“DOG FRIENDLY! It’s a brewery in a warehouse so, while I WISH the menu was better, they’re probably very limited on what they can do. The vibes are cool - it can get extremely busy fast after 4:30pm and can be loud from the warehouse echo space. I’ve brought friends who said they were overstimulated. Sometimes they have trivia which is fun. You can reserve axe-throwing from a 3rd party which is also fun. They offer beer and wine.“

“I got delivery so can't speak to service... But THIS is what a proper pizza delivery should look and taste like!! For those who remember, this pizza is so much like what Round Table was like back in the 80s (lol, yes, I'm that old), and that pizza was my standard my whole life for a good, toppings-led pizza (and Round Table isn't that anymore).
Quality pizza, fair prices. My go-to now since I moved to Sherwood.

Notes: I took off 1 star for service bcz delivery didn't have cheese/pepper packets on tap to bring with the pizza (bcz you always forget that part, right??), but I'm doing 4 stars for bcz he literally went back and scraped 3 cheese packs out of his car for me.“

“Las 4 Lunas has a nice dining area that is neat and clean. Guests order at the counter, open seating. The menu has plenty of options, food is exceptional and authentic. The sauces are amazing! If you like Menudo, it's available on Friday and Saturday. If you're a fan of lingua (beef tongue), that's on the menu too. There's food to go, a drive through window, and delivery choices to use. Finally, I've eaten at Las 4 Lunas many times.... the food is always delicious and consistent. Just go to their website and check out the photos of the food! “The food and flavors at Dolly Olive were so unique in a good way. Items are served family style and meant to be shared with the recommendation of 2 dishes per person which seems about right. We left feeling satisfied and full but not overstuffed.

We ordered everything at the same time, and the kitchen delivered the dishes at appropriate times. We were served the warm, marinated olives and Dolly Caesar Salad at the same time, and both were very delicious. The Caesar salad has some twists to the traditional Caesar that worked well and was not heavy at all. Next up were the mushroom ravioli with a lemon sauce that was divine, and raviolis that had a great balance of pasta to mushroom filling. Our 4th dish was the eggplant parmigiana, and it may be the best version of this dish we’ve ever had. We were trying to figure out how they got the flavors so deep and smoky from the cheese to the eggplant and the marinara sauce. Our last savory dish was the crispy chicken confit which was bursting with such different textures and flavors that one wouldn’t think would go together, but they do.

After looking at the dessert menu, we decided to split the cannoli which was plentiful for 2 people. Similar to the salad, it wasn’t a traditional cannoli. The shell seemed more of an Asian eggroll shell, and we couldn’t figure out the underlying flavor in the chocolate filling. When we got a bit of the shell, filling, and caramel topping in one bite — oh my how good.

The service was very attentive as we had a main server, but it seems the entire front of the house staff ensures efficient (but not rushed) service. Our food was delivered by 4 different people other than our main server, and we had a 4th person clean our table after our ‘mains’ and before dessert. Everyone seemed focused on ensuring we had a great experience and enjoyed every bite.

“Anyone can seemingly make sushi seem better by making it more complex, but the real test is whether they can take the simple and make it excellent. Sushi-Ki-ichi does just that. They stick to the simple offerings, leading to an experience that feels less Americanized than other Japanese restaurants. That's not to say I don't love some level of creativity, but you don't need it here. That's because the family that owns Sushi Ki-ichi wants to create an authentic meal - a notion that was confirmed for sure when we had a conversation with the owner. In fact, they take quality to the next level with their equipment and efforts they take to make sure that what they serve is the highest quality, including specific freezers for the fish. We didn't try Sushi Ki-ichi for the first couple of years because we figured that the previous restaurant, a Chinese buffet that had gone downhill and fallen off the cliff, had rebranded and reopened as something new. Now I feel that for those first couple of years, we missed out. This has quickly become my favorite place in Portland. I look forward to any trips I take across town from Vancouver to Tigard, and make a point to stop in and grab a bite.“

Nothing is hidden or muddled; the recipe is full bodied, served insanely quick, and with the hospitality of an old friend you haven't seen in years (big shoutout to one-man army Mr. Makoto Yoshino). If you're a veteran that's ever been stationed in Japan, pair this up with Jinro and a Page 11 and it's like you're back in Oki! “The husband and I were on a ramen rampage, and the weather was our perfect excuse. Then, out of nowhere, we stumbled upon this restaurant. The service was spot-on, the food arrived in record time, and that ramen? Sheer perfection. The broth was a flavor bomb, the chashu was tender and divine, and those noodles? Freshly made and sublime. We left feeling like we just discovered ramen nirvana.“
