“My son and I were looking for a cup of coffee, and were drawn to 367 Cafe by the promise of a patio. It's in the back and can be heated. Essentially this is a cozy cafe and sports bar. The very friendly proprietor told us it isn't worth his while to try to serve meals during the pandemic. The espresso was very good, however.“
“I would give 5 stars to the staff—they were very friendly and attentive, which made for a welcoming experience.
The ambience was convenient and cozy, making it a comfortable spot to grab a bite after grocery shopping.
Unfortunately, the food didn’t meet expectations. We ordered the Swiss burgers, which were dry and lacked quality in both taste and ingredients.“

“Had a wonderful time hosting our end of year social! The manager, Tom, was a dream to work with for our large group. Great menu items - loved the calamari, french fries, sweet potato fries, garlic bread, spinach dip and wings. Teegan was an attentive and friendly bartender.“

“Beginning to end, it was a fantastic experience. The plating was an art form of its own. The wine pairing shepherded by Christopher Sealy, was an absolute journey. What he presented was akin to a thesis. Utterly (and financially) indulgent. (10.19.24)“

“Today we went to Seoul pocha 72. We ordered a spicy cheesy katsu, the honeycomb pork belly, and the bubae jigae. The spicy cheesy katsu was spicy, crispy and full of cheese. The honeycomb pork belly was super tasty and savoury. The bubae jigae was pretty cool with many ingredients like tofu, sausage and noodles. Overall great food and experience.“

“Came for a girls night out and we absolutely loved the place. The atmosphere and music was great. We all ordered the “if I was all green” cocktail and a margarita pizza. Though the drinks are on the pricier side, everything we had was tasty. We even got a crème brûlée at the house, which was so sweet. All the servers were very kind and helpful as we were curious about what it’s like after the dinner service is done. My friends and I will definitely be coming back again!! :)“

“Excellent mixologists. Didn’t love the cocktail menu (too much tequila, mezcal and gin based for my tastes), but pleased that everything I ordered was well balanced and not too sweet. Food was fantastic. Service was friendly and knowledgeable, but not that attentive on a Fri night. I shouldn’t have to go out of my way to catch someone’s attention to order another drink, my glass was empty for a while. Overall a fun place“

“My friend recently hosted a birthday event at ON/OFF in North York, and it was a great experience! The staff did a fantastic job accommodating our large group. We enjoyed a variety of dishes, including the Pan Special Shrimp Cake, Chinese Style Poutine, and Wasabi Octopus, all of which were delicious. The only downside was that the seating felt a bit cramped for everyone to eat comfortably. Overall, it’s a fun spot with tasty food, perfect for group celebrations!“

“I was here for lunch on a Thursday. The restaurant was not busy at all at noon with only a handful of tables occupied. I enjoyed the empty restaurant as it gave me an opportunity to catch up with a good friend over a delicious meal. We ordered the spring rolls, taro rolls, green curry with chicken, and the pork belly.
Our appetizers came quickly and by the time we were done, the mains came out with a side of steamed rice. The flavours were exceptional, as was the attentive service.“

“Try the chicken pot pie, the crust is reminiscent of a flaky beef patty - yummy, yummy, Chef Darium. The fried crispy chicken sandwich is another winner, pair it with a salad for a full meal.
Get the keylime pie, it's delicious! Shout out to chef Marco.“

If you’re ordering takeout, call instead of ordering off apps! You also get a discount if you pay in cash! I am excited for the weather getting nicer again because Ju sushi also has an incredible back patio -it’s like a hidden oasis In the neighbourhood!“

“Went for an engagement party in the back party room. The bar itself was hopping on a Friday night with full tables and bar seating. The food was ok for platter/party service. Excellent selection of brews on tap and in cans. Cocktail menu looked interesting.“
“Cozy little bar with a nice back patio. Stopped here for a drink after dinner so I didn’t try their great looking boards. $10 cocktail special even on a Friday night, had a bees knees and it was good. Nice chill vibe, will definitely be back!“

“A wide variety of delicious bar dishes and drinks available till late at night. So if you're starving and everything else is closed, this is a perfect spot to finish up the night in a lively and fun, authentic Japanese atmosphere.
Also note that this location hosts two business; Bar Sampo (@sampo_toronto) in the evenings, and Ohiru Cafe in the mornings and afternoons, for delicious breakfasts and brunches.
On the menu:
• Ohitashi: Japanese blanched greens with savory sauce
• Beef Tataki: Seared beef, onion, pea shoots, fried onion and home made ponzu sauce
• Grilled curry: Tomato rice, melted cheese.
• Gomaae Duo: Blanched green bean & rapini with black and white sesame sauce
• Karaage: Japanese fried chicken with aonori seaweed
• Tsukemono (Japanese pickles)

