She was beyond stellar, going above and beyond to create a fantastic and personal guest experience. My partner and I dined here for the Valentine’s day special, visiting this spot for the first time - and were SO impressed with the food, drink selection, service, speed of service (!!), and atmosphere. In my opinion, this is the go-to spot for date night in Ottawa. I could not say more than .. total perfection!! We will be returning and requesting a table in Shaw’s section for SURE!!! Thank you to the kitchen team and service staff for an exceptional evening. I have not been this wowed by the Ottawa food scene in a long time. Absolutely visit this spot if you are looking for a welcoming but upscale dining experience. It simply cannot be beat.”

“Arguable the best pizza I've ever eaten. So good I had to let the owner know. I've tried alot in my lifetime and nothing compared to this spot, its in a bracket of its own.

I tried to buy a coffee cup as a reminder of the spot, I know a coffee cup from a pizza joint, but it was a cool cup. But Eric (the owner) or maybe co-owner, gave me one for free.

As a maritimer visiting ottawa on a work trip, I've heard of the spot and don't get me wrong. I understand people have their views on pizza, but this was light, crust was crispy, and it sit well when picking up a slice.

I tried the deluxe I believe, I wanted to stay on the safe side for a first timer, but I'll definitely be trying more if or when I get the chance to go back.

“Kettlemans Bagel opens 24 hours a day 7 days a week, 365 days a year, and thats all you can ever ask for. Breakfast bagel is the best value, staff are friendly and always ready to help. It's nice seeing them make the bagels infront of you.”

“I recommend Kettlemans as the food is good and they have good variety. That said. The service is sub-par. My wife and I stop here regularly on Sunday Mornings about 7 am 2 or 3 times a month. Consistently nobody greets us even though there are many workers who make eye contact and just keep doing whatever they're doing. More often than not we have to call out to get attention after waiting several minutes at the front counter. Management doesn't seem to value customer service and simply expects people to keep coming back as if Kettlemans' history entitles them to customers. That is a surprising attitude in an otherwise excellent store.”

“On average we get take out from Sula Wok once per week. We love the food and the vibe of the place. (Sula and her gang are also very nice to deal with). I really like the traditional Pad Thai. Recently, Sula asked that I try a slightly new version of the dish (apparently less fishy). Sula asked that I let her know if I liked it or not. While I thought the taste was a little different (maybe not as spicy or “fishy”), I still loved it and will be ordering it again.”

The lamb chops were perfectly grilled, tender, and full of flavor. You can immediately taste the quality of the meat and the care put into the seasoning. The saffron basmati rice was aromatic, fluffy, and cooked just right. Exactly how Persian rice should be.
The plate was generous and beautifully balanced with fresh salad and grilled tomato, which completed the meal perfectly. Every bite felt authentic and comforting, like real home style Persian cuisine done at a professional level.

A more extensive wine bottle and by the glass list would be appreciated. Service was very good, but our warm and accommodating waitress could benefit from more familiarity with the beverage and meal menu to inform and guide customers choices. I was worried that our request for a black cake would be difficult to pull off, but she knocked it out of the park and the guests at our wedding were RAVING about it.

I live in the east end but my offices are only a 10-minute walk from their location, so i was worried that the pandemic might force them to close but luckily, they are still the best hidden gem on Bank Street! Depending on my work schedule I go there once or twice a week because I crave their comfort food! I LOVE Golden Baguette!!”

While the scallops were cooked well the purée lacked flavour.. missing that hit of cheese. I had to use some lemon to liven the dish a bit. My friend had the streak frites, medium rare that came rare. We had the kitchen bring to temp. I had a bite and it was tender and flavourful. I will return to try more from the menu and see how it goes. A great place either way for atmosphere and drinks.”

“Went here yesterday, really loved the ambience and the reflect of Nepali culture as the interior. I loved all food, everything was delicious. My favorite was the selroti achar and chowmein with their chutney. It gave me a typical Nepali taste and it felt so good. The service was lovely. Thank you so much for serving us and making our experience beautiful overall. Special thanks to the cook and the friendly young guy and girl who was in the cashier. Definitely recommend when you visit Ottawa and you’re craving some good Nepali food!”

We had an amazing time at this Turkish restaurant Sultan Sulyman. The food was absolutely delicious—rich flavors, perfectly cooked meats, and fresh, authentic ingredients. The kebabs were tender and full of flavor, and the bread was warm and freshly baked.

The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Everything arrived quickly and beautifully presented.

If you’re looking for genuine Turkish cuisine with great service and a lovely ambiance, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended”

“My first time to Barrio with my daughter and two friends was a very fun time. We enjoyed the flavourful drinks and the shared appetizers- a salad and carpaccio ( thinly sliced vegetable dish). We each chose a main which we also shared. The salmon, chicken and braised beef were all delicious.
We talked ourselves into sharing the chocolate dessert and the three milk cake. A good decision.
Our waitress was friendly and accommodating. At the end I ordered a take out sandwich which she carefully packed each food item separately so nothing got soggy.
The Latino decor was refreshing and inviting. I hope to return soon.”

I ordered the Chirashi, my usual go-to, and was not disappointed - hands down the best I’ve had in many years. If you love good sushi, you don’t want to miss out on this hidden gem. Make yourself a reservation - it’s well worth the trip, even if you don’t live in Orleans.”

“Very cute little restaurant just off of the main street, the food was absolutely divine and the waitress was so so polite about everything and incredibly helpful in teaching us how we should eat the food we ordered and was quick to answer about ingredients in the fish sauce to prevent an allergic reaction with a bright smile the whole time, i would absolutely recommend to anyone new to Vietnamese food.
