“I used to come quite often but their portion sizes have declined. I ordered a shrimp/chicken platter, it came with the chicken, only 4 shrimp and mostly cabbage. The bottom of the container had a thick layer of rice and a very thin layer of the chicken, the 4 shrimp, and veggies. It’s very deceiving.“

There's 2-3 booth tables, regular, and high tables for seating. No patio. A small menu but delivers on flavor and fresh sushi. Also love having the tic-tac-toe while waiting in between orders.“

“Same great quality and service as always from The Blue Fish. Server said this is their concept restaurant since the one at Frankford/Tollway closed. Hand rolls are interesting and very good. 3 for $22 plus you get a side salad. Restaurant was quiet at 7pm and got busy at 9pm on a Saturday night. Largest table size we saw was a 4-top so you'd need to call ahead if you have a large group that needs tables put together. Tight parking but that goes for this entire shopping center. We drive over from Ft. Worth because we love The Blue Fish so much. 🩵“

Katsu is normally served with finely shredded cabbage, at Bulldog, at least with the deluxe set it’s closer to a chirashi bowl with katsu on top. The crab, seaweed, and clam salads were fantastic and the red bean rice ball was a great addition. I just got back from Asia a month ago and had plenty of katsu there. Honestly, I prefer Bulldogs…great place, just try it. Also excellent value for the price and very friendly staff.“

Upon entering into small dining room, guests enjoy an intimate dining area limited to 8-9 guests per seating. Guests experience is at the root of everything Mabo offers. Chef has curated an amazing menu that allows guests through an amazing culinary experience. Each of the courses is prepared and presented with instructions of how each dish is intended to be enjoyed. “First time here. Ordered takeout due to pandemic. Came on a Friday evening around 7:30pm. Ordered 4 rolls: rainbow roll, dragon roll, Greenville roll, & spicy tuna kiss roll. Presentation is nice. Fish quality is smooth, creamy, and does not have a frozen multiple times texture. Flavor is nice. Roll pieces are actually bite sized and -just- fit in your mouth. (I have a small mouth, so they may fit better in an average person’s mouth). Kind of disappointed with the minuscule amount of wasabi & ginger that came with each dish, but wasabi taste fresh & has adequate spice. Pickled ginger is quite sweet. Overall, everything was good. I’d recommend & I’d come back.“

“Uni Sushi is THE best sushi restaurant in Plano. We’ve been eating here for years, and both the quality and portions of the fish are miles above other restaurants. You can tell they know what they’re doing because their food isn’t dripping in mayo to hide the low quality. The portions are big too. One or two rolls will fill up anyone. Try the chirashi.“

I see some reviews complaining the chicken doesn't come slathered in sauce but in my opinion that's a bonus. Anyways, the owners are so lovely and really care about the food they make. “We try to come here a couple times every month, the owners are so friendly and the sushi is always fresh. They always have gentle and upbeat music playing, and the sushi bar is very cool and creates a nice ambiance. We always grab 4-5 rolls, a spicy edamame, and a couple orders of sake. Have been probably 20 times now, and the experience is always a 10/10.“
