“The food was amazing. Yes the price is a little higher than other places but the quality is the best. I have yet to find a sushi restaurant that serves it as good as here and it's not even close. The service was top notch as well. I will be coming back here and recommending it to others as well. A++“
“Perfect date night with amazingly well prepared food. Appreciated that we didn’t feel rushed by the waiter or that the restaurant was trying to keep the guests revolving through as fast as they could. Was not expecting a few menu items with Asian flair, highly recommend pairing the chilled tom kha mussels and shrimp udon. Husband said oysters were the best he’s had. Really enjoyed having some different drinks to try, like skin contact wine and Amari. Will definitely be back!“
“Went for cocktails, which were lovely and not crazy expensive. Food, including oysters and a small plate of cheese ended up costing over 70 per couple averaging three drinks for two. Great environment. Nice staff. Just seemed pretty pricey for food. But, who am I kidding? I never go out anymore!“
“Had the fish and chips which were good and reasonably priced-- I've paid a heck of a lot more for a lot less lately. JoJo's were great too.Lot's of good vibes here. This is a busy place on a Friday afternoon...very popular. Wouldn't recommend it for anyone who struggles with auditory processing issues though.“
“What an amazing night we had! We were celebrating our 26th Wedding Anniversary and everyone of the staff went out of their way to make sure it was the best night possible for us and all wishing us a Happy 26th Anniversay. The food was excellent, the care of professionalism was the best bar none. We will be back! Our gratitude to Mark our waiter and the entire staff, please don't forget to thank them all for us, even our car attendant was kind and courteous.I can't say Thank you to each and everyone for such a delightful night and a memory we will hold in our hearts and minds for the rest of our lives. And also to the gracious lady at the next table who paid for part of our dinner. We feel truly blessed.“
“Incredible! Love the western bayou vibes in this place. You can feel the history of guests past in the bar. I was there during happy hour and had a few appetizers, two entrees, and a handful of drinks and only spent $100. Nowadays when you step outside and pay $100 to take a breath, it was great to feel like I actually got great value for my money. Food was delicious as well which was just icing on the cake.“
“I'm so happy they opened a location in Beaverton! I love that the menu doesn't mess around. Pick your meat, add ons and sides and be ready to enjoy an incredible meal with your family and friends. Dishes are essentially family style and the flavors are bold yet balanced. Don't skip on upgrading to the garlic rice and my daughter said the pancit canton is the best she's ever had. Everyone there was so friendly, it reminded me of being home. I'm definitely looking forward to their brunch menu and halo halo.“
“Despite the restaurant being quaint, the energy inside is electric! The posters on the wall are just so cool, my friends and I tried to identify all the movies (and dramas?) we've watched. And the food is so delicious! We had the corn dogs which were delicious, and the tteokbokki was amazing! We also ordered the spicy sweet and regular soy garlic chicken and they were really good, too. I think the spicy sweet could be a little spicier as well. And the bossam! I still think about it at times. It was delicious! I want to go back ASAP.“
“The server suggested Cod...and we had the Fish and Chips , it was great fish...yummy tarter sauce...the burger was truly great, too...!!!The salad was fresh...ditch the fries and croutons! Save yourself some calories and money....fresh cut fries would be stellar!!The service was the true star here... ?“
“Such a great spot! Oysters were super delicious, drinks were perfect, the staff was friendly and kind! Was not expecting such a steal on a Friday but here we are! We never come to china town either and now have a new reason too, as well as spotting a few other restaurants we're excited to try!“
“Excellent food & friendly, knowledgeable service. We asked for wine recommendations and they were all spot-on and delicious (and quite generous with the pours). If I had to choose one adjective for Davenport it might be "unaffected"--everything was done very well, without preciousness or pretense. Thanks for a lovely dinner, we'll definitely be back.“
