“Biscuits have always been pretty good. The West Linn Biscuits Meat Lovers Omelet was loaded vs the OC Biscuits. But the OC is also very good. Just noticed it was better at this location. Always depends on the cook on duty. The biscuits were soft and dreamy, bacon crisp just like we asked. Overall a very nice breakfast!Service could have been slightly better with coffee (asked twice) and getting us the bill quickly after we said no to extra coffee and asked for to-go box. But still not bad service by no means, just could be a tad more quicker. We will definitely come back here.“
“Any and all waffles you could get will be amazing, the wait for food is worth it. So if you come to this perfect hole in the wall for a quick bite? That may be a hit or miss.. This homey spot will fill you up and have you keep coming back for more.“
“10/10, honestly best breakfast I’ve had in Portland so far! Perfect brisket hash with peppers, amazing biscuit with jam (better than the big bfast places here) and to top it all off this place is cheap! Amazing work folks, you’re killing it. I’ll definitely be back!“
“Best blueberry muffin I’ve ever had! Delicious breakfast sandwich with free drip coffee, and a very friendly Nana. Vegetarians: when I said I didn’t want meat on my sandwich, she offered tomato instead which I thought was a nice touch! So lucky to have this spot in the neighborhood.“
“Had the cheese matcha and it is the best in the game!! Super high quality matcha, not too much ice and the cheese topping adding just the perfect amount of savory creamy goodness to the drink. Favorite matcha place in all of Portland and the metro area!“
“Small wait was worth it. Homestyle delicious food. They truly know how to make a good egg. Tyler is an excellent waiter to top it off. Both times we left full plus leftovers. We're going back!Next time I might have to have one of those humongous hollandaise covered omelettes! The biscuits and gravy are delicious. They have lunch and other things too.“
“the owners are incredibly friendly and accomidating aswell as just so wholesome and the shop always manages to give off a homey feeling the drinks are very good and made with care and the food and sweets they make are so delicious with different options every day and their sandwiches are to die for although you may have to wait a little bit since they make it fresh for you but the wait isnt too long the not to mention the prices arent gonna hurt the wallet too much the shop also sells some other items from outside vendors if im understanding correctly overall this cafe is a wonderful place and has become a favorite of mine aswell as my fiance i reccomend this place to anyone and everyoneParking: a few spots up front and more parking in the backKid-friendliness: plenty of good options of drinks sweets and foods perfect for kids and adultsWheelchair accessibility: the door is at ground level but the door isnt automatic but does stay open when opened“
“This place is fantastic. This was our first visit. The customer ahead of us was giddy to recommend their house made vanilla syrup for our coffee drink and the “wicked awesome” sandwich. We aren’t vegetarians but he was so insistent that we changed our order to a vanilla latte ( which was divine) and the recommended sandwich. Service was efficient and friendly. The sandwich was a generous serving with a lot of flavor. It managed to avoid being dry without being greasy. 10/10 would do again.Vegetarian options: Plenty to choose from for the veggie friendly crowd.“
“I've only been here twice but each time was such a good experience, I can't wait to go back! Excellent food with rotating specialties, kind and affable staff and delicious coffee. You wouldn't think it would feel as nice as it does looking on the outside (the space used to be a Starbucks) but it is quite pleasant! I highly recommend checking it out. I am delightfully surprised each time I'm here!“
“Jenni's warmth is palpable and very authentic. She owns this warm and homely space where she is glad to share her moving story. I enjoyed delicious pastries with my friend as we enjoyed the cozy vibes. Please patronise Jenni's Sacred Grounds. I'm sure you'll love it, and love her. Bless her heart. Thank you for sharing your story, Jenni.“
“This is a priceless little secret in Sellwood! The food is so delicious. Fresh and fun. The staff are friendly and welcoming and very accommodating. It's very cute inside, but prepare to wait during prime times. Was there today for the first time. I'll be back“
“The Caprese sandwhich is delectable! The pesto sauce they use on it tastes homemade; and if it’s not, well it fooled me. The coffee is also great and the vibe is super cute. I will definitely be back.Dietary restrictions: Alternative milk and vegetarian options.“
