“The Goldfish are addictive, and the cocktails always impeccable. This place specializes in perfectly balanced long drinks, in particular cocktails mixed in Mason jars, such as their perfect classic mojito. We've been coming for years; it's a mandatory visit every time we're in Montreal. In fact, they inspired a major part of our cocktail program at our own cocktail bar (RIP This End Up). I hope La Distillerie lives on forever. Chin chin!!!

“Le milky way est un magnifique endroit avec une bonne ambiance pour terminer une soirée entre amis. J’ai commander le drink Preach’s peach pour sa composition et le magnifique verre annoncé sur le menu (flamingo). Malheureusement, le drink n’a pas été servi dans le verre tant attendu. Dans ce genre d’endroit, la présentation fait toute la différence pour justifier un cocktail à 25$. J’aurais apprécier qu’on me renseigne que le verre n’était pas disponible ce soir-là. J’aurais probablement opter vers un autre cocktail à un prix plus modeste. Ceci dit, le goût était bon. Nous ne recommandons pas les spritz sans alcool qui sont à notre goût fade et simplement amer. Un ajout de sirop simple pourrait probablement balancer l’amerture de ce drink qui est normalement délicieux avec du mousseux, bien entendu. Pour terminer, le cocktail bleu dont je ne me souvient plus le nom était le highlight de la soirée. Je retournerais au MilkyWay pour retenter l’expérience :) Au plaisir,“

Je regrette cependant qu'à peine avoir payé la facture, on nous ai demandé de quitter car il y avait un soi-disant line up (inexistant), et d'autres tables libres autour de nous. “I have to give the food a 5 star. Honestly I went to Names at the beginning of the summer and I haven't stopped raving about how great it was. We had the entrecôte, osso bucco, Asparagus and a few more appetizers. We also order two bottles of wine and it came up to around 350$. We found that to be a great price since we were a group of three people. The ambiance was really cool, very much a neighbourhood vibe. It's a great place to bring friends or family visiting the city! Can't wait to go back ?“

“Described by many as grimy and sweaty but always in a good way! Good place to go if you want to just see live music but don’t care about how good it is. Definitely will have music and that is a guarantee. One time they got mad at me because I played with the dj set but to be fair the dj literally let me so I don’t really understand what the problem is also I didn’t like break it or anything idk maybe they just hate to see women succeed but not to fear guys! My friend said he’d let me play with his dj set so you may be seeing me very soon as montreals new hit dj! This city definitely need more of those!!“

The service was perfect (a special thank you to Simone and Arthur for the evening as well as to Gabrielle for the organization)?The food was delicious; seasonal vegetables, burrata, salad, tartare, paella. “It can be a quiet intimate place or crowded. It really depends on the night and if there is a big event in town. The bar tenders are hysterical. Sylvain and Johanne have been there for a long time and they always remember us when we come back which is once a year. The drinks and service are excellent. We started with the takoyaki, and it was absolutely delicious. The dough was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, filled with just the right amount of tender octopus. The flavor was rich and well-balanced, making it one of the best takoyaki dishes I’ve had.

The sushi was equally impressive, fresh, and expertly prepared, but it was the overall experience — the service, the food, and the design — that made it truly memorable. I’ll definitely be returning soon!“

“Finally got to check this spot out in the summer after hearing much hype. It's difficult to gauge if it lived up to it just because of how much hype there was, but if not it came close. This place has a unique location as it is placed in the middle of a residential neighborhood. The elongated layout allows it to fit into the grid while allowing a fairly large capacity across the two rooms. Riverside doesn't bother with a house cocktail menu, but the bartenders are skilled with any of your classic cocktails you enjoy. The prices are about where you'd expect them to be at such an establishment. This place maintains a presentable atmosphere and is overall a great place to mingle. That being said, expect a congested crowd in peak hours. See you next summer, Riverside!“

“It deserves a 5 stars but I only gave 4 due to the fact that when you use the tip % suggestions at the payment terminal, it applies the % on the amount after tax, which is illegal in Québec since may 2025. I called the day after and left a message to the person responsible for the restaurants at the Ritz but never got a call-back. While it is no big deal, it is a bit disappointing that such a prestigious institution would not comply with the law. Update: Someone did call me after my review and explained the technical glitch that they experienced for a short period and that it was solved.“

“I would highly recommend Brasserie Milton! We had some great meals on our trip to Montreal but, we went back for a second night because Stephan was the best. He was our waiter and it was clear that he loved his job! His recommendations were spot on and we really enjoyed the food. You should try the seafood linguini or lamb shank. It doesn't disappoint. Great jukebox selection, decent beer, met 2 different dogs (doesn't get much better than stroking dogs in a bar) and the staff are exactly like every server we've come across in Metal bars around the world - friendly and approachable. We've had the best time in Piranha Bar, highly recommended.“
