“The food is very good, especially the Mao Du Gong dishes. It is very suitable for gathering with friends. The waiters Lily, Brandy and Hazel have perfect service. They helped us set the table and paid careful attention to our needs. They took the initiative to get the tableware for us.“

“The food has a taste of hometown. The signature spicy crab is worthy of being the signature, the crab🦀 is very fresh and the meat is plump. The grilled fish is also great. However, there was probably a lot of MSG in the food, which made my mouth feel dry after eating. Overall it is highly recommended“

“Jimmy, our friend from Pittsburgh, USA told us about this place. He read about it on a Chinese community group chat and is determined to eat here when he gets to visit Toronto. He said the food is authentic from his hometown in Anhui, China. He is missing real Chinese food.
We have eaten here twice. Service is friendly and thoughtful. My 92 yo mom loves the wide soup noodles (their signature dish). I like the rice noodles with sour beans.
Washrooms are clean but they are downstairs in the basement.“

“Fantastic food, service and atmosphere. Came on a Saturday night and asked the waiter what he would recommend and he did not disappoint. He recommended the cumin lamb, eggplant Lo mein and we stuck with a classic general tso’s chicken just in case. The 2 dishes he recommended were our favourite. We ordered another recommended dish to go, since we are from out of town, the pickled pepper and bamboo beef. Lots of great flavours and perfect spices. Service was incredibly fast and knowledgeable with insightful recommendations. Ambiance was quaint, and some old-time classic jazz instrumental in the background created a lovely atmosphere. Top it off with some delicious nutty desserts to make a perfect meal on a Saturday night. Whenever we are out this way, we will definitely be coming back!“

“They only take reservations for a party of 6 or more. We arrived at 5pm on a Saturday. There were only a few tables available.
2 hours for dining. Great service and the staff are friendly and attentive. 10% off if you pay by cash.
You can choose the level of spice, which is great for someone like me, who can't take any spice. lol
The meat is tender and flavourful. Highly recommend the garlic with eggplants, lamb, beef hearts, and the fried milk custard.
Would definitely return.“

“Came here twice a year apart and the pan fried baos were still jaw droppingly good. Crispy bottom without being burnt, meat and soup filling has a deep flavour that is sweet and fragrant aroma and not overly salty!
Duck vermicelli is very light flavour but hearty enough.“

“Nice and Convenience place. Good foods. Best Asia food shop in town.
Pricing at Bridge Ribs is reasonable, especially consideringthe quality and portion sizes. It’s slightly higher than a typical fast food chain, but given the fresh ingredients and the authenticity of the flavors, it’s well worth it.“

“We visited this place in a Saturday evening. The pork knuckle with rice is real good. Highly recommended. I always dreamed of having this dish in Longjiang, China but didn’t get a chance. Fortunately this place is a small gem on Yonge. This restaurant is small but looks like the owner tried hard to make the interior look similar to what you might find in Guangdong. Such as the plastic seats and foldable tables. There are other Chinese places in Toronto pretending that they have the same dish, but they are all kinda fake after I came here.“

“Looking for a place to have barbecue at night? Zaomenkan is a good place in Toronto. Each type of barbecue tastes different. They all have the taste they should have. The spiciness is moderate, the chicken rack portion is large, and the service attitude is good! Recommended: semi-strong beef, beef tendon, squid tentacles, bread 🍞
The noodles given to me for my birthday are delicious!
Sitting here, I realized that the store is owned by Sun Yizhou~“

“The place is cozy and flavours were great! Portions are huge as well. We had the lunch special combo (Sauerkraut Fish) that includes a side dish, rice and a drink. They have spicy and non-spicy options for all palates with lots of add-on options too. Will definitely be back to try their spicy options next time!“

“Lunch time craving satisfied.
Wanted some HK Cafe food today, specifically some satay beef noodles.
@goodluckhkcafe always comes through. The food here never disappoints. Tho quite on the pricer side, but well worth it imo.
Key to finding a spot here is you have to come 10 to 15 min before actual lunch time. Once you pass the 12:00 point, the traffic picks up.
Try their drink menu as well. Highly recommended. I just didn't feel like having any milk tea or lemon tea today
Check this out next time you're in yonge and finch area.“

“we got the cream shrimp, tangsuyuk, jjamppong, white jjamppong, and jjajjangmyeon! i especially loved the jjajjangmyeon and cream shrimp, the flavours were just like the ones in korea. i really love the smokey taste of the jjamppong and it also has tons of seafood. despite it being really affordable they definitely didn’t slack on the food quality and quantity!“