“I was in town sort of visiting after helping move my daughter and her boyfriend to the Portland area. we randomly met the owner of this restaurant and thought we'd give it a try after seeing the menu online. Instantly loved the atmosphere as soon as we walked in to be seated!!! The waitstaff was friendly and awesome, than the food came and it was delicous and off the charts amazing!!! presentation, portion size and taste was perfect in my book. I loved it!!! Great experience!!!“
“We visited on a Sunday afternoon, so it was expected to be crowded, but we were able to get a seat. We ordered the Szechuan Wonton with Chilli Oil, Mapo Tofu with Ground Pork, Eggplant with Ground Pork, and Steamed Rice. Actually we were disappointed that our favorite Chinese restaurant was closed, but all the dishes here were delicious enough to rival it. The Mapo Tofu was the best I've ever had. I would love to try other dishes here as well.?04/14/2024We came here to try the other dishes because we enjoyed all of them last time. We had the Dumplings, House Special Garlic Pork Spare Ribs and Leek & Pork Dumplings this time. I personally didn't like the Dan Dan Noodles because the peanuts were too overpowering (so, actually Frank's is still my personal #1 choice yet). The spare ribs were salty and brought out the flavor of the ingredients, which my husband liked a lot, but I prefer them braised in soy sauce and tenderized, so the strong smell of pork was not good for me. The dumplings were delicious.?✨“
“Amazing!!!! If you love flavor and seafood this is it! Excellent prices for quality food. Service was friendly and I can't believe this place isn't packed because it should be. Quaint and inviting space to eat. Will be visiting again and again and again. Super delicious!“
“This was probably one of the best meals I've ever had during my time in Portland. And I've lived here my whole life. The smoked Halibut and cheese board did most of the heavy lifting in that respect. The cocktails were very tasty. The Brussel sprouts and the bread were also fantastic. The sturgeon was delicious, except that the lemon caper sauce was a little bit bland. The Caesar salad was meh, and the salmon that we got with the salad was ordered medium but arrived rare.Over-all, I'll definitely be coming back, i just probably won't be getting the salad.“
“The strak was tender and succulent. I had it medium rare. The wait staff was less than stellar and we waited for at least 30 minutes for a waiter after being seated. Not a good look. There may have been a mistake or a table assignment error. Once the waitress came she was great. The food was excellent as usual.“
“If you're contemplating which pasta might be best, get the Lamb pappardelle. It's one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had. There truly is nothing bad on the menu, but the tortellini e pesto is a good alternate. It's a really chill restaurant with decent service and great food. I was, however, slightly disappointed in the tiramisu. It just wasn't what I was looking for, and wasn't a classic tiramisu flavor that I was anticipating.“
“First and foremost the food was BEYOND DELICIOUS and the service was perfect. Not to mention they have vegetarian options which is really appreciated! Our waitress was helpful, kind, and attentive even though it was busy. You have to try their risotto!!!!“
“We stopped off at SeaSweets on a recent trip to Portland and hands down, they make the best poke bowls I've ever had. I am not easily impressed when it comes to seafood bowls, but SeaSweets has a very pleasant staff serving really high quality fish, delicious sauces, and toppings for days. Absolutely phenomenal.“
“Excellent. Sweet and sour chicken, chow mien, general tso chicken. One of the best I’ve ever had at a neighborhood Chinese restaurant. We ordered delivery and it came hot and packaged well. I’ve had Chinese in Seattle, Portland, and Paris. This one ranks highest for me.Nice work! Glad you’re in the hood!“
“We dined in. We had the light meals and there was plenty of food. I prefer small meals and still had enough to take some leftovers home. Staff was friendly, knowledgable of menu and service was great!Parking: Parking garage had plenty of space. Street parking depending on time is tighter. No issues parking with the garage right there.“
“We stopped here for lunch and loved it. Great fish tacos and a good margarita. We came back a second time for lunch and the food wasn't quite as good, but still a nice meal. We went for breakfast our last day in town and was not impressed. I'm told they're famous for their breakfast, so maybe we just made bad choices. I had the corned beef hash and it had very little flavor and was quite chewy. One of my poached eggs was good, the other overcooked. My husband had Sammy's scramble, which was mostly hash browns. Huge portions if that's a consideration, but I left most of mine. Might go back there again for the fish taco if I were in town.“
