“Liz and Erica were great! I had not been here before and they made suggestions from the menu, offered me an appetizer selection, and helped me feel welcome. The scenes from the balcony were great and the bar area was clean. The dim lighting and modern touches were perfect for a relaxing night after a long conference day. Thanks Liz and Erica! I will definitely be back when I am back in Austin--which is often.“
“Having been to the original Snack Bar on South Congress back in the day, my expectations were high. This place is great! I've been here 5 times now in the past 2 months. The drinks are consistent. All the food is from the farmers market, and supporting local business seems to be one Snack Bar's top priorities! If you are old enough to remember Orange Julius, you HAVE to try the Grandma Pendleton's Orange Dream. Absolutely amazing! And I highly recommend the hummus and the La Texana pizza.Today was a little chilly out and they had the fire pit going, with heated seating pads! One night they even played a movie outdoors! Truly an Austin gem for those looking for that old Austin vibe!!“
“Great food and atmosphere, a little expensive for the location in my opinion- more like downtown prices. Gorgeous space inside and tons of patio space decorated very modern and artistic.Vegetarian options: Lots of optionsParking: There is a lot and street parking“
“After I tried Pho at Sip Pho, I seriously do not want to go anywhere else to have my bowl of Pho anymore because Pho here is absolutely phenomenal, extremely delicious and flavorful, I am not even kidding. I ordered the rare steak pho and the meat is thick but so tender and moist. My friend ordered short rib Pho and the bowl is gigantic!? He cannot even finished it… I know for sure that I will have to come back here again and many more times? Sip Pho is a MUST TRY you all! Highly recommend!“
“We ordered most of the menu, and it was all ranging from tasty to ridiculously tasty, especially the pappardelle, but that's not the important bit. Not even the cocktail program, which they execute perfectly. It's the desserts. Marrow Pastry, Buckwheat Mousse , and the Chocolate Chip. All savory sweet and so unexpected; I had to try all of them because they were just so interesting. Take the chance, you won't regret it.Honorable mention to the sourdough with butter flight. Team Roquefort for life.“
“Great drink selections, the lobster Mac and cheese/ lobster mozzarella balls/ crab cakes are amazing! The staff is great and the place is clean and spacious (outdoor seating available, even with heaters). “The bartender at the Hilton Canopy recommended this spot for us as we were checking out various places to go in downtown for drinks and bites. My friend knows her bourbons and the bartender suggested this should be our first stop on our "tour".You walk up the stairs to Swift's Attic (downstairs is The Elephant Room jazz bar, which is also very cool) and the decor is a mixture of beautiful old wood with modern touches. The bourbons line the back of the bar wall, so we sat at the bar to peruse the selections. Nate was the bartender and was extremely knowledgeable about all the bourbons. (He was a connoisseur himself!) My friend and him talked up various bourbons and bourbon "trees" of various distilleries. She wanted to try something different than what she had enjoyed in the past. Nate made some excellent suggestions I was told. I'm more a vodka drinker and Nate made me various specialty cocktails as I told him to surprise me (and boy, did he ever!)Since we were there for happy hour, Nate provided the associated menu, and we selected the "Rillette & Focaccia" plate. It contained chicken, chorizo, a bourbon gel, avocado purée, pickled onions, pecans and toasted Focaccia bread. Nate said you spread the ingredients of choice on the bread, and he recommended putting all the ingredients together as the flavors all complement each other. Boy, was he right again!I highly recommend this place if you love bourbon, specialty cocktails and attentive and knowledgeable service. Ask for Nate and you will not be disappointed!“
“One of my favorite bars on the east side that truly transports you back to your grandmas house in the 70’s with the interior decor. Amazing cocktails, amazing food, and such a large patio that’s great for watching sports and hanging with a large group of friends. Easily THE BEST happy hour in Austin, can’t beat $3 wells.“
“Had a girls night out for my birthday and Estelle's was a great time. Normally they have a DJ and it can become a bit of a "scene" on the weekends so we went early to have more of a chill experience. The bartenders were very friendly and made good cocktails. Service isn't very speedy so be prepared to wait a bit based on what you order. Group seating downstairs is hard to come by but the bar is surrounded by elegant stools on all sides so you should be able to post up there with a smaller group or date if you get there early enough. I do wish their cocktail menu was more extensive (and creative). They only had one bourbon-based cocktail and it was as straight-forward of an old fashioned as they come. Very much enjoyed it, but would have liked to see them experiment a little more. Most of the cocktails were on the sweeter side, so I preferred the Estelle's Old Fashioned to the other things I tried. Granted this was from the summer cocktail menu so I'm sure the options will evolve over time as they introduce new seasonal menus. We split a few appetizers and enjoyed every bite. The truffle fries, hushpuppies, and pork belly were presented well and plated in a way that made it easy for sharing. I'd recommend all! I don't have any true complaints about the experience. It was a gorgeous venue with good food and drinks, but if I'm paying $16 per cocktail I'd rather go someplace with a more impressive cocktail menu.“
“Honestly only leaving this review because our bartender (started with a J and sounded like an arab name) was really awesome and made great cocktails just based upon my boyfriend and I's preferences of tastes. Chill workers and a nice spot just to hangout with friends.“
“I'm coming out of 6 years of Yelp review retirement to applaud Mike at the W XYZ Bar at the Aloft hotel in the Domain. It's my first time in Austin, and I'm hating every minute of it, but Mike and his expertly crafted cocktail menu have made it just above bearable. Also, ordering "Ass in the Sand" is a power move.“
“The sushi was so fresh, creative, amazing experience! We had a tuna tataki appetizer and multiple orders of Nigiri with Hokkaido scallops, New Zealand king, salmon, bluefin tuna, and a longhorn roll, and Fiery Kiss roll which were delicious! We will keep coming back!!!“
“Food was delicious and creative. We loved that there were lots of vegetarian and GF options. Dining room was on the smaller side and was a little loud, but not overly so. We were able to talk amongst ourselves easily without feeling like we needed to shout. Our drinks were delicious, and our server, Kelsey, was delightful. Looking forward to our next visit.Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating for GF diners“
