“The duck salad was absolutely delicious and the lemongrass beef vermicelli too. Thai coffee is authentic hence you have to order it with you meal as it takes time for the coffee to drip into the cup below. By the time you finished your meal, your coffee would be ready. I would definitely recommend this place.“

“This place is great. The people that own It and run it are incredibly nice people. The meats are high quality and the bread is superb. We ordered 20 banh mi for a party. She has everything all together when we picked it up. Nicely wrapped and labeled. Everyone at the party loved the banh mi. It was the best that some of them had ever had. Mayo was spot on. meats had good flavor. The do chua has a crunch and tang that you want. All the flavors went well together. Try it out.“

“This was my first time here. My kiddos wanted PHO and I did not want to drive to SW area during traffic. I was a little skeptical about coming here. The actual business is located in a small shopping strip that looks a little rundown but to my pleasant surprise it was very clean inside the restaurant. The waitress was sweet and very attentive. It was pretty awesome that I was craving Asian Cajun crawfish and they actually have it for $8 a pound. It had decent flavor but on the sweet side of garlic butter. They did provide crawfish seasoning on the side for me to add. The crawfish sizes were mixed but mainly small in my opinion. They were fresh and tasty. The thit nuong gio cuon were HUGE! My kids liked the Vietnamese egg rolls and fish sauce. The kiddos gave 5/5 for the pho. I will definitely be back to try other dishes.“

“The shrimp and pork eggroll appetizer was fantastic. The perfect crunch and flavors made it very special. B1 and P2 soups are unforgettable. The pho broth is truly one of the best phos I've ever had. The garlic shrimp noodle is also very tasty. The noodles are perfectly cooked and flavored. My 4 year old loved it. My kids also enjoyed the fried catfish too. We will come back. What a gem of a restaurant!“

“This has been my go to Vietnamese sandwich place for like 10+ years. The people are nice and super efficient. My favorite sandwich is the steamed pork/xa xiu. Think of it like thinly sliced pork belly with added Asian flavors. The bread is a buttery and crisp French baguette. This is filled with pickled veggies. Their other food offerings taste homemade. No frills. Just tasty! Enjoy!“

“The name intrigued me so I asked where it came from and no one knew. Surprisingly to me that no one that works there would be curious enough to ask.Nothing new here except that it was done well.1. Garlic soy wings is classic and tasted as expected.2 egg rolls were decent.3. Veggie egg rolls is what I’ll order every time I come here. It was so good I thought they were lying about the veggies.4. I had the clay pot fish. I couldn’t taste the miso but it was reminiscent of a Thai dish in terms of the flavors. I enjoyed it.5. I stole 2 sips of the pho broth and what I tasted may have changed my mind of where the best pho is. The flavors felt deep and well rounded and consistency of the soup was more bone broth like than soupy. I’ll be ordering this next time to see if I was mistaken.Overall I enjoyed it and would return again to sample new things.“

“This place is awesome!!! The place was clean and staffs are kind. Pho was flavorful and delicious. There were a lot of meats in the pho. Their appetizers were great. Particularly, their spring roll was legit! I went Vietnam and ate spring-roll at there. It was great, too. However, this spring-roll was better than the real Vietnam's spring-roll. I will definitely come here again. ?“

“My boyfriend, my mom and I came here on a sunday after Chuch mass for a quick lunch before heading out. My boyfriend and I got to the restaurant first and were greeted by 2 servers and said we could take any seat available. We went to a long table available and mentioned that we would have 3 people so the waiter came back with an additional menu for my mom. She hadn't arrived yet so we ordered some chicken wings first to munch on since we were hungry. The chicken was juicy and crispy! I enjoyed the flavor but it was just salty, not really spicy like we had thought it would be. At some point, we ordered our entrees, I got the Bo Ne and my boyfriend got the macaroni beef. My mom still had not arrived yet (until 10 minutes later) and then we ordered another bo ne for her. Service is good and the 2 servers were quick to bring whatever guests needed in order to enjoy their food without too much delay. It was fairly busy at some point as the Sunday Lunch rush was picking up and luckily we finished and left after my mom was done eating just as a party of 6 came in to wait for a table. I would come back again as the food and service with both great! pricing is fair and good for groups. They can accommodate probably party of 8 or 10 but more may be alittle chaotic.“

