“We were at Humble Spirit last night and were blown away by our meal . We started with the meatballs and veggie platter, we had the pasta, chicken and the daily special of duck. Every one of the meals was absolutely divine !! The pasta is by far one of the best pasta dishes I have ever eaten. I highly recommend you try Humble Spirit !“

In fact, my friend and I loved it so much that we had lunch here twice during our trip. The corn chowder was absolutely fantastic—so creamy with just the right amount of seasoning. My friend enjoyed the ½ Turkey Sandwich, while I devoured the Chicken Cashew Salad, which was fresh and delicious. Just stopped in tonight for a couple burgers but really felt like staying and having a few drinks with the friendly patrons who were having a great time there. Looks like there is live music available as well!

“Berts chuckwagon is some of the better barbecue we have around here. Trouble is in the northwest we just don’t have a lot of barbecue. I feel like the sides are what really shine. His ribs are good. They do it smoked style but they are pretty tough and dry and that’s what happens when you smoke ribs. Mine are like 10 times better in the oven and so juicy they fall off the bone. He’s a nice guy and the prices are moderate for what they offer portions are pretty generous. I’ve eaten here multiple times when I didn’t feel like cooking. Will probably come back again. But I do prefer to make my own barbecue over berts.“

“It was so fun to go back in the Pirate’s Den. Thanks to all those who are keeping that small-town staple going. I got the breakfast burrito and cinnamon roll. I liked the large amount of cheese on the burrito. I wish it would have come with some salsa because the potatoes were a little dry by 9:30 am. The cinnamon roll icing and filling were great and I liked the to-go style packaging.“

The Capt. Neon Burger shows up looking unapologetically hearty. A soft, lightly toasted bun cradles a thick, juicy beef patty cooked to a satisfying char on the outside while staying tender inside.
