“I’ve been to many restaurants, but Home Frite truly stands out. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with great energy and outstanding hospitality. The place is spotless, the atmosphere is cozy, and everything feels thoughtfully managed.

The Nashville Loaded Fries are an absolute must try perfectly crispy, generously loaded, and bursting with flavor. And the cheeseburgers? Easily one of the best I’ve had. Fresh ingredients, juicy patties, soft buns, and every bite is packed with quality.

A special appreciation goes to Anshrah at the front desk. She is the kind of person every restaurant hopes to have as the first face customers see. Her warm smile, professionalism, and genuine kindness make every guest feel welcomed and valued. She goes above and beyond to ensure a smooth and pleasant experience, and her positive attitude truly reflects the high standards of Home Frite.

It’s rare to find a place that excels in both food and customer service, but Home Frite has mastered both. “My husband and I were at Broken Bow. I ordered at Ran & Gui's kitchen the last minute. So, I ordered whatever they had left which was the catfish bits, BBQ chicken wings, and chicken tenders. I have had catfish in the past which was flavorless. However, Ran & Gui's catfish bites was so flavorful that I didn't need the tartar sauce to enjoy them. My husband loved their chicken tenders and he mostly ate them without the honey mustard sauce. As far as the BBQ chicken wings, they were like regular BBQ chicken wings. We will definitely come back for the catfish and chicken tenders 😊.“

“I finally came here after years of hearing about this place and trying many different options from places in New Rochelle all the way to Nyack. Although the atmosphere is minimal the food is delicious and plentiful. I felt as if I was picking up plates of soul food from my church ladies with the gospel music playing which I did not mind.

I ordered three dinners we tried the fried chicken, collards, yams and one order of mac and cheese that was a mistake we should have gotten more and order of peach cobbler. As my daughter described it she felt like eating this food was like getting a hug from a grandma! None of the food is overly seasoned which my husband and I prefer but seems to be the common mistake a lot of soul food locations are making.

There is a detour near the location which makes parking a little bit of a challenge however, that will not stop me from returning.“

“I was very impressed, moonlighting in the bartender night life for the last 20 years. I normally don’t go out to bars. My sister and myself were down at Lenox hospital for our Dads surgery. One of the desk staff at Franklin Hotel recommended Penrose! The staff, manager and bartender were so friendly. I have to say I was very happy. “We went to the Applebee's in New Rochelle today. We were met by Warren who is one of the managers. He was friendly and took us to our table. We explained about a problem that we had at Applebee's at 815 Hutchinson River Parkway at the beginning of July. He apologized and said that the incident would not happen here. He then introduced us to Mariama who was our waitress. She introduced herself to us and was very friendly and efficient. She took our orders and everything came out perfectly. She stayed attentive the entire time. When it came time for the check Warren brought it and comped the entire meal and drinks. We told him that it wasn't necessary, but he insisted. We will definitely return to this establishment often“

The host was pleasant, offered us cornbread and water while we waited. Our server was lack luster, she was so busy being busy she completely missed the mark at every opportunity.