“Not all noodle shops are the same. This is an authentic Vietnamese restaurant where good food and friendly service are priority! The owners treat you like their own family and friends. The meals are fresh and the flavors are authentic but also unique. As visitors from out of town, we left happy, satisfied, and wanting to return again! Thank you to the owners. They’re doing a wonderful job!“

“First off, I am a big fan of Roostar so I went in with some level of comparison in my mind... with that said, the banhmi is delicious. I got the crackling pork banh mi and it is actually crackling pork that's crispy. Friends and I also shared the fancy bulgogi fries and it was an addicting bite each time. They use the thin long french fries (think McDonald's style) in case it matters to anyone. The portion is quite big so it's definitely shareable as a side. The alphabet soup is a personal favorite of mine at Roostar and dare I say that I like this one more. The beef pieces are larger and overall has a more pho-like broth. Overall, this place is great. I live less than 5 minutes from here so it's much closer than Roostar for me. Love that there is a yummy banhmi/boba shop near me. It's always hard to find updated menus for small businesses without websites yet so hope the menus are helpful. The lunch specials are a great deal also (menu pictured).“

“Was craving some pho so we decided to try Old Saigon. The soup was delicious - I got the Old Saigon pho. The brisket was very tender and it was great with the vegetables added in. Lots of noodles! I also had the Thai tea and after the meal they gave two spoons with crème brûlée - nice touch! The Thai tea wasn't too sweet. It was perfect! The staff was very friendly and attentive. Nicely decorated inside and people kept coming in, even after 9pm!“

“This place makes geat pho and is very reasonably priced! Bright, clean happy interior in a lesser-maintained older building. The parking lot is a disaster...BUT!!The food? Gorgeous, fresh vegetables, excellent hot tea, very nice noodle bowls and great, smiling service!??Lots of pretty pictures of their offerings already, so I didn't take any.My vermicelli soup, with chicken and delicious 'shrimp balls' was outta sight.Recommended!!“

“The motif was a little too modern for my tastes. When eating traditional Vietnamese food, is it too much to ask that the atmosphere at least suggest the culture? The service was excellent and the food was decent, but I prefer culture over modern cuisine.“

“Stepping into Nguyen Kitchen, we were immediately struck by the freshness and flavor of every dish. The menu was a celebration of authentic Vietnamese cuisine, with each dish showcasing the perfect balance of spices and textures. Despite our attempts to capture the meal in photos, they simply don’t do justice to the vibrant flavors and colors we experienced. The service was remarkably quick and friendly, adding to the overall exceptional dining experience. It’s rare to find a place where both the food and service are outstanding, making this restaurant a true gem.For anyone looking for genuine Vietnamese flavors and a welcoming atmosphere, this is the place to be. Our visit was memorable, and I can tell you this is definitely the best Viet restaurant in Houston.“

The service was really good as well, for being my first time here I can’t wait to get back to tryouts some of the other items on the menu. “Is it the best banh mi in Houston? For my taste, probably not. The bread is crispy, I wish it to be a bit more airy. The vegetables used are shredded carrots, sliced cucumbers and cilantro (plus jalapeno for the heat). I did not taste any pickling with the carrots nor radishes. Of the sandwiches, I still prefer the special over the other selection. For banh mi fans, it is worth trying.“