“Tried this place for the first time and we liked it! Inside is very new and clean, staff who helped us were very friendly and kind. I'm not sure if I would order what I ordered today, but there are many kind I want to try so we are definitely going back!“
“Best latte I've had in a while and it came with a little chocolate. They have a little market with meats, cheeses, and desserts. I think I got a couple of cookies that were gluten free, but I'm not sure and the friendly employee didn't seem to understand what I was asking. This place is worth a visit if you are in the area. It makes a great place to stock up for a picnic.“
“This is my current favorite coffee shop! I love the GF Brazilian Cheese waffles, as someone with Celiac, I am just so very happy to have these when I go to Nossa (please keep them forever!)!!!! My favorite beverage is the Golden Milk Latte. The staff are always so kind and helpful. A genuinely lovely atmosphere and super tasty beverages!“
“I love this place! It’s fast and convenient. You pay the same amount you would at a Starbucks/ popular chain but get wayy better quality and inventive foods/ drinks. Plus you’re supporting local! The owner is also very sweet. 100% recommend.“
“This wasn't what I was expecting, but it's clearly a nice local breakfast spot. We usually go to Original when we are on Barbur, but Hubs wanted a waffle, and Yelp recommended this spot. It's in a very tight strip mall that has 80's stainless signs that have seen better days. But walking in reminded me of La Provence in its original incarnation: when it was just a basic bistro with yellow walls and burgundy accents (in the 90's). The menu seems very much like Biscuits, including a scramble with spinach, onions, bacon and Parmesan. They are also one of the only restaurants (besides Biscuits) that has Chipotle Tabasco sauce, which is my favorite. My scramble was delicious. The Parmesan broiled on top was definitely a game changer! Hubs said it was a "damn good waffle" This place deserves to be busier, so do your thing, Yelp!“
“Tried Carnelian for the first time this morning and what a hidden gem! I had an iced orange mocha and was really happy to find out all of their flavors/syrups are housemade and organic. I'm not usually a fan of fruity flavors in espresso, but I was really impressed with how smooth and balanced my drink was. The atmosphere in the place is very warm and our barista was kind and patient while we decided our order. The food options are assorted pastries and bagels with shmear. Small tables available in the back room for getting work done and on a sunny day they have tables outside. Will be coming back here!“
“I really enjoyed the cool vibes of this coffeehouse. My cappuccino was good as well. The only thing missing for me was customer service. The staff wasn't very engaging, but if you just want to chill and grab a good coffee, this is a good spot.“
“What a lovely cafe this is. My husband and I came in for a very late brunch and had a fantastic time. The staff were kind and welcoming and the food was fantastic. Everything was just wonderful. I already can't wait to go back next weekend!“
“The staff, the amazing pastry selection, the house made lunch menu, the co and y booths are all 10/10. A real gathering spot for the neighborhood, Kelsey Lauren and the rest of the crew are just plain amazing. Check out the rotating featured artist too!“
“Friendly service as soon as you walk in. They made you feel so welcome. We also got to sign the Guest book. The food was so very delicious. Even the prices were low. I got to take a picture of my son in front of the table where Bella and Charlie sat. I will recommend this place to everyone. Also get Bella's Cobbler. So so yummy!“
“I went here for the first time for a much needed play date with my other mom friend. It was wonderful to be able to sit and visit and have our babies be occupied with fun things to do. It was also great to be served wonderful coffee and my friend had a mimosa. I will definitely be visiting again, that 16oz white mocha with an extra shot was so good, I had two when I visited.Vegetarian options: They have a full separate menu, but I didn't really look at it.Kid-friendliness: There is a pretty big play area for kids with a ball pit and slide. They also have a play kitchen and play Stanley work bench for kids. Theirs also fun little toys for little babies as well. There's a small kids menu with breakfast items and lunch.“
“Took the husband out for birthday breakfast to W&G today. First time here and it won’t be the last. Best biscuits and gravy I’ve ever had. What a hidden gem. I’ve driven past it a bunch of times. Wonderful crew and awesome atmosphere. There were people playing cards, lots on computers and some having company meetings. Great mesh of people.“
