“Completely surprised and intrigued with the menu. This is NOT a Mexican food restaurant as the name might fool you. The shrimp taco wrapped in seaweed paper was so fresh tasting,crunchy and absolutely delish. Fried rice served in your own skillet and you mix the egg in was the best! The smores waffle with homemade custard ice-cream was to die for. Bartender Robbie is a pro mixologist with really new style drinks. This place was a treat and I cant wait to go back. Also the service was perfect!“

Although it’s a seafood restaurant, they offer a variety of delicious Korean dishes. Our favorites are 김치찌개, 돈까스, and 한치회무침—which almost tastes like 물회, just without the soup. “I visited this spot for the first time yesterday evening. We had a variety of Korean foods (radish kimchi, japchae, dried pollack, spring rolls) and all of them were very good. It was a total lifesaver as both my wife and I are new parents, which makes cooking difficult. I plan on coming here again and would not hesitate to recommend the store.“

I got the beef ramen, which usually comes with one egg, but I added an extra just in case. Honestly, one probably would have been enough. “The jjajangmyun here is better than a few places in NJ! My favorite though is the shrimp kanpoongi! It’s half the price and double the flavor with the same amount of shrimp compared to most restaurants. Went twice this week to order it. YUM!! The shrimp fried rice is on point too. Fried chicken, Ddokbokki, and Ramyun make the perfect combination for a great meal. The food came out hot and fresh, and every bite was delicious.

Fresh, hot, with the perfect amount of spice and the wings are bigger than what you'd get at a chain fried chicken restaurant. I also upgraded my fries to the truffle parmesean - truffle isnt as outstanding of a flavor but the parm was pretty good. The service is also so nice! “Authetic korean restaurant serving some good Tang Soo Yook! Very nicely fried and portion is generous! we also tried their seafood jjampong and it was good. I bet the heat is even perfect during colder weathers! I would love to come back and try their jajang. so hopefully soon.

“I've glanced at this in-store area in the past while shopping at H-Mart but actually ate there for the first time yesterday. I now understand why it's always packed and was very lucky to have gotten a table. There are a few different stations, Japanese, Chinese, Korean and plenty of choices, some familiar from ordering in Chinese and others most of us have never even heard of. Everything is cooked to order. You order and pay, get a ticket, and they call your number when it's ready. It's a self-serve method, you pick up your tray and return it when done. We had our food within 10 minutes and now I get it. Plates and bowls come heaped with food, hot and delicious. One of the items we tried had way too much salt for me, but that didn't stop me from enjoying that as well. Will not be doing this all the time but once in a while it will be a fun and tasty way to do dinner.“

“I go here every week because they always have something new and the prices are very affordable. I love the variety of food that you can get. Highly recommend the Kkanpunggi (spicy garlic fried chicken) which is so light and not too spicy or sweet. Very well balanced and really crispy. I also really like their Yubuchobap, which has a variety of toppings like spicy pork, egg, bulgolgi and shrimp.“

“I've been coming to this location for around 4 years now. Used to come once a week or so for dinner.

Recently my girlfriend and I decided to dedicate every Wednesday to hotpot, during lunch. Not only is the lunch menu more affordable, it doesn't take away from the experience whatsoever. Whether it's dinner, or lunch, we enjoy this location especially!

For our last few visits, we've came a little bit after opening, and have been sat with Damian as our server. Not only is he very friendly, he's also very patient and polite! Service with Damian is great!

Whenever we need something, hes very quick to get to us, and help us with whatever we need. The drinks he's recommended us, have been awesome as well. -- From what Ive experienced, he's been very understanding and makes sure we're comfortable throughout our stay.

He always takes our finished plates when he makes his rounds, and overall is very pleasant to be served by. I hope our next visits also allow us to be sat with him :)!

The last time we came the service was not great, Damien completely changed how we feel about Kpot Englewood. He was very attentive, changed the grill every time it even appeared dirty, refilled waters regularly and checked on us numerous times. “I've been going here since they opened in 1996(?). The owners have changed a few times since, but the nangmyung recipe has remained the same. I love that the newest owners added the mixed nangmyun (mool bim nangmyun/ 물빔냉면) to the menu. Was always torn between either the mool or bibim nangmyun and now I get the best of both worlds. Also, the way they do the egg topping is chef's kiss 😘👌🏻“