“Ordered the chicken sandwich and potato salad. Both were surprisingly complex and delicious. Guy at the window was friendly. The only seating here was benches outside so we took it to go since it was cold. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu! Everyone in my group loved it.“
“Best of the area, I would eat here everyday. This place has been a locals favorite for a long time. The staff for excellent and go beyond in many ways. They take good ingredients, prepare them well, and present them in a way that presents their best individual qualities.“
“2024 Update: Been here nine times now since 2022, & in that time we haven't been anywhere else more than twice, & also we live 25 mins away, & also we've been most everywhere else noteworthy in Portland. That we keep coming back here hopefully tells you how incredibly wonderful we think it is. It's like Banff and Jasper where, yeah we could go other places, but might as well keep coming back here til they stop being so much better than anything elseCurrently the salmon with saffron/cured garlic aioli and crispy potatoes and green garlic salsa verde is unbelievably good, easily one of the best things we've ever had, a lifetime memory we'll never forget. The type of thing you take a bite of and time slows down and a smile creeps onto your face and you just want to make the feeling last forever. And you say something like "aaah oh my god this is insane". But we expect to find something new like that every time we come, they always have at least 3-4 of the best things we've ever had on the menu at any given time no matter the season. I have this ranked 3rd overall only behind Nodoguro in Portland, which is 3x the price, & Robuchon in Vegas, which is 5x the price. Ahead of Kann, Langbaan, Tercet, Le Pigeon, Urdaneta, way ahead of Jacqueline, etc etc.--Update again: been here 5 or 6 times now and every single time it's Just Amazing. There're other places as good as this in Portland but all of them are twice the price (tercet, le pigeon, langbaan)--One of the best restaurants we've ever been to (#2 specifically), & the best in the PNW so far. So many interesting unique flavors, everything so creative and delicious. The scallops specifically were one of the best things I've ever had, also loved the octopus, the crab beignets, the root vegetable trio, the chocolate mousse. $75/person with 4 courses each.Update: Been here two more times and every time we come we have at least a couple new "one of the best things I've ever had" dishes. The new gnocchi with the belper knolle is about the most comforting thing I've ever had, the freakin burger is unreal. For the price, under $100 per person, I can't recommend any restaurant more highly than this“
“I actually dream about their crab in between visits. The large order is the perfect size for sharing and at an utterly reasonable price. The owner is a doll- a genuinely good person who will treat you right and feed you even better. The tables nearby have heaters in the winter and shade in the summer. Highly recommend!“
“After a long day of traveling, We stopped at Il Solito for a late dinner (conveniently located next to our hotel). My husband and I just split a couple of apps (meatballs and focaccia bread). It was absolutely amazing! The food was so fresh and flavorful. The wine recommendation for RJ, our waiter was perfect! Speaking of RJ, he provided top notch service. He was friendly, professional and extremely efficient. If dining at Il Solito I highly recommend asking to sit in his section! Well done Il Solito!“
“We recently dined for our Wedding Anniversary. I tasked my husband with selecting a spot we'd never been with great food and a casual atmosphere. While he would've happily taken me to an upscale establishment, we simply wanted to celebrate in a laid back way. He made reservations to sit in the bar and they were very accommodating. We ended up at the bar, which we prefer. The atmosphere is very unique with a lot of beautiful wood. The structure is what I think is an old house and includes quaint outdoor seating. Had the temp not been in the 90s, we would've definitely sat outside. The Bartender was friendly and helpful with menu selections. I enjoyed a martini and my husband chose wine. We began with crabcakes which were flawless! The Caesar salad was wonderful as well. It included more of the leafy part of the romaine where I prefer the hearts but small thing really. Our shared entree was Alaskan halibut which was prepared simply and beautifully. We were treated by the house to a small lava cake, topped with high quality vanilla ice cream and fresh berries and it was delightful! All in all, we would definitely return to Baird's on B. We could tell that many customers were regular locals and I can see why. What a cute place to be able to walk to. On a sidenote: a group of young ladies, under legal drinking age were seated at a table nearby and they ordered various mocktails. We watched the preparation and these drinks were works of art - including fresh muddled fruit. With a growing trend of adults choosing to forego alcohol, nice option!“
