Lots of push upselling drinks on the drinks, and they brought bottle water we had to pay for despite asking for tap 3 times. Wonderful wine and cocktails menu. Overall I would recommend for special occasions.“

“The food here is excellent! I love when a chef has seasonal menus. We arrived the first night of their ‘Spring menu” and it was amazing. I had the crab cake appetizer and the scallops for my entree. The favorite thing I tried all night was the fried artichoke and calamari dish - omg a must try! My aunt had the cod for her entree which she loved. The portions are on the bigger side. The hostess, the staff, and Chef were all so friendly and welcoming!“

“We have been coming here for years, and Jimmy and Andy always treat us like family! We drive from Orange County and are never disappointed. The sushi is amazing, among my favorites are the Mango Tango roll, Tiger roll, Tri Color roll and Tuna Amazing! The appetizers are small enough portions to try everything without waste!! It’s All You Can Eat, so easy to order more of what you like! But perfect sized appetizers so you don’t fill up before the sushi arrives! The sushi is always fresh and plentiful and the staff’s attention to details is unmatched. When the owners truly care about their customers, it shows and is appreciated! I have sent at least 20 friends to their restaurant who are now loyal customers on their own!! Thank you AJ’s for going above and beyond!“

“The food was amazing. I had the grouper fish with smoked tomatoes, parmesean risotto and broccoli. I drink a pineapple martini made with fresh pineapple juice garnished with fresh pineapple. The wait staff was attentive and not annoying, allowing my husband and I to converse and enjoy the meal.“

“This will always be my favorite Thai restaurant. There is very limited seating and no bathroom, but the food is so good. I’d probably recommend getting delivery/take out for these reason - definitely don’t come with a BIG party because it’s so small inside.The mango sticky rice is one of the best desserts I’ve ever had and all of the dishes were great. My only suggestion is that the noodle dishes had a lot of meat, I would’ve preferred a more even ratio and noodles and meat. But the food here is amazing!“

“We went for the Flamenco show and received a call that we should change our reservation to earlier so we were eating during the show. Great advice! Our server was not the best, but the food and the show made that a minor issue. It was a Prix Fixe dinner, but had a wide range of selections for Appetizers, Entree and Dessert. The food was delicious. The bright & lemony seafood salad with avocado and Veal Madrid were perfection. The Flamenco show was amazing. The performers were true professionals and engaged the audience. “Cool new spot in town! I was reluctant to try this place out but I decided to give it a try after seeing a nice crowd in there. It turns out there is a new owner, he just kept the name of the place the same. A mistake in my opinion but at least he did one good thing. He hired a great bartender named I know from Barrel and Brew. This guy can make a great drink and he is so personable. He interacts well with guests and designed a great menu of drinks. I enjoyed a couple of delicious margaritas while I was there. They also had a DJ named Bronson playing some great music. I look forward to seeing how this place does because I've always said this spot would make a great bar because of the nice patio outside. It would make a great hangout for the summer. I can't really comment on the food because I only tried an order of wings but they were good. The ambience though gave me reason to believe this place could make it at this spot.“

“Bardonia Oriental is consistently our favorite go-to place for Chinese food. The chicken is most often quite delicious and tender, regardless of the dish that it's placed with. I'm most often preferred chicken with broccoli however I had chicken with Chinese vegetables last night and found it to be absolutely scrumptious! The beef with snow peas is delicious as well. One of our dear friends is Chinese and she refuses to eat Chinese food anywhere but there if that's any indication of the quality of their food. The egg rolls can be hit or miss at times having so much grease they're impossible to consume and other times being so delicious I would eat multiples if I had them! There thick Chinese noodles are rarely greasy and always delicious especially with duck sauce. We prefer the mustard that comes in a container to the hot sauce in a package. I would not recommend requesting sauce on the side as I have done a times because somehow the chicken and broccoli become overdone. Overall, as I've said there isn't any other Chinese restaurant in Rockland County that has earned my respect and is much repeat business as Bardonia Oriental. I forgot to mention how much we enjoyed the crab with cream cheese appetizer! They are very good at following specific orders so if you like your vegetables al dente to preserve the nutrients and simply let them know how long you would like to cook it the vegetables. Otherwise the broccoli tends to be somewhat soggy. With a little bit of accommodation and finagling and won't improved consistency for the egg rolls, I would delightfully add the extra star all the way! Happy eating!Vegetarian options: Please read my review regarding the cooking of the vegetables. If you would like your vegetables to preserve maximum nutritional value, I would recommend requesting them to be a little hard. And definitely not mushy.“

“La laterna is our new absolute favorite, we are so glad we could find OUR spot, anything you eat there is amazing. “Came in last week to try Haitian food for the first time. A coworker from Haiti recommended this restaurant specifically.I got the oxtail stew and it was amazing. Tender meat in a flavorful sauce. And it comes with a weeks worth of delicious rice and beans, Plantains and baked mac to boot.Stopped in today for the fried pork and it was the best food I've had in a long time. Love the spicy pikliz!The restaurant itself is small with a few tables but has an extremely warm welcoming feel. Staff are some of the friendliest people I've ever seen.“
