“This little joint has been an East Dallas treasure for some time. When you think of mom's home made breakfast. Best describes Gold Rush, from the fluffiest pancakes which IMHO is their clame to fame. I might order a tradional fried egg and bacon breakfast, but bet your bottom dollar it's coming with a short stack of pancakes. As you imagine the tastiest ham slice. remember that they do lunch. fall apart pot roast, hamburgers will not disappoint, chicken fried steak, why not have an omelet for brunch, they'll do it just right. It's not a big place in any way. You get there and you see an empty table go ahead and seat yourself. if there's a short line. you might have to stand between 5 and 8 minutes but everyone in line is cordial. when guests leave their table, grab it, even if it hasn't been cleared off very shortly someone will come by a cleaned your table. while you wait hopefully a member of staff already given you a menu. Be ready when someone takes your order. and the place can be hopping. Give it a shot, I'm sure you will find your visit enjoyable and the food done right.“

From the shish kabob to the hummus to the rice and fried cauliflower and lamb meatball and even the baklava with ice cream suggested by our waitress, we fell in love with a new authentic Turkish restaurant! “The open concept makes it a little noisy, even though it wasn't a full house. Perhaps some carpets around would help. It was also way too cold. The hostess had on a big sweater, so this must be a common occurrence. Food was good, if a bit pricey, but fries came out less than hot. The service seemed to lag and dessert wasn't offered.“

“Afternoon tea at NM Cafe in Neiman Marcus at Northpark Center was very nice. The service from Sharon was amazing and the teas were delicious. The sandwiches were good, although a bit under seasoned. The chocolate croissant was delicious but the scones were very small although the real clotted cream was nice. The sweets we not bad but there were too many macarons which were not to our liking. Overall, I give it a 4.5/5“

I had the Goldie and added a shot of espresso- literal perfection! Only downside- sitting outside can be hot and the flies were aggressive. Ask for a table fan! Wait staff was accommodating!“

We ordered two loaves of bread for my daughter’s birthday and simply asked for them to be cut. Instead, they took the time to get creative — warming the bread, adding the spread inside, cutting the rest into pieces and arranging everything beautifully around it.

They didn’t have to do any of that… but they did.

All of the flavors were well balanced. They also offer breakfast and lunch items. I went back the next day and ordered an iced Azteca mocha and an egg and cheese croissant. I added olives, red peppers and mushrooms. It tasted like it was made in my own kitchen and I could taste the love! They also offered salsa to go with it.