“Thank you so much to Kracked crab, and big props to Preston for giving me the best experience for my first time purchasing seafood boil. It smells as good as it tastes, definitely gonna be a repeat customer. Very approachable customer service, really timely service as well, and I love the beeper bc this place is pretty large so you can lose time easily, but the reminder beeper is an amazing feature. Thank you for the amazing, delicious grub??“
“Great service and amazing food! Cozy bar atmosphere and our server Malia was wonderful! She gave us great recommendations on our meals and drink suggestions. We had the Ruben with Onion Rings, Irish Stew and Fish &Chips! Coming back soon for sure! Thanks Malia & Clancy's for a great experience.“
“So Jarana is actually the kitchen inside of the bar, Lulu. It was a bit confusing when we first walked by and were trying to figure out where it was. We ordered the saltado with steak and the ceviche as well. The steak was soooo tender. The sauce had good umami flavor. The fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Rice had such a good seasoned flavor. I will think about this dish for a while. The ceviche was also really good. I loved the mango and passion fruit to add sweetness. I didn't expect fried fish and fish chicharrones. So yummy. It might be a bit pricey, but the food is SO good!“
“Only $18 for an all you can eat buffet from 11:30am-2:30pm! So,..no you won't get lamb, goat, or seafood. For that come in at 5:30. Wonderful food. Polite, attentive owner & staff. Nice background music. Simple but adequate furnishings. I sampled everything. Very authentic. Loved the curry vegitables and butter chicken.“
“This is a hidden gem that deserves a visit. The food is always fresh and it does have a full bar which is nice. We have eaten here or gotten it to go over 20 times and not been disappointed. Cindy the owner is present and ready to take care of you!“
“Just got my food, everything was so delicious! Beyond my expectations they went above and beyond. I greatly appreciate this establishment and the staff. I will definitely be returning here as a customer. I highly recommend this place, no disappointment here! Thank you again golden horse. ❤️?“
“WildFin is better than many restaurants at or near this price point in 2024. They have lovely service, a deep and locally rooted menu, with a pleasant dining atmosphere. There's a great mix of seafood offerings alongside classic American proteins. No matter who you are, you can probably find a dish here. This location features seasonal outdoor dining, though you basically face a noisy busy parking lot, unless you are over 21 you can enjoy their quirky indoor-outdoor bar setup.“
“I’m visiting from out of state, and want some seafood. Typed in seafood near me and Pacific Boil and lounge piped up. I drove there and was Greeted by a very nice young man behind the counter and he help my pick out the what I wanted and let me tell you I was not disappointed“
“Decided to check a new spot outside of our normal area and the Wild Hare did not disappoint. Stepping inside, we were greeted by a warm atmosphere, friendly staff, and the enticing aroma of home-cooked food. The menu features classic country fare, with everything made from scratch using fresh, local ingredients. From juicy steaks and golden fried onion rings and delectable homemade pies, there's something to satisfy every craving. The portions are generous, and the staff was very attentive. If you're looking for a delicious and heartwarming dining experience, this country restaurant is a must-visit.“
“I love City Thai soooo much!! Hands down my favorite Thai food in the city. Always good, always fresh, always smiling faces! I just got my 42nd order (just guessing) to-go and it's just as good as the first!! Do yourself a favor, and order the 'Oh My God Rolls' you can thank me later ;)“
“We enjoyed dining outdoors here. The bread and oil plate was great, with several varieties of bread. The pollo limone was fantastic and included roasted potatoes. I had the truffle pasta (seasonal special) and was surprised at the small serving size. It was tasty.“