“I moved to Katy 4 years ago, and had no idea this place existed. The lady said that they have been around for 15 years. The service is fast, friendly, efficient, helpful, and accommodating. The place was clean and cozy, but spacious enough to have enough privacy. The food was great. I had the phở tái nạm gầu (rare thinly sliced beef that cooks in the broth, lean brisket, and fatty brisket). My son had the phở chính (well done thinly sliced beef). My daughter had the cơm bò lúc lắc (shaken beef rice plate). The phở broth was aromatic and super clear. This is very hard to cook as it takes lots of timing and lots of attention if done right. If done incorrectly, it tastes bland. They nailed it 100%. The meat is extremely thin cut, which is the way I prefer my pho protein. The portions were huge. At first I thought that they didn't give me enough protein. 2/3 of the way through my bowl, I realized that I had just the right amount of meat. My son is a super picky eater when it comes to pho. He only eats at 1 spot on Bellaire which is a 30 minute drive away. He cleaned out his bowl and also mentioned that he would be returning in the future. My duaghter enjoyed her rice plate as well. She's not as picky, but she knows what she likes. She gave it 2 thumbs up. The shaken beef had that authentic smokey flavor which leads me to believe that it was cooked using a wok and not a skillet. I'm so happy we found this place.Parking: 5-6 reserved spots for Tan An directly in front of the restaurant. Plenty of parking throughout the spacious parking lot.Kid-friendliness: Lots of space. The staff took their time a d were patient as my daughter decided what she wanted to order.“

“I can't believe I still haven't wrote a review for Pho Sapa yet. This place is amazing, every time I was there, it is satisfying. The restaurant is clean, staff is friendly, their english is not very good but trying very hard to help you with your questions about food knowledge. My favorite dish is the big beef bone, I think it is a side dish which is about $5, it came in a huge bowl full of big big beef bones. The bones are flavorful, has good amount of meat on it and easy to peel off. I can never finish it and always bring it back to my dog. And my dog loves it too. Their signature item was the dry pho with soup on the side, it came with the special sauce to mix with the dry noodle, side veggies to make the dish more fulfilling.Pho is always great, their soup is clear, definitely brewed a long time not so much MSG taste in it because I don't have to drink so much water afterwards.Price is fair, very good place to have a nice inexpensive lunch or light dinner. Might have to go there early since they do run out of soup.Highly recommended.“

“The saying goes "if you want good Phở, you have to go to Chinatown." Well folks, I live 45 minutes away from Chinatown and I'm glad Pho Ben proved that expression wrong. The menu offers a wide variety of authentic Vietnamese food includes chả giò, gỏi cuốn, bánh mì, cơm dĩa, bún thịt nướng, mì, and phở with prices ranging from $5 - $12. The restaurant is located in the Heights with a modern feel and it's truly impressive that the prices are so reasonable.“

“This was our first visit to the restaurant and it did not disappoint. We were seated right away. The food was excellent and the service was great. I got the chicken curry and my husband got the crawfish and noodle dish. I cannot wait to recommend this restaurant to all our friends and bring family when they visit. Will definitely be back. The only non positive thing to mention is that the floors were extremely sticky near the tables. My shoes were audibly ripping away from the floors. Either they don't get cleaned well enough or too much soap is used.“

“We came here because the other restaurant we were planning on going to was closed. What an amazing find! I had the egg noodle and wonton with BBQ pork. It was delicious. My husband ordered the goat stew. He said the flavor was great, but the meat was a bit gamey. We also ordered the Vietnamese Imperial rolls which were so good and different. Then we had Chinese egg rolls which were huge and so hot (not spicey). You could tell that everything was handmade and fresh! We will be back!“

“This place is excellent. I travel for work, and have for years. This is immediately in my top 5 places to eat on the road. The Pork Banh Mi was savory, a little sweet, full of flavor. The beef bowl with fried rice was filling and full of flavor. The lychee tea was refreshing, it was super good. With the sandwich, kids meal and tea, the meal cost about $18 after tax. Diana was helpful and knowledgeable. She was obviously passionate about the menu and their product. She walked me through the menu and guided me well having many excellent suggestions. Her service alone was worth a return. I had my food in about 5 minutes. The vibe is clean and feels a little street foody. They also had some beer options and snack foods if you are less hungry. Absolutely worth a stop. Without a question a 5 star experience.“

I appreciate them following my instructions on not adding jalapeños, because most other banh mi places forget (thank you!). My husband ordered a bbq pork banh mi and the style of the sandwich was different than what he’s used to, but he still ate it all.
