“Taco Bell is Taco Bell.

That is not an insult. That is the point.

Sometimes you want something fast, hot, affordable, and familiar. Taco Bell usually delivers on that. The menu is easy, the food is consistent, and when you are hungry, a burrito, tacos, or a Crunchwrap can solve the problem.

That said, keeping the sauces behind the counter makes no sense.

The sauces are part of Taco Bell. That is half the experience. Mild, Hot, Fire, Diablo — people know what they like, and nobody wants to ask for sauce like they are requesting office supplies.

Especially with prices going up everywhere, little things like that matter. If customers are already paying more, at least let them grab the sauces without turning it into a negotiation.

The food is still good for what it is. The staff keeps things moving. The order is usually reliable.

But free the sauces.

“Hey, McDonald's is... McDonald's, right? Cookie cutter menu, expected furniture. But... there are differences: staff, cleanliness, etc. Gladstone McDonald's has a happy staff, clean environment. My favorite McDonald's in the Portland area.“

“My husband and I have gone into this Subway twice, and Jesse helped us both times. He made some of the best Subway sandwiches we’ve ever had. He really took the time to make them perfectly. Every bite had all the ingredients balanced just right, they looked great, and they tasted amazing. On top of that, Jesse was incredibly kind, calm, and polite both times we visited. His attitude and customer service really stood out to us. Employees like him make people want to come back.

To the manager or whoever is in charge reading this: Jesse deserves a raise, bonus, or some kind of recognition for the excellent job he’s doing! We will definitely be back thanks to him!“

“I asked GPT to help find me a few burger places to try and this is one that came up. And I understand why. The burger was great. The fries were amazing, and came with a ranch sauce that I could tell was hands down better then the ones most places serve.
The burger had a great texture and the way everything was prepared I didn't even bother trying to add ketchup to it even thou I add it to everything. It was just that good on it's own.

I wanted to try one of the malts but was so full from the burger that I now have a reason to go back.

“I've tried several other places around Portland for bahn mi, and while they've all been satisfying, these ones are legitimately the best I've had.

The ingredients are all so flavorful (I got the grilled lemongrass pork and the chili momi, highly recommend!) But they also fill the sandwiches very well. I was stuffed after having the Super Combo.

The staff were friendly, the food is delicious, service was quick, prices reasonable. I will absolutely be back!

“I ordered a chicken gyro and it was very good. The gentleman waiting on me was very courteous friendly and answered all my questions. I also got a bottle of coke. There's an area next to it with two picnic tables that was nice I was able to sit there and eat my meal. Very clean area and I will return to eat there again in the future. Price for gyro and drink were very fair and respectable, at $13 total.“

“Five Guys has great burgers they get your order done in a timely fashion it's a very clean environment they come out to clean tables every 15 minutes they have a freestyle soda machine with every soda option imaginable they have lettuce wraps and bowls for those with sensitivities if you tell them you have an allergy to gluten they will make your burger in a separate area however if you have sensitivities to gluten mayo is not a good option for your burger as the Mayo is swiped on regular buns and will contain little bits of bun in it always read the menu ahead of time if you have other sensitivities.“

You are in and out so fast that im impressed every time. Eating out has become a very expensive trip out for the individual and the family. “I visit this particular Five Guys often and I haven't had a bad experience yet. The employees are friendly, the food is freshly made, and you get to have peanuts while you wait for your food. If you're getting fries, I highly recommend the cajun fries. The banana milkshake is delicious and my husband loves their salted caramel milkshake. Bonus: they have Mello Yello.“

“A real gem in the university district! Having been to Hawaii and eaten authentic plate lunch I can assure you the other reviews are incorrect. The restaurant is clean and spacious. The food is prepared well, tastes excellent and is priced very reasonably for the large portions. Something hard to find in the area. Another rarity is the owners take the time to get to know their customers. You can expect to be asked if you want "the usual" if you dine more than a few times. It is refreshing to see hard working small business owners still making it work.“

“Great Chick Fil A. Food is great like other locations. Crispy chicken. Fluffy buns. Very friendly staff.

They have the screen board with wait time, table time etc. Self service for kids drawing paper and crayons. They also provide one-time use serving mat for toddlers. Very considerate and thoughtful.

In this location, the game “spot the cow” is popular. Basically if kids under 10(?) find the cow in the store, they can claim a treat. Very fun.

“This is the cleanest fast food restaurant on 82nd I've seen. Bathrooms are very clean, including parking lot. A lot of homeless people hang around out side due to the bus stop being right on the side walk near the building but had no issues with them. The service has been the fastest I've seen in a while less then 5 minutes after Ordering. Even when asked to site out front to wait for meal. Great place love their Oreo large shakes they have now they really hook it up. And the plus side is the drive thru is open 24 hours witch is great for that late night munchies.“

“These lil pizzas are perfect for two people or one with a big appetite. No need to spend $50 on a whole pie when you can custom build your own to order and have it come up super fast. Next time I order a thin crust I might ask them to bake it longer so it achieves the crunch that was missing today. The choices are vast for each category. If you aren't the type to wing it, I'd suggest looking up the options beforehand.
There is a large patio outdoors as opposed to the highly industrial interior of exposed metal beams. Staff was friendly and efficient, patient with an obviously new customer.“