“A cozy place with an old fashioned diner design. Great service, friendly staff who actually explain and describe the food when you have questions, even if they don’t know the answer they will ask and comeback with an answer.
Burgers were good but I felt it had too much relish. The stuffed wings were great, juicy and tasty.
Karage chicken was moist crispy and flavourful.
Overall it’s a great place to catchup with friends and enjoy some snacks.“

“A unique twist of a dive bar, with a Japanese Rock n Roll blend. They have a decent selection of Japanese beers and whiskey (along with other options). Small and intimate space perfect for catching up with friends over a drink or four. The jukebox has a great list of classic hits.“

“My wife and I enjoyed a lovely evening out. Sampled multiple items which were all incredible. Had Sake and never really wanted to leave. We walked in without reservations and were accommodated immediately. Serving staff were friendly and attentive. Overall a wonderful experience and we're looking forward to our next visit.“
“Cool neighbourhood spot. 15 dollar cocktails, good menu, paper planes, negroni's, old fashions, espresso martinis, all the core ones every good cocktail bar should have. I think it's also a cafe during the day.
They had a live DJ playing some Berlin type music not too loud which was a nice touch. There is some seating space in front of the patio, and next to the building to hang out. Tall beer cans and cocktails are 7-8 bucks which is a good deal. They have some non-alcoholic beers too which is nice.
Inside has that cool vintage hipster Berlin feel to it. No cover, no lineups, just a nice local neighbourhood bar near the bridge and a bunch of other autoshops. Was walking back from an art gallery and we just literally stumbled upon it and sat down for a catch up drink.
I feel like Toronto needs more places like this. Quiet neighbourhood bars with a nice selection of music, quality cocktails, not too expensive, no lines ups. Nice slightly mature place for people to catch up and have a drink without having to venture heavily into the Dundas West bar scene where it's way more hectic. Probably fits like 20 people so it's nice and intimate. Kind of reminds me of some of the bottle shops in Montreal where you can either drink it there and vibe or take it to the park right next to it. Place has some character to it. Would like to see it have a good solid run in Toronto's independent bar scene and be supported by the neighbourhood.
Next time I'm back I'll try out the cocktail menu and see if that's fire too. Can selection was interesting. I got a fruit punch vodka seltzer with 2 grams of sugar which was good. LBGTQ+ friendly but open to anybody really. Still has that cool Dundas West OG grunge premium dive bar feel all the hipsters like me enjoy. Keep up the great work Tommy!“

“Resonable prices right on the waterfront. They converted this outdoors auditorium to a casual bar restaurant. They even have a doggy menu… but they will charge you $250 if your pet does its “business” within the bordes of the location.“

“I've been here a few times. It doesn't look like much from the outside but it's a fun community bar on the inside, there's open mic and live music karaoke nights too! I keep forgetting they serve food here as well and it's better than you'd expect for a community bar.“

“The atmosphere is dark and cozy. The décor instantly transports you to a vintage English pub. The food was 10/10 with each bite being better than the last. “Great place for drinks on the patio. The vibe inside is very dark but cozy. Food and drinks were delicious. The burger is a must have. A good all around juicy burger. We also had the beef tartar and eggplant katsu. Menu changes weekly so there's always new things to try. Glad I was able to check out this spot as we don't usually find ourselves that far east of downtown.“

“The Horseshoe Tavern is maybe the best local bar in Toronto. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, excellent location. A perfect place for a drink or to catch a show most nights. They bring in international acts and also out a real spotlight on local indie artists (like me!). I love this bar!“

“I first heard about New Retro from my friends who frequents this basement bar a lot. It is located underneath Zakkushi; it uses the same entrance, and just down a flight of stairs. The ambiance is moody and dim, and the music from the 80s-90s really hit the spot. I did see other tables using flashlights on their phone to look at the menu though, so you can imagine how dark it must be inside XD The kitchen is open-style; you can certainly see the all the actions going on behind the scenes.
Since there were so many choices on the menu, we opted in for the 6-course tasting menu (85). The tasting menu was quite sharable between the two of us; you can order more food/snacks a la carte later if you want more. The food was delicious - loved the appetizers, hamachi sashimi, chawanmushi, wagyu beef, and the somen was SO GOOD. The only thing I had an issue with was the salmon fish roes used in the rice dish at the end. The roes were too salty for my liking, and I had to unfortunately pick all of them out :( The rice itself was amazing. Other than the little hiccup, we really enjoyed our meal.“

The maze udon was rich and savory. The ambiance was hip and fun, perfect for an after work hangout . The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations. This is hands down one of the good midtown izakaya I have been to. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a top-notch culinary experience!
Parking: No parking in front (yonge street) however some at the back of restaurant where there's a backdoor for entry.“
