“I have loved Allenberry for years, but as of today (July 26 2025) I’m wondering if you switched restaurant managers or head chefs? We just had the strangest menu selections and did you change the interior of the Barn? It was perfect the way it was. You offer Chilean sea bass but the breeches is filled with trout yet don’t offer it? I can hear Gordon Ramseys voice in my head asking you guys why you don’t have something local and fresh. I’m no connoisseur, but meat/poultry/fish is best when sourced locally. A bit disappointed by this last visit. Will be back, because you’re a staple, but maybe not the time after next. We’ll see.“

“Today my daughter and I enjoyed the most delicious lunch at One 13 Social in downtown Carlisle. Small plates are elegant and perfect for lunch. Mine was Spoonbread Shrimp, extraordinarily creative flavors : salty olive tapanade, savory grilled shrimp, and sweet cornbread with honey butter. New to their terrific menu, hope it stays!! I tip my hat to the chef.“

“Perfect for our anniversary dinner. The prime rib (Friday and Saturday only) has 3 cuts/ king, queen, and Molly Pitcher (which is the 8 to 10 oz cut.) The au jour was perfect and the mashed potatoes with gravy aa amazing. Quiet restaurant that accepts all dress codes...from casual to formal. no one feel out of place.“

“Stopped in Sunday after church. Parking lot was full but available seating inside. Really like the bright, open atmosphere and all the windows. Orders taken and food arrived promptly. The writer had the western omelet with home fries and toast. All of us were happy with our meals. We will be returning!“

“Wife and I went to John's Hideaway Restaurant for the first time on Saturday. I ordered the chipped beef over toast with hashbrowns. I have to say, it was the best darn chipped beef breakfast I ever had. It tastes like homemade, was nice and creamy, didn't need any extra seasoning. Well done!“

“This restaurant has been around for a while, my mother worked there as a cook back when I was a child. Although it has changed inside the food was excellent. I had salmon which was delicious.

“I frequent Johnny Joes. And I think people get the wrong idea about what kinda of bar Johnny Joes is. It isn’t your fancy pants bar, crazy mixologist, wild beers, life changing food. It is however a reliable place to always get consistent quality food and affordable drinks. It wouldn't hurt if they cleaned the bathrooms every once and awhile but it’s a great time otherwise. They have lottery tickets, pool tables, darts, PA skill machines and a TouchTunes. Sounds standard for a bar but it’s hard to find one this close to home anymore. Smoking is allowed as-well.

Parking: Pretty much unlimited parking. You could easily park a couple bobtails in the parking lot, even with the trailers attached they’d have space to move.“

“Ordered take out for 4 adults on Saturday evening. First time we ordered food from this establishment but we checked other reviews and decided to give it a try. . Excellent. We ordered a couple of some evening specials: 1/2 Rack of ribs with chicken and 2 sides; another night special, pork and kraut with mashed as side. I might add if those mashed were not home made, I want the name of them--delicious, others ordered a cheesesteak sub. and the roll was absolutely delicious., with onions and peppers, fries and also another of mozz sticks with marinara, plain cheeseburger and fries. Everything was delicious and order perfect and they said only 15-20 time for pick up. The only thing that could have been better is if the pork and kraut meal and the rib & chicken meal came with dinner rolls or garlic bread. But no biggie. Would highly recommend and the 4 adults who ordered for this meal have all said will definitely go back. Great Job Mays!!!“

Parking: It's a pull in parking lot, so once they are full it's hard to find adequate parking unless you park in the lot in front of the building across the street.“

It wasn’t until I saw a guy last week at three Pines who was telling me about your place and I said oh that’s right I forgot the name of that place I wanted to go there I was there one other time I live in Germantown Maryland he and I got into a conversation at three Pines how despicable it is that they have the audacity to charge for sides of blue cheese, or whatever sides they offer for their wings plus charge for celery I think it’s like $.50 but that’s crazy for every stock of celery. He’s making 10 bucks.Tawn runs a great bar and pardon me if I’m wrong but I think the lady that’s working there with him on this past Monday is her name is Nicole very kind very efficient works really hard I can think she’s new because she’s really trying to get her feet in for, but I can tell either way she’s great.I just want to see what you guys do a great all your food and I think it’s great. You have specials with your wings and you have beer specials. I love IPAs for only paying three dollars and was a deal! Young lady work in the kitchen works very hard I said hello to her and I could tell she puts her heart and soul into it to you my dear great job. I’m not a big fan of the smoking environment but I sit way down to the end of the bar to try to avoid the smoke. It’s not too bad it’s doable for me not my favorite thing but everything else is great. Thank you very much for everything. Love your food. Can’t wait to go back up there next time I’m fishing.“

“I’m here visiting and I was looking for a food spot nearby and came across Beezy’s soul food not to mention. The customer service was amazing but I just made it home and the food is amazing from the yams to the collard greens barbecue chicken fall right off the bone everything was a 10 out of 10“

Hubby had fish and chips and he liked them. The service was good. Atmosphere outside was fine. Only complaint was that the street is super busy so it can be loud, but nothing the bar can do about that.“

“My Husband and I had a wonderful experience today thanks to our waitress, Kiki, and the store manager, Michelle. They were both so kind and welcoming to my family. Our son, who has autism, became overstimulated during our visit, and instead of making us feel uncomfortable, they stood by us with so much patience and reassurance. They told us not to worry, which truly meant a lot. I got emotional because being in public can sometimes be difficult, but they made sure we felt it was completely OK. The service was excellent our food was delicious, everything came out promptly, and they were quick to bring us to-go containers when we needed them. I can’t thank Kiki and Michelle enough for their compassion and outstanding service. They made this dining experience special for us, and we will definitely be coming back!“

“We were a little nervous driving in not knowing if it would be weird to stop in for food and boy were we happy we went! The pickleback wings are phenomenal and Friday was $1 wings all day. All of the food and dressings were fresh and craft. Friendly, attentive service and great prices. Make the stop off the turnpike. You won’t regret it!“
