“Considering how bad the subway near me in NE Portland is when I went here to get the same sub as I got down there in Milwaukie...this place is great. The artisanal bread was actually flaky and the sandwich was good. They made me want to get subway more. Unfortunately, the subway near me with its chewy gross artisanal bread that I doubt they even toasted soured me. But hey, go HERE!“
“To me it is heartbreaking that the covid has left so many restaurants with no seating inside. I am coming to the point where I will not go back to any place that has no restroom for the public.Parking: Wonderful parking but no need the lobbies not open. So if you want to go through the drive-thru and come around and park and eat in the parking lot you can. But another part of covid is that no one has outdoor garbage anymore so the garbage from your meal you have to take with you.“

There’s a sign on the drive thru ordering menu that says they’re currently understaffed so that’s why the drive thru is closed Just an FYI for people like me who might drive out of their way for that convenience just to realize there’s no drive thru like I did last night lol“
“I saw the raving reviews so wanted to check this place out. The bahn mi is good bulgogi has good flavor. The meat is pretty chewy though, and I would say the combo definitely is not worth the extra 5 bucks. I'd stick to the sandwich. The service was pretty quick and the lady was very nice. It's a small hole in the wall location. I would however avoid this area after about 5/6pm. This area is home to many people whom reside outside lol. As someone who has been to almost every bahn mi place in Portland I will say comparing to best baguette, bahn mi fresh, and a few other bahn mi places i think killer bahn mi is the best! But it is quite spendy for a bahn mi. You pay for it in the amount of meat they give you but still. If you like this kind of bahn mi I'd recommend also checking out an xuyen bakery. It's this little bakery on like 51st and foster but they have some of the biggest bahn mis I've ever had for 1/2 the price.“
“Highly recommend this place! Burger was AMAZING & I try MANY different PDX burgers! Curly fries were spot on! And then topped off with malted shakes... yum! We will def be back... often! Oh, the people we really friendly and helpful too, but food was so good I'd go back even if there were jerks... haha“
“Great food, great service, great atmosphere. We had a blue corn massa with green garlic and mushrooms - so delicious and unlike any tamale we had ever had, in a good way. Also, a similarly unique and uncommonly good quesadilla, blue corn tortilla, cabbage two ways, cheese and sauce, so scrumptious. Finally the Pork Collar Confit - WoW! Melt in your mouth tender meat, great flavors, and wonderful 'Mexican-Lebanese' flatbreads to soak up all of he deliciousness.“

“So, I went 4 stars just because this place is CHEAP - like you can get a decent meal for like $7, so that’s a bonus for sure. But just food alone, 3 stars. I thought the burger was pretty mid. The bun was pretty dry, and the burger patty just didn’t hit the mark. Sauce is great tho!“
“Pupusas! I just wanted to try one of these for the first time, and El Porvenir did not disappoint. I had the chicharrón pupusa with delicious salsas for $6 and was surprised to find it satisfying without being too heavy. Wonderful flavor and texture.Look forward to another visit to try the chef’s other specialties.“
“Wow ! Portland is really stepping up their game when it comes to Chinese food!!! I had never tried it, but these traditional Chinese baozi were so juicy, spiced to perfection, delicious, and full of meat and the Jia Zhang mian were just like they were in Beijing. I ordered delivery and don't know if they have dine in. I will go back again soon! They also have frozen baozi and jiazi to boil or steam at home! Can't wait to order through their menu!“
“This is a GREAT location and super clean and convenient. The sausage egg and cheese biscuit I had was fresh and hot. The lobby is really updated and if you like the kiosk order or app it's great! If you want to have a person at the counter and be waited on its less great.“
