Still, the Cuban sandwich is my personal favorite. Nothing beats it, especially when the bread is fresh made in-house. “Great experience! The cupcakes are delicious. My favorites are the ones with cream cheese icing because I love cream cheese, but all were scrumptious! When I went last weekend, she had a strawberry cake with cream cheese icing that I wanted, but I was already getting one of every cupcake she had, so it would have been too much for us. However, if she has another one next time I go, I will get it. I have informed my husband that I want that kind of cake for my birthday, so maybe he'll try to order one for me. She has the best chocolate chip cookies, too! She came up with her recipe after repeated tries to please her husband until he was finally satisfied. Her efforts paid off. “I ordered a king cake from VG’s, and it was excellent. You can order it with different fillings and it was an authentic cake with the beads and other decorations on the cake.Also had the baby of course.My wife is in the hospital at the time and so I ordered a baby king cake which only comes in cinnamon for one of her nurses.in the past we have had different cookies breads and other treats and I’ve never been disappointed with the quality or taste.“

“This is a "trendy" place to hang out, have coffee/tea/etc and also a bakery item to eat. They have a large in-house bakery and their items look great, however, they bake everything too long. Everything is overdone, dry and crunchy instead of soft and moist. They don't have any normal drinks like soda or even plain water. It is all sparkling this or hibiscus or elderberry, etc. Outside seating is nice but inside they have large tables to share. People were placing personal items on the table to save the seat for their friends who weren't there so they can hang out. Don't go here for breakfast unless you just want to hang out or feel like you are going to a cool place (except the cool people here are pretty weird, not cool).“

Plenty of customers were in there and I made a relatively small purchase but all the workers I encountered really interacted well with me and gave good recommendations and were very nice. We are especially fond of the oatmeal cream pies and the buttermilk coconut pie. We met 30 years ago this week, and both ordered coconut pie that night at Peterson’s in Mount Adams in Cincinnati. To celebrate, I ordered a coconut pie from BYL, and it is so so good, and made our celebration special! “This is a cookie store to make your mouth water. They have just recently opened in Knoxville near West Town Mall (in the same strip mall as Firebirds). They have huge cookies over an inch thick and about as big as a burger in diameter. They have a wide range of flavors and most cookies are about $5.00 each, with discounts for quantities. I had the chocolate chip cookie, and it was delicious. When I went, there was not a line, but when I first noticed they were open the line wrapped down one side of the building. The service was excellent and they greeted me politely and asked me to be sure and come back. This is the place to fulfill your sweet tooth cravings. Even though it meant driving 45 minutes, the idea of gifting these themed boxes really made me happy.But when I got there, turns out they didn’t have the special boxes anymore, which was a bummer. Thankfully, Emily, the staff member there, was super nice and professional. She put together a beautiful box of macarons for me. They looked fancy and tasted delicious.“