“The presentation of the dishes, the quantity and the taste were fabulous. The house was full on today's (Saturday) late lunchtime when we arrived. But we were seated shortly because of the 3-4 diligent young servers. We would like to thank Owen specially for his helpfulness and kindness so that we had a happy lunch!
We ordered deep fried spicy tofu which was just right for my palate to handle. The wrap of the beef steamed dumplings, or baos was thin with sufficient juice inside which is as good as the famous Chinese restaurant in First Markham Place. Last of all, the pork wonton in chicken soup was yummy too! Forgot to say the price was very affordable! Bonus!
I definitely will bring my family there in the near future. Hopefully we are going to see Owen again!“

“The taste is very good, but the price is a bit expensive. I feel that there are very few types of side dishes, only plates of large dishes. It is a bit difficult to order food alone, so the store can consider adding some side dishes or half dishes.“

“Really good noodles! And they give you noodle refills! My daughter at almost 3 bowls of noodles! Noodles come in a super heated bowl and piping hot! I burned my tongue but it was so good!
I had a super spicy lamb and it was delicious! Also the clams were delicious and I don’t know what sauce that was on it but it was so good!
Can’t remember what else we tried but the whole family enjoyed it. Would go again!“

“Oct2024: third visit, and fond of the beef dry noodles, extra spicy and crispy pork bun. The special, marinated pork belly on rice with a braised egg is good too.
Have tried several of the side dishes and liked all of them: three delicacies in tofu, tofu with preserved egg, kelp salad, wood fungus salad, spicy beef tripe, crispy bun with pork and siu mai.
The noodles and sides are a good size serving for single diners. I think a noodle dish plus one side would be filling for most diners.
Rice noodles are also offered if you don't want wheat based noodles.
They also have lunch specials between 11:30am-3:30pm.
Seating is limited and austere, but service and food was excellent.
Not many places offer dry noodles and I thought this version was quite good and a decent serving size, will be back.
Vegetarian options: There are tofu dishes, vegetable dishes and dry noodle dishes made without meat.
The dry noodles sauce is made without meat or animal products and ingredients are listed in the menu: sesame paste, cilantro, green onion, sour green bean, dried radish.
Parking: Plenty of free parking, the restaurant is located in an office building surrounded by a parking lot.“

“Eating a delicious 'leftover' (carefully reserved) pork bun for breakfast, and I'm motivated to get my laptop and leave a review.
We've been going for years, albeit not so often as we'd like. It's an hour drive from downtown TO, but we make the dedicated trip one or twice a year and we're never disappointed. We love the hot oil soups, the popcorn chicken and their various veggies dishes seasoned with pork.“

“My parents live in the area so when I was younger I would come here to get some Chinese food. I always remembered that they had the best chicken wings. Recently came back again to try it and it still tastes the same so yummy crunchy delicious! I ordered some party platters and they were a hit! And the owners are super super nice! You could tell they care about customer service. The guy helped me carry the food to my car he absolutely did not have to and he did not hesitate to help. Who does that nowadays? Anyway Thank you China Wok until next time! Definitely run don’t walk and order your catering needs! Wish I had photos but they got devoured before I even had a chance to take a photo.“

“I came here once of dinner and once for dim sum. I find that dinner service was very good. The lady serving us that evening was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious; we ordered 8 dishes for the 5 of us to share, and we did not even make a dent hahaha... they portions are very big, and we took the rest of the food home. Highly recommend coming here for dinner :)
Dim sum was just madness - it was very busy on a Saturday afternoon around 1:30pm, with lots of people standing at the front door. I actually don't like loud and crowded space; we couldn't even speak at the table with just the 4 of us. My voice was completely gone after that. I do not recommend coming here for dim sum, not because the food wasn't good, it was just WAY too loud.
Parking: There are more parking spots up the ramp on the 2nd floor“

“Excellent Chinese restaurant, great atmosphere and delicious food, especially Lanzhou beef noodles. My girlfriend and I often lunch her, and because of the pandemic, we are now ordering delivery. Very fast, tasty and not expensive. ps. You should definitely try fried noodles, chunks of lamb, and barbecue skewers.“

“I had a wonderful experience with delicious food and incredibly friendly staff. The Peking Duck combination with the wrapped lettuce was absolutely fantastic—it truly exceeded my expectations. We also enjoyed the beef fried rice and the Combo for 4, which had a great selection of recommended dishes. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for a delightful meal.“

