misspelled) was great. As a former server myself, please leave your servers, their tips and cash if possible. It's appreciated. Also, the owner came out to see how everything was and I apologize for forgetting her name but a lovely woman. We've been there on several different occasions and haven't been disappointed.“

“I want to start this off with I am a person who loves trying new places and sitting inside to eat, but unfortunately most places are too packed, loud and overwhelming for me to sit inside and eat. However, this place was not only a safe and quiet place, but it's a tucked away little sweet place with a couple galleries to walk around before or after you eat, or if there's a wait, or just in general if you are an art enthusiast as myself. There is more than enough seating available. And even some outdoor seating with a little area to move around if you have kids that need to run around a bit or are high energy.Food wise. I highly recommend the falafel burger and tater tots. They were both super crispy and so flavorful. Not many places can perfect the falafel, however, i think this place has got it figured out! The side portions are on the snaller side. So, I do recommend getting your own rather than getting an order to split, unless you have a more sensitive stomach or fill up quickly, then it is the perfect amount! The workers were very sweet and attentative if we needed anything.Overall left happy and fed, and 100% comfortable the entire time!“

“I ended up at this restaurant as a nearby Turkish place was closed due to snow in April. We were a party of 4 and got seated immediately even though we showed up without a reservation. This placed was packed on Thursday evening. The waitress was courteous and offered us some treats while we decided on our dinner. We got calamari and roasted cauliflower for the starters moving on to salmon, scallops and a vegetarian dish that the waitress suggested. Flavors were on the spot and cooked to perfection. Must visit if you are in Saratoga or Ballston Spa.Vegetarian options: Not much to choose from but you won’t go hungry.“

“Osteria Danny in Saratoga Springs is an absolute gem! Believe the hype. The service is impeccable, with staff that goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. The ambiance is charming, creating a cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere. I expected it to be more formal, but it's quite casual and laid back. Now, let's talk about the food - each dish is a masterpiece, bursting with flavors that elevate the dining experience to new heights. We started with Brussels sprouts and "bada bing" shrimp; plus the complimentary bread, bean salad and perfectly chilled butter. Loved all of it...the sprouts were sweet and savory; the shrimp gigantic and decadent. Main courses were bolognese and spicy crab (served over pasta). Absolutely delicious, huge portions. So much crab on top of homemade pasta with a kick of hot peppers. All pasta is made in- house with one exception (and that one is imported from Italy). But, we stopped and had leftovers put aside so that we could try the desserts: Italian cheesecake and sticky toffee cake (served with salted caramel gelato), accompanied by an espresso. Again-amazing. These people know what they're doing. From the appetizers to the desserts, Osteria Danny consistently delivers a culinary delight that will bring me coming back for more. This restaurant truly captures the essence of casual/fine dining in Saratoga Springs. Can't wait to return!“

“This is a classic diner tucked in the middle of downtown Saratoga! It’s hard to believe it is still here while new restaurants and condos have been going up around it over the years, but it’s great for Saratoga that it has stood the test of time. The breakfast was great and the service was nice and unbelievably fast!We will definitely be back.“

“Been wanting to try out this one for awhile. I waited for a beautiful day to sit outside and everything was delicious! We ordered the small plates because we couldn’t decide and it left room for dessert! Sliders were perfect. Sweet potato fries were SO yummy. And the cherry shrimp we’re still talking about. But the beignets? Amazing!“

“We have dined at Morton’s twice within the last couple months and both experiences were spectacular. Starting with the atmosphere, everyone is so friendly, welcoming, and eager to serve you and greet you. Liz, Adam, Tony, Denise, Kristin, and Angela all made their way over to say hello and show their appreciation for us dining with them. The service was extraordinary. From the drinks, to the appetizers, to our dinners, and dessert… everything came out within good timing with such a great flow despite the overall busyness of the restaurant. We are extremely impressed with Morton’s and their staff and would recommend it for ANY occasion.“

“Our favorite stop for drinks, small plates and aps! We ordered a butter lettuce, goat cheese and fig salad to start. Fresh and delicious. Shared shishito peppers, bacon wrapped dates and Brussels. All exceeded expectations. Our server ( and I'm sorry we don't remember your name server 419) was amazing! He was fun, professional and timed the shared food perfectly. Our drinks were a white sangria and blood orange margarita and they were excellent.“

“Dozer's is like taking a Time Machine back to the early 2000's. This is what Saratoga used to be like - causal neighborhood bar, locals and regulars hanging out with delicious (and fairly priced) food. Their wing special is one of the best deals going and what's even better than the price is the delicious flavor and perfect crisp of the wings. Staff is so friendly and accommodating. Grateful to see places like this still exist in Saratoga. An absolute hidden gem that is worth going back to time and time again.“

“Great bartender, friendly bar and home-brewed beer (even though I'm not really a beer drinker) - great atmosphere.......Buuuut the Wagyu-BLEND beef burger was not very good...... I was looking especially for a juicy burger and the Employee out at Roosevelt Spa & Springs recommended Druthers, so I checked it out, but I was disappointed because it was a thin 2-patty burger, NOT juicy at all, not fresh, (maybe frozen?)......... I even ordered 'the works' with an egg on it, fried onions - it was the wrong choice........ Should have went with the Macaroni & Cheese! That looked good from another customer at the bar......... But the huge warm chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup was excellent! Mmmmmmm good.........Parking: Got lucky out front on street......“

