“This was one of the places my friend who moved to LA had to come back to during her visit.
They have the best rice cake and sausage (소떡소떡) I’ve had from a chicken shop. The rice cake is the perfect level of crispiness. The sausage is a normal Frankfurt sausage instead of the Korean ones but it’s still okay because their sauce is perfect. Even before eating the chicken, I can tell this is going to be amazing. They have great combo deals which are great for groups and they also give free Cajun fries (which are also good and fresh) a review! Definitely worth trying.“

“Ordered takeout from Don Chicken on Northern Blvd and went for the Spicy Soy Garlic Chicken and it did not disappoint. The pieces were pretty big, juicy inside, and had that trademark Korean fried chicken crunch: thin, shatter-crispy, never greasy. The soy garlic glaze was spot on savory, garlicky, with just enough kick to keep me reaching for another bite.
I also tried the Sweet & Spicy flavor not bad at all, just leaned sweeter than what I usually like.
What I really appreciate is how Korean fried chicken is different from the fried chicken most of us grew up with. Instead of a thick, heavy batter, it’s double-fried a method that actually came about in Korea in the 1960s and 70s when fried chicken started getting popular alongside beer (“chimaek,” short for chicken + maekju/beer, is now a whole culture). That double fry gives you the crunch without the grease, and the sauces like this soy garlic add layered flavor instead of just salt and breading.
For takeout, it traveled well too the chicken stayed crisp even by the time I got home, which tells you they’re doing it right. Generous portions, bold flavor, and that authentic K-fried crispness make the spicy soy garlic the clear winner for me.“

“This is my go to place, food is excellent, I tried multiple things on the menu and they're all great. I mostly do take out. I would love to eat in but this place is like a hole in the wall small. Place itself is very clean, cute and cozy, it just that it is really small so there are like maybe 3 tables, so you would have to be lucky to walk in when it's slow so you can get a table.“

“AWESOME KOREAN RESTAURANT IN LONG ISLAND: I’m not a foodie and I don’t think I’ve ever posted about restaurants (but I am Korean) - I have to make an exception for this place. Yes, this restaurant is on Long Island, but the Korean food EXCELLENT (better than lots of places in Flushing) and service is OUTSTANDING. Every dish we’ve tried so far (짜장면, 순두부찌개, 육개장, 제육덮밥) has been so amazing, delicious, and authentic (especially the spices!!!). If you’re ever in the area, please stop in and eat here. It’s crazy awesome! Thanks to my friend for encouraging me to try at a Korean restaurant that is not in Queens. My family will be forever grateful - five stars and 2 thumbs way up from me and my family members. :)“

“I picked up a few different types of kimchi- one cabbage, the other made with bachelor radishes. Both are delicious. I also picked up a non-spicy white kimchi for my wife. For lunch, I chose a package of dumplings- 4 kimchi and 4 pork. And I couldn’t pass up the spicy tuna Kim bap- and I am glad that I didn’t!
My first time here- extremely clean, and the staff was very helpful. I was hoping to buy a small package of the regular cabbage kimchi but they did not have any in the display cases. They were kind enough to go back to the kitchen and put one together for me.
There isn’t any option to dine in- no tables or anything, but well worth the visit for take out. :-)“

“Modoo Korean in Queens is my go-to spot when I’m craving something comforting and flavorful. The beef ramen is honestly one of my favorites—rich broth, tender beef, and super satisfying every time. Today I’m having the chicken katsu udon, and it’s hitting the spot too. The staff is always friendly and the vibe is relaxed, so it’s an easy place to keep coming back to.“
“The service was over the top great. The extremely friendly waitress doted on my toddler like he was her grandson, even feeding him! I’ve never had that happen in any restaurant ever.
The food was also delicious. I appreciated the great variety of kimchi and other banchan.“

“Since crispy cloud came to town, my life has been significantly improved.I LOVE their taiyaki, smoothies and açaí bowls. It’s important to note that it’s not that “fast” but that’s because it’s currently one person working there and she’s making everything fresh. It’s completely worth the $$ and time for me.“
“Brand new. When I walked in, they informed me they just opened the day prior. They even had trouble navigating some of the prices on the register, but overall, were very helpful and nice. They have an area just for side dishes, and some main dishes in the middle. When I came, they were still cooking, so the ideal time to go is around 12:30 - 1:00 to see what they have to offer.“

“We tried BBQ Chipork for the first time. The restaurant is small but clean. The host and cook were friendly. We ordered the $19.99 Ribs meal and had a feast! There were 6 tender ribs stacked on top of one another with a flavorful marinade. Their version of fried rice was far superior than other places - it wasn't greasy at all. The other sides were just as fresh and tasty. Street parking wasn't difficult and will defiantly revisit again.“

“This restaurant only has one main menu item, donkatsu, but it is absolutely delicious. The sauce is the best donkatsu sauce I’ve had by a long shot. The wait time for takeout is maybe 5-10 minutes depending on how busy it is. I would definitely recommend coming here for good donkatsu“

