“I am a regular customer. I come here almost once a week with my girlfriend. The only reason we don’t come here more often is because we don’t want to get bored of this place because of how amazing it is! We absolutely love this place! There's 2-3 booth tables, regular, and high tables for seating. No patio. A small menu but delivers on flavor and fresh sushi. Also love having the tic-tac-toe while waiting in between orders.“

“Same great quality and service as always from The Blue Fish. Server said this is their concept restaurant since the one at Frankford/Tollway closed. Hand rolls are interesting and very good. 3 for $22 plus you get a side salad. Restaurant was quiet at 7pm and got busy at 9pm on a Saturday night. Largest table size we saw was a 4-top so you'd need to call ahead if you have a large group that needs tables put together. Tight parking but that goes for this entire shopping center. We drive over from Ft. Worth because we love The Blue Fish so much. 🩵“

“Delicious when we dined in and this time when we did take out! Seaweed salad, avocado roll, tuna roll, salmon roll, inari maki roll, and yaki soba! All delicious. Inari maki is unique, and the taste was so balanced and delectable! And ready in 20 minutes!

“Every dish was cooked to perfection.

It’s on the pricier side, even more expensive than most sushi omakases in Dallas, but the experience was beyond our expectations. I’m currently pregnant, and they were able to switch out the raw dishes for me to cooked alternatives with prior notice when I made the reservation. Chef Otaka steamed the uni in the dishes that he used uni, and he cooked my yakitori skewers a little longer. We really appreciate the attention to detail.

The Korean couple next to us told Chef Otaka they went to Japan recently and got a reservation at a highly sought after yakitori restaurant there, but they thought Mābo’s yakitori was better. Every bite they took, they would say how delicious it was in Korean.

What’s unfortunate, though, is that the 8:30 PM seating was only half full, which was surprising given that the restaurant accommodates just eight guests. Maybe Dallas isn’t ready for yakitori omakase yet, but we felt like we were in Japan. We loved it!“

“First time here. Ordered takeout due to pandemic. Came on a Friday evening around 7:30pm. Ordered 4 rolls: rainbow roll, dragon roll, Greenville roll, & spicy tuna kiss roll. Presentation is nice. Fish quality is smooth, creamy, and does not have a frozen multiple times texture. Flavor is nice. Roll pieces are actually bite sized and -just- fit in your mouth. (I have a small mouth, so they may fit better in an average person’s mouth). Kind of disappointed with the minuscule amount of wasabi & ginger that came with each dish, but wasabi taste fresh & has adequate spice. Pickled ginger is quite sweet. Overall, everything was good. I’d recommend & I’d come back.“

The food was absolutely amazing however, we didn't try many of the rolls due to lack of pictures of them & uncertainty about if we'd like them based off just a list of ingredients. Additionally, we found it strange to have the waitstaff lined up against the sushi bar just staring at us as we ate. It was kinda unnerving. The hibachi was some of the best I'd ever had. Definitely a fair price for the quality of food.“

I got the superman roll and it was spicy and fresh and just enough that I wasn't hungry when I finished it-- the rolls are nice and long like eight or nine pieces each so more filling than I am used to with just one sushi roll.

“Uni Sushi is THE best sushi restaurant in Plano. We’ve been eating here for years, and both the quality and portions of the fish are miles above other restaurants. You can tell they know what they’re doing because their food isn’t dripping in mayo to hide the low quality. The portions are big too. One or two rolls will fill up anyone. Try the chirashi.“

Price is very competitive for their all you can eat lunch or dinner option. It is all you can eat but it is not a buffet. You need to order from the menu to the server and they bring items to you.