“Pretty good place. I like it because it feels more friendly and less fancy than Congee Queen. The food is very similar, I think it’s the same company. A new special menu just came out - with innovative dishes like special mushrooms, rice noodle roll with beef and truffle flavour. Good job to the chefs for creating new dishes!
The prices are still Ok, they’ve gone up a lot since the pandemic but it’s still affordable for me. I have come here with many friends and the food is consistently fresh and tasty. Thank you Congee Wong, you make my life so much better. However, I find the servers a bit slow or inattentive at times but that might be because I eat alone often, during off peak hours. They have a great deal between 3-5 pm weekdays where there’s a special menu and you get either a HK milk tea, lemon tea, or red bean with ice cream drink free. I think people get the red bean with ice cream a lot in that weekday afternoon special. It’s very worth it. Everything else is fine.“

“They have really good fried rice. I got the shrimp fried rice with Chicken on top. They specialize in Chinese Caribbean fusion. The Guyanese style chicken fried rice is also really good. There is even one called the amigo fried rice which is pretty popular. I've been going to this place for over 20 years and there's a reason why they've lasted this long.“

“Nothing but great things to say. If you want some hot spicy soup on a cold day? This is the spot. Most places have semi-spicy soup, but if you want a challenge, this is your spot. The braised chicken is beautiful tender and flavourful. With the price, they do not cheap out on the serving size. With each bite I took it didn’t feel like the dish was shrinking but rather growing with how much meat they gave!! This review is not based off of one visit either. Every time I’ve eaten here it’s been nothing but consistent.“

“I love this place! It reminds me of the food from my hometown Nanjing. Please be aware that the buns and shu mai here are Nanjing style meaning that they are different than the other Hong Kong dim sum varieties which are popular in downtown Toronto. Truly a good representation of Nanjing specialties!“

“Ordered grilled fish with mild spice, but it wasn’t spicy at all. The fish was very good—tender and with few bones.
The dish was served at room temperature, so it needed to be heated before eating for the best experience. After the meal, I felt very thirsty, possibly due to the seasoning being a bit salty.“

“?Pan Pan Noodle Bar offers a great deal with a bowl, a side, and a drink for under $16! ?Their signature dish is the pan-fried noodles, but my personal favorite is their burning noodles. You can choose your own toppings? and spice level—I recommend the braised tofu, minced pork, and beef brisket, which are surprisingly tender and juicy.Other must-tries include ?the beef skewers (tender and meaty with a slight fatty taste), the saliva chicken (spicy but not overwhelming) and the crispy and juicy chicken cartilage!Thankyou? @panpan_noodle_bar? @innisophotos? “This is a dumpy looking hole-in-the-wall and if you know Chinese restaurants, you know this place must be serious eats. And IT IS! There is not one dish I've had at this place that disappoints me. Staff is prompt (like no small talk, no smiles, CLASSIC), gets your order, tell you the specials and kitchen get to work. I can't read Chinese, so I'm probably missing out on all the Chinese specials on the wall, maybe I'll try google lens next time and decipher everything. You don't go to No Frills to cry about it being no frills. Atmosphere is exactly what I'd expect from a place like this, its clean, no fuss, no decor, you don't like it, you're not serious about Chinese food. Best snow pea shoots in town, its tender every single time so you know they've meticulously picked out all the chewy bits :chefs kiss:. It's definitely what I consider a hidden gem. I've been to Chinese "banquet halls" restaurants with less impressive food (you know, the ones with the traditional tacky decor). My only complaint is seafood selection is pretty "selective" on any given day (aka not available), the live-tank looks pretty piss-poor. Still, I ain't knocking it any stars because seafood effin expensive anyways, ain't nobody got time (or money) for that.“

“I am very happy as a first-time customer. Hubby and I found this restaurant on our way home between Scarborough and Mississauga. Got 2 Cantonese chow mein dishes which were good and a lot cheaper than our local Chinese restaurant place. Too bad this place is too far to order to where I live, but I will keep this place in mind if I'm/we are in the area again“

“Just ordered via UrberEat - good portion and flavour, clean presentation which are the important 3 elements for take out. Some dishes are on promotion and they didn’t cheap out on the portion which shows good business sense (I will never order again from places that do that). Son, the Canadian born likes the Chicken Leg lunch and I enjoy more authentic dishes - it’s rare to find a restaurant we all enjoy so will order again!“
