“Perfect place for a top notch meal! Wonderful service too! Our waiter was very informative and taught us about the various items on the menu we had questions about. Highlights were duck, Peking style, mushroom dumplings, shrimp rice noodle rolls, and the rabbit coconut pudding. Note: no rabbits were harmed in the making of the dessert!“

“Authentic Cantonese cuisine. I was brought up in Guangzhou and these dishes here are the same delicious as the ones I had back in Guangzhou.“

“I came here with a foodie friend for dinner. We both really enjoyed the food, the service was excellent and friendly. The atmosphere of the restaurant definitely took me back to Hong Kong - like I was in a new concept restaurant in the famous area of LKF.
Highlights / Our favorite dishes:
- Black Pepper Steak: the sauce was delicious and it came with broccoli rabe, which is a surprising and enjoyable twist (instead of Chinese broccoli). Love that.
- Crunchy Vegetable Fried rice: yes it stayed crispy and crunchy throughout our entire meal and with all our talking. The fried rice was flavorful and not oily. This is the best vegetarian fried rice I've had in NYC.
- H French Toast: This was a perfect dessert ending to our meal. Good for sharing. It is slightly different from traditional Hong Kong french toast which is completely deep fried. This one from Cha Cha Tang is fried crispy on the outside, therefore not as heavy (thankfully since we ate so much for dinner). And I love the ube cream inside!!
Highly recommend!!“

“Got the brand sampler. A meal for $19.60.
Here’s what I thought of each item
Har gow / shrimp siu mai - 3/5, hard to get wrong, just didn’t love it, even with the soy sauce.
Chicken siu mai - 5/5, was my favorite
Sticky rice wrap - 1/5, mushroom and sticky rice was not my favorite
BBQ pork bun - 1/5, wasn’t my thing
Crispy shrimp roll - 4/5, pretty good“

“Long line because we are all basic tourists 😅 Left line cash only and right line you order on tablet and pay with card. You are welcome! The baked pork bun and pineapple pork buns were delicious. Sweet and salty soft and crunchy simultaneously. Your mouth will be pleasantly confused. Must try!“

“Din Tai Fung has been a long-time favorite of mine, and I’ve visited their locations across Asia more times than I can count. So, I was really looking forward to the opening of this NYC location. It took some time, but as soon as I walked in, I could see why. This isn’t like the more casual branches I’m used to – they’ve gone all out, creating a stunning space that’s perfect for a special night out. Though it’s a large venue, it feels intimate, and the table arrangement makes conversations easy. Service was excellent; our waiter was excited to introduce us to the restaurant and stayed attentive throughout the meal.
Now, the food! We tried two varieties of their signature xiaolongbao – the traditional pork and the pork and crab. Both were superb and just as good as what you’d find in Asia. The paper-thin wrappers are some of the best I’ve had outside of the Pacific, with great flavor and delicious soup inside. The pork chop fried rice was also outstanding – tender, juicy pork served over perfectly cooked fried rice. We also enjoyed the seaweed and tofu salad, which was a great starter. I did miss the wild vegetable tofu and sesame oil salad I’ve had in Asia, but I imagine it might be due to ingredient availability here. Prices are a bit higher than their Asian branches, but for me, the atmosphere and quality were worth it. I’ll definitely be back.
Note: Unlike other locations, this one is reservation-only.“

“Would give 3.5 stars. The beef lo mein was good. The chicken and broccoli was good, but it didn’t taste like what I expected. The scallion pancakes I would absolutely not order again. There were hardly any scallions and the pancakes had a styrofoam like texture which was super off putting.“

“Went there with a group of 6 that included 2 toddlers and newborn. Table was more than spacious enough for us.
Food was fantastic. Duck bao was flavorful. Mushroom yee mein was also flavorful and a fantastic chewy bounce. The Walnut shrimp was seasoned differently than I’ve had at other locations, making it unique. Shrimp were massive. Beers were refreshing. Will be returning soon!
Kid-friendliness: Table was big enough to fit our children, stroller and 3 adults. More than enough space. It was also during the week. The restaurant was not overwhelmingly busy.“