“I enjoyed both my cappuccino and my breakfast muffin sandwich with sausage. There are two very comfortable rattan chairs to sit and enjoy. Friendly and prompt service, and friendly regulars as well. A nice place.Vegetarian options: Breakfast sandwich with egg and cheese.“
“One of the best eateries in the OHSU waterfront area. Their specials are amazing, their baked goods are made fresh everyday and extremely tasty, their prices are very reasonable, soup and sandwiches are good (I've had their turkey sandwich many times), and their staff are very friendly, kind, professional, and on top of things. I've never had a bad experience here, and eaten here many times. They're always happy to see you, and you can tell they feed lots of comfort food to tired students, doctors, nurses, patients, and other staff. Just a great place, and if you're down by the Tram, do stop in and get something, as it's well worth it. It can be a bit busy around noon, so best time to come in is before or after the lunch rush. However even if there's a line, their staff is so on top of things that the line moves very fast, so it's hardly a wait at all. If you want a good breakfast, I recommend the Tram Eggs. Don't forget to ask for a side of jam and butter for your toast. They make their jam in house, and Idk if they add a splash of wine to it or what, but it tastes amazing.“
“Sweet, pun intended, little Saturday pop-up shop attached to the Brooklyn neighborhood’s new production bakery, Flour Market. They freshly bake and serve up delicious breads, pastry, cookies and delicious cold-brew coffee. As the world returns to normal I believe they’ll be open more often for walk-ups during the week but for now it’s easy to pre-order through their website, FB or IG accounts. You’ll be more than glad you did.“
“The food is delish and the atmosphere is great. The crew is incredibly kind, caring and support live music. I would recommend this place for a bite to eat, catch up with old friends, listen to live music and have a drink. Great service and food!“
“We were in the area for my son's Judo tournament at PCC, so we decided to take a stroll down memory lane. My in-laws used to bring my husband here when he was growing up. My in-laws also frequented here when they were dating. It brought back a lot of memories since the passing of my MIL in February. The food was great and very plentiful. I ordered the lasagna and had leftovers. My son ordered the spaghetti and marinara with meatballs and had leftovers. Basically, we all had leftovers! If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely stop back in.“
“WOWZA!!! I just bought lunch and I am so happy I found this place!! The food was so delicious I thought I was back in Maui again. I would rate 1,000 stars if I could. Absolutely amazing!! Ohana Hawaiian Cafe is #1!!!Wow wow wow!! I’m speechless, can you tell?Parking: Easy! No sweat!Kid-friendliness: Take your kiddos, they’d love it too.Wheelchair accessibility: Super easy and flat area. I would think a wheelchair would be able to get inside without having any issues. It is worth it.“
“I ordered a salmon rice ball (forgot to take photo) and a strawberry matcha latte with boba ? the salmon rice ball was super good and I immediately wished I had ordered two. The matcha is wonderful as well! Ordered it half sweet and it was perfect to me, I would imagine full sweetness would be more like a dessert to me. You can tell the tea they use it's high quality. The staff are also very friendly and knowledgeable about the product“
“Today, simply looking for a change of pace, decided to try the Hello Cafe for my post-morning walk breakfast. It was a great choice! I had a breakfast bagel, with egg, bacon & sausage, and it tasted every bit as good as it looked! And filling as well, the bagel was toasted just right and the bacon was just the right amount of crispy....absolutely delicious!I drink black coffee only, and the cup that I was served was just perfect ! Hands down the best tasting coffee in Milwaukie, I don't know and didn't ask what blend it was, but it was not overly strong like most major chains serve, but just right, a delightful morning eye-opener!As to the service, three words come to mind: courteous, helpful, friendly, and kind ! Yes, that's four words, but I can't say enough about how nice the folks are who run Hello Cafe !I look forward to returning and trying the rest of the menu!“
“I'm in town for work and was so happy when I found out that they had a black rock coffee bar as I found this company while i was working in texas and most definitely prefer it over other companies. This location has great customer service.“
