“loved the Pistachio cake from Luigi’s in Carmel so much that I ordered one for my mother’s 96th birthday. I was in Florida and couldn’t partake but my sister picked it up in Carmel and my mom, sister and family were able to enjoy it. There were 7 people at dinner and due to the size and height of the cake, you can see they barely made a dent (however it was completely gone within 2 days). Everyone was absolutely crazy about it and everyone sent me pictures and called to thank me. It’s a shame to even call it a cake because you naturally think of something you buy in a bakery. This is a whole different world. This cake is exquisite. The flavor is outstanding, it is extremely moist, it has a ton of filling and frosting but not that sickeningly sweet kind – this is all top notch ingredients and completely unique. I felt awful because I know I didn’t give Luigi’s much notice and I know his wife worked 14 hours the previous day baking. But I didn’t feel so guilty that it stopped me from ordering it and they were so gracious about helping me. As you can see in the pictures, the attention to detail, the edible flowers, the beauty of the cake made it a birthday present in and of itself. I just cannot thank Luigi and his awesome wife enough for helping to make my mom’s 96th birthday special.“

“What a treasure! Sightseeing over the weekend and stumbled upon this gem. Luckily we arrived around 5:30. We were the only ones there - for about 5 minutes. Within 30 minutes the place was packed! The menu had a lot to offer and it all looked delicious. We had the calamari to start and it was fresh and tender. For our main, I had the veal fungi and I was so happy to see lots of fresh mushrooms! My spouse had the spicy hot scallops and he said they were amazing. Our waiter was very attentive even though the place was completely full. It was fun to see so many of the locals meeting up with their friends. The hostess recognized we weren’t locals and gave us some great ideas for places to visit while in the area. Either show up early or get a reservation. You won’t be sorry.“

“Enjoyed a wonderful dinner with my sister, we started with steamed mussels in red sauce & divine bread. We ordered their Sunday sauce with Meatball,sausage,spare rib, bracelets on rigatoni W/a dollop of Ricotta cheese. Couldn’t finish all of it took the rest home. It was excellent!! served with crispy garlic bread. No room for desert. Service was excellent. Can’t wait to go back.“

“I am an eggplant snob! I order it every Italian restaurant I attend. I have only enjoyed it at one other restaurant, Coppollas in Hyde Park until Raymees. The owner said I was going to love it and boy was he right!!!! It was exactly like I love it!! It was wet, lots of sauce and cheese and not loaded with bread crumbs. BUT I was most impressed by the very large portion and side of salad, garlic knots and pasta! I highly recommend you try Raymees! I doubt you will be disappointed!!!! I would give 10 ⭐️“

“Pizza to go only. You can't have pizza in the dining room. Pizza is outstanding. Too bad we can't have it there along with the rest of the menu. It seems like it's about to close due to the lack of menus available and the fact that the menu was poorly stapled. Best pizza !“

The sauce is very flavorful, perhaps a little on the sweet side.
Generous selection of fresh, quality toppings.
The cheese was perfect without the too often unwelcome excessive grease.
Skip new haven brand lines and hype. This mom and pop out shines!

“So we went for dine-in service on Thursday and was helped by a delightful waitress. I never caught her name though. She was great with menu recommendations and made our guest feel very much at home with her attention and jokes. It was such a great experience - we had pizza for take-out on Friday. My mother, who is full Italian, was in awe of the items they had—it brought back memories of her childhood. I ordered a chicken cutlet sandwich, and it was fantastic—one of the best I've ever had. “Always my go to place!! But it’s now sold to a different owner and they are absolutely horrible and the food is gross!!! I would not even go to get a slice of pizza!!!! PS:The New owner thinks he a GOD in the kitchen!!! to add a update.....it takes them hours to cook anything I mean anything! we order 2 things of chicken fingers and fries and it took them over a hour!!! “Mezzaluna restaurant is a great place to visit. I live in South Carolina and when my wife and I travel to NY we always visit Mezzaluna several times a week. The food and service is always excellent as is our usual waiter, Nick. He is great at his job, very friendly, observant, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The owner who we recently spoke with on the phone is very friendly and makes you feel welcome and special. If you are looking for a great place to dine in I highly recommend Mezzaluna Restaurant“

“I can not say enough good things about Mike and Joe's! The staff is friendly and efficient, they learn their customers and always greet you warmly! They are quick, often delivering faster than expected and the food is always great! If something is wrong they are happy and quick about making it right and they treat their customers so well and generously! I order delivery often and recently ordered catering last minute! “While traveling from Massachusetts to Texas, we stopped off the highway completely famished and discovered La Strada. What an incredible surprise! The pizza was absolutely amazing—crispy crust, flavorful sauce, and perfectly balanced toppings. Honestly, it was one of the best slices I’ve ever had. Finding a gem like this right off the exit made our road trip even better. Highly recommend stopping here if you’re anywhere nearby!“

“This is a very nice pizza place, I live down the road and can walk there. The people working there are nice, respectful and are willing to help out their customers. (I was even offered a ride home by the delivery driver when it was raining the other day) The food is delicious and made right, and I get pizza here a lot. Not only are they a pizza place, but they're your typical gas station store where you can get chips, soda, beer and ice cream. They also have a deli.

The only complaint I have is the prices, a large plain pie costs ~$30.00 and the chips are ~$2.70 for a small bag and ~$5.30 for a large.

Still a very nice store and I hope to work there!“