“Best Place EVER! Have tried many Poke places in Portland and this is hands down amazing and all others are a disappointment! OWNERS; please don’t change anything bout your bowls. Quality of fish and different variations is awesome! The people you hire as well are all outgoing and I order here atleast 3 times a week! Anyone else complaining should try different options in reviews below your spice on spicy albacore is amazing! Thank you PLEASE DONT CHANGE A THANG!“
“This place was amazing. The staff were kind and checked in with us frequently. Food and drinks were so good and amazing. Drinks were a great size as well. Saul was our waiter and he was so kind and did a great job. 10/10. Love this place. Definitely coming back“
“Ordered via Uber, as I was hungry. Xiao long bao pork and mongolian beef.To start off, xia long bao was terrible... very doughy, and tasteless. But then... the mongolian beef..This was good. Flavourfull, tender, bit too much onion, but I like it. Slightly spicy, gimme more!!! Definitely will try more from their menu.“
“Hello everyone,My mom had her birthday 2 weeks ago, and she picked out this place to have a celebration dinner with me and a family friend. The servers did an amazing job and were very kind and pleasant. The atmosphere and esthetic were amazing, complete with very mellow music in the background. The food was to die for. I recommend this place to anyone who is craving Chinese sea food cuisine. Will totally come back again and bring a friend.Sincerely, a happy customer.??“
“Perfect place for lunch. Took the kids to OMSI and it was a 5 minute walk to get great pizza While sitting in a train car. The kids loved watching the trains and busses come by. My wife and I liked the beer options. Service was really great. Delivered the food to the table quickly and they were keeping an eye out to collect our plates when we were done. We will be back for sure. Thanks for the great meal! Also there is a free train museum across the street.“
“This is a great place for an anniversary or celebration to have a steak. Amazing cocktails, perfect medium rare every time, killer old school vibe. There is a certain smell in Jake’s that’s nostalgic and classic. Hard to explain but you’ll love it if you’re into the old fashioned and a filet mignon dinner. They even make a great smoked old fashioned right at your table. The building is an amazing older American style building.“
“I've always enjoyed this place. I've come here explicitly on special occasions. The view is gorgeous especially on a spring early afternoon when the sun is just right. The service is fantastic with what seems to be the right level of revisiting to be helpful and non-suffocating.Food looked wonderful and tasted good. I'm still trying to give fish tacos a chance but it isn't working out. I'll need to keep looking for the fish taco for me. But the cider-esque beverage I ordered was crisp and refreshing. My lobster bisque was different but flavourful. I'll need something in the future to dull a bit of said flavor, it was a little much for me but still quite an experience! The meal others had looked amazing and worth trying!“
“The food was delicious, and the service was top-notch. I had the Spanish Octopus AKA Pulpo. The octopus was amazing. I also had the salmon and topped it off with chocolate stout cake with villa ice cream. The salmon was ok. The dessert was delicious.Parking: 10.00 parking structure. It's a quick five min walk.“
“An impressive view of the entire city, exquisite food accompanied by excellent service with background music that encourages you to stay in the place, if you want to live a relaxed experience and enjoy the city...it is the appropriate place, either with family or with your partner.Parking: They stamp your ticket when paying the bill.Kid-friendliness: There are different environments where you can share with the family.“
“Fabulous atmosphere, a unique interior design which features a beautiful bar layout that harkens to a modern take on a synthesis of classic British pubs. (Polished woodwork, brass, and decorative glass accents.) Attentive service, wonderfully prepared food for almost any palette. Fairly adequate parking as well, but it may be wise to bring either a compact or midsized car to be sure there is adequate egress from your vehicle.“
“I met a brother and his grandson for lunch. The building is nice with an Adirondack feel (but wrong end of the country). They have various lunch options at tiered prices. Two of us had half sandwiches with a cup of potato cheese soup. It was very good. I was also pleased that they had Heineken 0.0 which is one of the better na beers.“