“Food is fire and the prices are very good. Only thing I have to say is I wish they can go back to the old recipe of the jalapeño mayo because it was so good. Chicken is always crispy and tender. All the sides are fire too u can’t go wrong with any of them.“

“Clean place. Food was fresh. Attentive staff. We went for my birthday on a Wednesday at 3:30. We were the only ones there so we may have had top notch attention for this reason. $40/adult, $20 for a 5yo and the 4yo was free. They sort this out by height. We LOVED their fried calamari. The table sides such as kimchi and other veggies were so yummy! I was pleasantly surprised with an ice cream cup and a birthday song. Also the music was fun! We had a 4 and a 5yo get up and start dancing mid dinner👍🏼“

“We’ve been to Rolly Kimbab in Bayside so many times, and we always end up getting their combo boxes. The combos are pretty reliable — nothing fancy, nothing “wow,” but definitely not bad. It’s just good, simple food that fills you up.
If you’re hungry and want something quick and solid, this place does the job. Just don’t expect anything high-end — it’s more like a tasty “eat till you’re full” kind of spot.“

“I just stopped in for lunch today. I had the spicy thigh burger meal, which includes fries & soda. I’m a retired chef & have tried numerous chicken sandwiches. This was delicious! Juicy, just the right amount of spice. The fries were also excellent! Not a fast food establishment, this is cooked to order. Both the young lady at the front counter & the young man working the kitchen were also very nice. Nice atmosphere! A pleasure, made my day!“

“Pretty interesting. Korean style Chinese foods.
Not authentic Chinese food, but quite authentic if you go to S. Korea.
The mandu (pot stickers) are good. And the jiang men noodles are great. The seafood stew was much better than expected. Great ocean flavor without smelling fishy or being overcooked.“

“Among my fave spots around. The atmosphere is electric and they play every game! Enjoy their all-day happy hour, when you can receive five shots for $25 to $40 (depending on your poison of choice). The food is more typical of a pub, but it's great for a quick bite and priced friendly! Highly recommended their bulgogi quesadilla. Couldn’t gate-keep any longer!!“

“Outstanding food and service. Had Korean bbq here with my family on a Saturday for lunch. They give you so much variety of banchan. It’s a hole in the wall restaurant that deserves more recognition. The servers work quickly and are super attentive. The bbq was grilled over charcoal and the meat was seasoned perfectly. We will definitely be back!“

“If you want Korean fried chicken that’s not a chain and actually has laid back vibes please come here. Chicken is always ridiculously fresh and overall it’s a great spot for friends
Parking: It’s shared between the other venues in the area. Most of the time it’s full but might be just enough for one car to find parking. Never had to wait long for a spot“

“This is my go to restaurant with my parents. We have never been disappointed coming here. My favorite lunch combo is the bulgogi with the cold noodles. Truly the perfect combination. As for the soups, my go to is always the 2 types of spicy beef soups. The bonchons are all delicious as well! I just wish they have kimbap was well, but hey, I would just get fatter haha!“

“Sauerkraut chinese fish. This cuisine is generally for fresh of the boat Chinese people. But over the last few years, it has steadily gained popularity amongst non Chinese and even non Asians. I can't even explain what the taste is like aside from it being maybe lemongrass and spicy at the same time. The bowl is filled with random veggies, spices, and, of course, your choice of fish or even duck blood. This spot is located inside the food court of 99 Ranch Market. The prices are reasonable ($12.95), and the employees are nice. They also serve Malatang. Those that don't know, look it up. When you pay with cash, you get a free drink (yellow colored fruit tea)“

“Absolutely incredible experience at New York Ban Jum! The flavors were bold, authentic, and perfectly balanced—hands down some of the best Korean-Chinese food I’ve had. The jjajangmyeon was rich and savory, the tangsuyuk was crispy and tender, and every dish came out hot and fresh. Service was friendly and fast, and the atmosphere had a cozy, welcoming vibe. Highly recommend this spot to anyone craving comfort food with a kick. I’ll definitely be coming back!“

“I really enjoyed this spot for traditional Korean jjajangmyeon. The noodles came out hot and fresh, with that rich, savoury black bean sauce that tastes just like the classic comfort food it should be. The portion was generous, and it felt hearty and satisfying. The restaurant itself has a simple, no-frills atmosphere, which makes it feel even more authentic. The service was friendly and quick. Definitely a place I’d come back to whenever I’m craving proper Korean comfort food.“

“Been coming here for decades. If you are Korean and a NewYorker there is a 90% chance you know of this place. Classic Korean black noodle spot that doesn’t disappoint! They make less than 12 dishes here and they do it well! Not much more to say. Big space, lots of seats and chill vibes. Totally biased but maybe the single most know korean restaurant in nyc? Who knows but Enjoy!“

“I ordered the wings with soy garlic and Korean bbq sauce. Both were delicious and very good. The garlic Parmesan fries actually has powdered sugar on top. I called to make sure it wasn’t someone in the kitchen messing up the seasoning. Turned out sugar is added on the fries so it’s salty and sweet. It’s not what I was expecting so not really my thing. I would order the plain French fries next time. The fries were very crunchy, just wished it wasn’t sweet.“
