“AWESOME KOREAN RESTAURANT IN LONG ISLAND: I’m not a foodie and I don’t think I’ve ever posted about restaurants (but I am Korean) - I have to make an exception for this place. Yes, this restaurant is on Long Island, but the Korean food EXCELLENT (better than lots of places in Flushing) and service is OUTSTANDING. Every dish we’ve tried so far (짜장면, 순두부찌개, 육개장, 제육덮밥) has been so amazing, delicious, and authentic (especially the spices!!!). If you’re ever in the area, please stop in and eat here. It’s crazy awesome! Thanks to my friend for encouraging me to try at a Korean restaurant that is not in Queens. “The staff and the food was amazing! My family and I went to celebrate my birthday. The host Mia and Elena was delightful and our server Minerva was gracious and accommodating. The manager Michael then gave us the birthday special which was the song and celebration along with a comped meal for me (with ID). Amazing!“

I came with a lot of family and they did a great job taking the orders and giving us an insight about what the food is. “Superfood is the number one choice for food in my neighborhood. Everything from the ordering process to picking up the food is usually seamless. The food is fresh and tastes very good consistently every time. To top it off, the people working there are probably some of the friendliest people I have ever met.

“Ordered takeout from Don Chicken on Northern Blvd and went for the Spicy Soy Garlic Chicken and it did not disappoint. The pieces were pretty big, juicy inside, and had that trademark Korean fried chicken crunch: thin, shatter-crispy, never greasy. The soy garlic glaze was spot on savory, garlicky, with just enough kick to keep me reaching for another bite.

I also tried the Sweet & Spicy flavor not bad at all, just leaned sweeter than what I usually like.

What I really appreciate is how Korean fried chicken is different from the fried chicken most of us grew up with. Instead of a thick, heavy batter, it’s double-fried a method that actually came about in Korea in the 1960s and 70s when fried chicken started getting popular alongside beer (“chimaek,” short for chicken + maekju/beer, is now a whole culture). That double fry gives you the crunch without the grease, and the sauces like this soy garlic add layered flavor instead of just salt and breading.

For takeout, it traveled well too the chicken stayed crisp even by the time I got home, which tells you they’re doing it right. Generous portions, bold flavor, and that authentic K-fried crispness make the spicy soy garlic the clear winner for me.“

The bulgogi kimbap was really juicy and practically melts in your mouth. The pricing was really fair and the total was about 40 bucks. The food came out fast and it was really fresh.“

“What a great culinary treat to try Korean kimchi from pickles, radishes, cabbage, carrots, onions, scallions, etc. Very refreshing vegetarian options served with wild rice and hot tea. Great probiotic and prebiotic food options to help make digestion easy and light.
For Pescatarians, they have very delicious fried fish like mackerel that even my kids enjoyed with kimchi once I took the fishbones out of the fish.

“My sister is visiting from Taiwan, and she loves trying Korean food. Today, after attending the 47th Annual Thunderbird American Indian Powwow, we stopped by Biwon Korean BBQ, which was nearby, and it turned out to be an amazing experience.

The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We ordered two dishes—pork and chicken—and both were absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked.

One of the highlights of our meal was the generous variety of complimentary side dishes. There were so many to choose from, and every one of them was delicious.

“This is more high end version and it’s still good. The shrimp katsu is extremely crispy as well. Although it is good but I still prefer the authentic 돼지국밥. They basically prepared everything so once u placed ur order the food will come to you within minutes. I can finish the meal within half hour from sit down to leave. Service is average since u don’t really need to interact much basically except placing order. Atmosphere and seatings are comfortable.“

“This place really hits the spot for some comforting, delicious, satisfying noodle and rice dishes. Cold noodles were chewy and perfectly al dente - tempura on top was crispy and delicious on its own. Soondubu is seasoned well and their mild spice was perfect for my sensitive stomach and liked that each soup came with a side of grilled meats. We also had the pork dumplings which complemented well all the different flavors. Service was quick and friendly.“

I honestly couldn’t believe it — authentic Korean-style Tonkatsu right here in America! The soup that comes with it is so flavorful and comforting, and the cutlet itself is sliced perfectly, making it so easy to eat. I also love how generous they are with the sauce — it really makes the whole meal feel abundant and satisfying without feeling too heavy or greasy. It actually feels like a wholesome, healthy meal!

The only tiny note — having not eaten it in about five years, it did seem just a touch thinner than I remembered. But honestly? Still absolutely delicious. Sometimes the nostalgia makes things taste even better. 😄

“We’ve been to Rolly Kimbab in Bayside so many times, and we always end up getting their combo boxes. The combos are pretty reliable — nothing fancy, nothing “wow,” but definitely not bad. It’s just good, simple food that fills you up.

The sweet and sour pork was crispy but there wasn't too much meat inside. The waitresses also kept confusing the orders as they were serving. Overall, the price was a little expensive but the experience wasn't too bad.“

“Our family has been to Chilsung few times. For father’s day, we ordered the Prime Rib Eye Steak (Kot Deung Shim), Pork Belly (Samgyeopsal). The server cooks the meat for you. We also ordered stew Kimchi Jjigae, and the kids’ favorite,topokki (mild spicy).. They also have a wide variety of side dishes which are filling on their own, and they provide complimentary steamed egg and soup.
Service can be a little slow during busy days but we are lucky to have an accommodating server.

It's on the slightly pricier side, but the quality of meat and food , plus the thoughtful extras like probiotic drinks for the kids and ginseng drinks for the adults make it a good dinner experience“