“This is one of my favorite places to eat, if you want a recommendation I highly suggest the saute udon with beef (they have vegetarian options if needed). It is amazing, and they are always nice, and take the time to make pretty much everything fresh.“
“Love this local spot! They use the best chai (Dragonfly) and have both spicy and sweet options - or ask them to mix it like I do for the perfect balance. Great vibe, amazing baristas who have turned my day around several times, delicious gluten free treat options. Plus they support the local community in so many ways and have handmade gifts for sale as well!“
“My partner and I enjoyed a cocktail and dessert at Bar Carlo. The staff was very thoughtful, the space was open and really enjoyable to be in - for a date especially, and the cocktails were well made. (We didn't have dinner, so I didn't score the food, but the Secret Dessert was tasty).“
“We had a lovely evening meal and would highly recommend this restaurant to others. The service was excellent, friendly and attentive and our food was delicious. My first choice (the pie) was unavailable but the pasta dish I selected instead was a great choice. All tables were full and there was a buzz and perfect ambience inside.“
“Only place in Portland that I’ve found to have Vietnamese egg coffee. After a recent to Hanoi I’ve been scouring the city and burbs to find my newest addiction. That’s right, egg coffee! The kids here were very friendly and served me a fantastic dose of this wonderful, if rare, drink.I recommend ordering it with black coffee for the real northern Vietnamese version. Sooooo good!“
“Wife and I tried this place recently for the first time and was pleasantly impressed with the quality and service of the restaurant. We went on a weekend and were able to get a table without a reservation. Granted we arrived 2 hours before closing so that might have helped. Either way, we had a nice meal. We will definitely make another trip here again!“
“This is a quaint, little, unassuming place to eat. If my friend didn't take me here, I wouldn't have noticed it at all! But it's got a nice view of the river, pretty clean, and quick service. Nice owners, and the cook was really good. Definitely worth grabbing a quick bite when you're in a crunch!“
“I purchased 2 pastries and the white mocha raspberry on ice. Both were absolutely delightful. I admit I ate the almond pastry first, and needed a box for the second. The Marion berry was delicious later as dessert. The service was very courteous and kind.“
“I can always count on a perfect cup of coffee (OK, an almond mocha), and they usually remember what I drink when I visit. A nice personal touch. The sausage, egg, and cheese biscuits are delicious.Parking: Zombie Coffee is primarily drive-thru, but there are enough parking spots if you'd rather do walk up and sit at the picnic table.“
“I come here 2-3x per week before heading to work. I have come to love the cozy and friendly atmosphere of this coffee shop. All of the staff are kind (Morgan and yasasphanie *sorry if I misspelled that* make great drinks!) I personally love getting a lavender matcha latte + one of their assortments of bread loafs. If you can get the pumpkin or blueberry, have it warmed up *cue drool*“
“The kids who work there are a hoot. The atmosphere and decor is obviously invested in and they have a lot of dietary-friendly options too. They change the decorations every season and make a mean aloe juice.Vegetarian options: If you let the barista know they'll help guide ya around milk. No meat in the teas. Lol.“
“Such great wraps and sandwiches! This has become my go-to spot for picking up lunch. This is a tiny little kiosque-style cafe in the middle of a large office building. The service is excellent! They have always been efficient and prompt. Highly recommend.“
“I knew their coffee was top notch from drive thru. (Superior IMHO to green twin tailed siren coffee, for sure.) But I now meet with friends inside, and it's a great welcoming space for conversation. And much praise for the always cordial staff. My one tiny wish for improvement -- get some ceramic mugs. Better tasting and experience than paper.“
“Review update after 6 years:Still a great place to get coffee in the area! The place has really transformed over the years. The staff has always been friendly and professional. Their coffee is pretty good here, love me a latte. For food items, I actually reallyyy love their El Guapo Burrito and it's usually stuffed with bacon, creamy eggs, cheese, and this oh so good creamy sauce.6 years ago:Very friendly staff and great coffee. They also have bendy straws“