“We come here often for special occasions with both family and friends, usually for dinner and or banquets. One of the few remaining "tea houses" in NYC Chinatown offering the usual traditional dim sum. Hectic and noisy but if you want the real dim sum experience, you get it here. Ladies still push the carts with the delicious "touch your heart" (dim sum) snacks.“

“Absolutely my favorite restaurant now! Hubby and I have been three times and each time has been amazing! The decor and artwork inside is beautiful and the food is incredibly delicious! Definitely try the "Kung Pao Shrimp" - your taste buds will go wild! and the "Crispy Skin Chicken"...oh my God, the best! Also try their cocktail called "West Lake Potion" - totally different than any other cocktail with an interestingly good taste ??. On our last visit, we were served complimentary dishes: Vegetable Spring Rolls and I believe some type of Zucchini with a mouth-watering glaze! Our waitress Estefanie (sorry if I misspelled) has been our waitress each time and she's super nice along with all the other staff. Bathrooms are clean and each stall has its own private door with a sink inside. Surprisingly, we never had a problem finding parking. Five stars all the way!“

“😍My very first time here. I was served by Jason, food captain. I guess I was spoiled by his hospitality because I tell you, WHEN I return, if I not being served by him, I'm not going. Every now and again you come across a server who truly enjoys making people fell comfortable, that's Jason, in a nutshell. The food was extraordinary, complimented by spectacular recommendations and hospitality!!!!“

“I can say that is alternative to Golden Unicorn, just down the same street end of the block. Food is really good and could be better, and service is at best in a very busy place. The Price is very reasonable and overall it’s good x2. Will come again with pics to prove.“

“Classic Chinese restaurant, which means it's perfect! Brightly lit, very clean, fast seating and service. The food is prepared quickly and served steaming hot or still sizzling. The dishes are really fresh, well prepared and taste great. Also, the serving portions are gigantic - I'll be eating leftovers for days! Highly recommend for the lunch special, or dinner out. You just gotta go!
Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetable and tofu dished“

“Food was good. Sweet and sour chicken: chicken was cooked well and seemed like better quality than other places. Sauce flavor was not amazing. Everything else was pretty good and authentic Hong Kong dim sum. Staff look professional and you can tell they work hard. I have to be back on the weekend to try the baked pork buns! “

“I can see why this dim sum spot is so popular. The food is incredibly flavorful, with a great variety of dishes that truly stand out. The quality is definitely noticeable, and you can taste the care and attention to detail in every bite. That said, the price is definitely on the higher side compared to other dim sum places in the city. But, given that it has a Michelin star, I guess you’re paying for that elevated experience. Still, it’s worth trying if you’re in the mood for something special! Just be prepared to pay a bit more.“

“Cute little spot for dim sum! My husband and I ate here on our babymoon. Loved the pork buns and pork soup dumplings. Service was fast and courteous. The atmosphere was nice too they had interesting music playing lots of 70s and 80s rock and roll covers but real mellow versions.“

“Found this place by chance after visiting sights in the area, and so glad we did. Had the pork soup dumplings and scallion pancakes -
The pancakes were delicious, crispy, and tender, but the soup dumplings were a revelation to me -
so delicious! Really wish we’d been hungry enough to try more dishes, but we were just having a quick early dinner before going back to our hotel to recharge a bit after a long day on our feet. This really hit the spot in terms of quick, delicious comfort food.
The service was super polite, friendly, and helpful; both servers were attentive and professional, and willing to explain what items were. We were also able charge our cellphones here, as the server kindly helped us find one of the several tables with power outlets next to them.
We were only visiting for a few days, but would definitely go back again and try more - great experience and all for a super reasonable price!“

“While in Chinatown, we found this small, charming restaurant with excellent ratings, so we decided to give it a try. The place was packed, and although we wanted a booth, we couldn’t sit there since we were only two people. The service wasn’t the friendliest, possibly due to a language barrier, but the food made up for it.
I’m not usually a fan of Chinese food, but my boyfriend is, and I’m glad we stayed—the food was delicious! The menu had photos and numbered items, making it easy to order. I’ve included photos of what we tried. Highly recommended if you’re in Chinatown!“
