“loved the Pistachio cake from Luigi’s in Carmel so much that I ordered one for my mother’s 96th birthday. I was in Florida and couldn’t partake but my sister picked it up in Carmel and my mom, sister and family were able to enjoy it. There were 7 people at dinner and due to the size and height of the cake, you can see they barely made a dent (however it was completely gone within 2 days). Everyone was absolutely crazy about it and everyone sent me pictures and called to thank me. It’s a shame to even call it a cake because you naturally think of something you buy in a bakery. This is a whole different world. This cake is exquisite. The flavor is outstanding, it is extremely moist, it has a ton of filling and frosting but not that sickeningly sweet kind – this is all top notch ingredients and completely unique. I felt awful because I know I didn’t give Luigi’s much notice and I know his wife worked 14 hours the previous day baking. But I didn’t feel so guilty that it stopped me from ordering it and they were so gracious about helping me. As you can see in the pictures, the attention to detail, the edible flowers, the beauty of the cake made it a birthday present in and of itself. I just cannot thank Luigi and his awesome wife enough for helping to make my mom’s 96th birthday special.“

“My wife and I recently found this place about a year ago. Have gone 4 times and have had nothing but exceptional service and food. I sort of want to keep this place a hidden gem. They recommend reservations, but walking in should be no issue for a small party of 2-4. However, every time I make a reservation, we are greeted and seated immediately with our table prepared and water already served, which is a nice touch. Not many restaurants actually prepare the table for the reservation that was made previously.Each time we have had the same waiter which has been great. He is always accommodating and polite and attentive. Other staff have also been friendly and kind.Soft butter is always served to go with the delicious bread. The fried calamari is great. The chicken parm is good. My favorite has been the NY Strip with Gorgonzola cheese melted on top. Cooked perfect each time. The cheese gives it a great flavor that just works well together. Had it twice and my wife also had it and it’s delicious each time. And for dessert the tartufo is probably the best I’ve had. Highly recommend.We have decided to make this a place for special occasions such as birthdays or anniversary’s. It’s a place that we truly enjoy and look forward to coming to for years to come. Highly suggest it. Prices are very reasonable. Much more expensive places with mediocre food. This place is worth every penny.“

“Enjoyed a wonderful dinner with my sister, we started with steamed mussels in red sauce & divine bread. We ordered their Sunday sauce with Meatball,sausage,spare rib, bracelets on rigatoni W/a dollop of Ricotta cheese. Couldn’t finish all of it took the rest home. It was excellent!! served with crispy garlic bread. No room for desert. Service was excellent. Can’t wait to go back.“

“Scott and his team catered our wedding this September. If we could provide more than 5 stars, we would! He was more than accommodating and made this process stress-free. We gave him ideas about what kind of food/style we were hoping for and he ran with it. We were not limited to a pre-created catering menu and were told that he and his team could make "anything we want". He provided recommendations from our reception space, to service style, and menu to even linens. We are still getting comments from our guests raving about the food and service from our wedding. Scott and his team exceeded our expectations and then some. Highly recommend!“

“The best, my favorite, pizza joint on Mill Plain Rd, on the Westside, in Danbury! The crust is thin, has that slight crunch, folds easily to cradle the abundance of toppings. Oh, and the meat lover's version, wow! Full-size toppings (hubby & son raved about it)....and my fave, the veggie...spinach, broccoli, mushrooms, garlic, peppers, onions -LOADED & DELICIOUS! “Mezzaluna restaurant is a great place to visit. I live in South Carolina and when my wife and I travel to NY we always visit Mezzaluna several times a week. The food and service is always excellent as is our usual waiter, Nick. He is great at his job, very friendly, observant, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The owner who we recently spoke with on the phone is very friendly and makes you feel welcome and special. If you are looking for a great place to dine in I highly recommend Mezzaluna Restaurant“

“I can not say enough good things about Mike and Joe's! The staff is friendly and efficient, they learn their customers and always greet you warmly! They are quick, often delivering faster than expected and the food is always great! If something is wrong they are happy and quick about making it right and they treat their customers so well and generously! I order delivery often and recently ordered catering last minute! Not only were they on time , the food was DELICIOUS, and they gave a sweet something extra! Mike and Joe's always goes the extra mile they are my favourite pizza place now and always! And is light on the salt, unlike the salt bombs at the most popular Italian restaurant nearby. The food is positively delicious. And their family meals are both delicious and a bargain. We had a last minute family get together, and ordered 5 family meals. It was a huge amount of food, and they had the entire order ready in 30 minutes. On a Saturday night!!!! We were certain that we would have ample leftovers, at least 1/3. But it was all devoured! Because everyone loved the food.