“My mom & I visited Saratoga Springs this weekend and I found in a Google search Carson's. The restaurant is located Malta, NY which was only around 15 mins away. Monday nights are trivia nights but if you're looking to participate, make sure you have a charged device because that's how they keep score of points. The view is amazingggg from where the tavern lies. The food and drinks were also exceptional! We had the tuxedo shrimp to start and a Caesar salad & the mac and cheese which were both delicious. They also had fire pits which we took advantage of before leaving. Definitely would recommend if you are in the area!“

“I love this restaurant, staff was great. We went for their St. Patrick's Day menu, sheppards pie is my favorite meal hands down but it was soooooo salty I couldn't eat it. I was sad and disappointed. My husband ordered off the regular menu because they were out of the special he wanted and said it was pretty good and my daughters French onion soup was great. I would give it another chance.“

“Our group of 4 made a last-minute reservation here for dinner for restuarant week, and we were so happy we did! While we did order 4 meals off of the $35 (3-course) menu, because their regular menu looked so good, we decided to add a couple of extra appetizers. Everything was fantastic. From the restaurant week menu, we enjoyed the flank steak and chicken piccata entrees, which were both delicious! Perfectly cooked, extremely flavorful. From their regular menu, we ordered medium wings and their Chicago Style Italian Beef Egg Rolls, both of which were a huge hit . The service was prompt, friendly, and they geninely seemed happy we were there. This was our first visit, and most certainly will not be our last. Highly recommend.“

“My family and I just moved to Saratoga and after a long day of moving we wanted to get some grub. We stumbled across this place and I went in to order. This being my first time I didn't know the menu and I was ordering for five people. The girl at the front Izzy made it so easy for me asking me what each member of my family was interested in and helped me make a decision. If I had cash on me I would've tipped her a hundred bucks. Thanks Izzy for making my experience great, we will definitely be back soon.“

“An absolute gem of a place! I got the Shrimps & Scallops Marinara and it was easily one of the best I've ever had. A touch spicy but not overpowering. The linguine soaked up the sauce perfectly. I ate all the scallops and knew I had to take the rest home because it was a huge portion. Lightly heated the next day with the shrimp and it was still perfection! Only thing is, my salad was drenched in the dressing. IMO next time def dressing on the side. The blue cheese in the house dressing was delicious. We drove almost an hour and would def do it again! Btw the fresh bread with herbs butter was fresh and delicious!“

After moving away 12 years ago we were visiting friends in the area this past weekend and had the opportunity to have dinner here. “Came to see some friends play and curious about the food...YUM!!!! I had drinks, apps, mains and desserts and coffee. There was only one item I didn't care for and that was completely a matter of personal preference. EVERYTHING else was really satisfying and well-executed and worth the experience. Proteins were well cooked and the seasoning was great. I prefer a crustier bread but I sooooo appreciated being asked if we wanted bread so it wouldn't sit and go to waste if our table wasn't interested. That kind of clarity and thoughtful communication from a server is awesome. You could tell it was a busy night for her and yet it didn't show on her face, in her demeanor or affect the service of our or surrounding tables. Graciousness from start to finish. She was even trying to minimize her movements that might obscure the sightline of tables to the band...wow! That's serious awareness and consideration of others and just wow service, top notch!Over an hour to get to from our home base but I'd go again with or without a band I know playing. Very delicious and thoughtfully sourced dishes for the discerning omnivore. Beautiful atmosphere and exceptional server. Cozy and quaint but not crowded in an uncomfortable way. Can't wait to see what outside hanging is like.Must go...!Thanks for the lovely evening. so yum.“

“Went here during restaurant week. They had great 3 course specials 25$, 35$, and 45$. Ordered a Pineapple Margarita and a Rum and Coke which were both nicely done. Spicy Rigatoni and Chicken Marsala with Risotto instead of pasta for entrees which were both delicious. But the best course was Jacob's Chowder as an appetizer. Hot, creamy, and full of seafood it was the best chowder I've ever had. Chocolate cake with a chocolate mousse layer ended it nicely. This place is worth visiting without restaurant week.Parking: If you can't find a spot on the street, there's a paid parking garage right across from the restaurant.“

“When every place we went to had a 45 minute wait, we stopped into our local wine bar and had two excellent meals tonight; sea bass and tenderloin, done spectacularly! Don’t forget about this little gem of a dinning spot when you’re out in Saratoga Springs!“
“New to the area and just exploring the Beekman Street area for the first time when we came across The Barrelhouse. We were greeted warmly by the bartender, Scott. There was a bluegrass band playing and the vibe of the patrons there was pleasant and welcoming. The crowd was mixed in age range and reminds me of a few of my favorite townie haunts back home. The kinda places where you can come as you are, nothing fancy, just laid back. We were chatting with another patron when we met the owner, Charles. He gave us a few tips about the area and was very friendly. I cannot speak to the food as we did not eat there but our bartender was attentive and service was quick. The place is smaller but to me that gives it a more homey vibe. There is a nice outdoor patio area that it's probably very enjoyable during patio season. Prices for drinks were reasonable in my opinion. We had an enjoyable time and will go back again. This place might not be everyone's vibe but it's definitely mine.“
