“My first visit to MF Sushi was in 2015, and my latest visit 11 years later was just as impressive as the first. We sat at the sushi bar to change up the pace and catch the head sushi chef working his art. Truly amazing.

This is a place you come to for the quality of the fish. We had 2 orders of the avocado balls with spicy tuna, so good. Chutoro and ocean trout sashimi, it was so tender and the taste so uniquely fresh. We tried the chef’s deluxe nigiri, none of the cuts disappointed. The hamachi appetizer was also very good. Our last dish was the lobster Osaka box, my favorite roll in the whole wide world! Still as satisfying as the first time I had it.

My choice is easy, the usual Chirashi Sushi, 8 kinds of premium Sashimi over a bed of Sushi Rice with deliciously Pickled Vegetables. Vanessa has a more refined and discrete taste, so she ordered Japanese Uni Sea Urchin, Salmon, O-Toro Fatty Tuna, Tobiko Flying Fish Roe, Spider Handroll, and the trusty old California Roll. The fish is top-notch, naturally flavorful, fresh, and has that faint fatty seafood fragrance that I love; I cannot ask for better quality. I can elaborate with more empty words, but when the ingredients are premium quality and served with well-seasoned and temperate Sushi Rice, there should be as little extra interference as possible. All the Nigiri and Sashimi we had are at max enjoyment level for us. Chef Omi Higa, even though was shopping for his ingredients away from the restaurant, went out of his way to notify the manager Jessie, and she gracefully introduced herself and said hi to us. As we were slowly enjoying our food, and I mean, I really take my time taking deliberate bites, Jessie sent out her favorite dish for us to try. The Madai Tiradito is composed of Sea Bream Sashimi, Orange, Yuzu, Olive Oil, Black Sea Salt, Yuzu Tobiko, Kaiware, Red Onion, Wasabi Yuzu, Serrano, Micro Rainbow Mix, all beautifully plated as shown. Can you imagine the dance of flavors and textures waltzing in your taste palate? Peter or Pedro from Guatamala who took great care of us behind the Sushi Bar, prepared this extraordinary dish for us too. We get to know each other and talk about food and travel, which makes our dining experience so much more hospitable. Just when we were finally attempting the finish all our food, a second surprise arrived. Jessie promised it's the last one because she has to let us try their best seller of the house, Japanese Wagyu Shumai. Don't you just love the sound of that? Premium Wagyu Beef stuffed in a Shumai Dumpling, topped with Truffle Ponzu and Garlic Crunch, can you understand now why this is the top-selling item? We all know the quality and taste of food are always impeccable at Soma Sushi, in addition, the people, management and staffs all handily contribute to elevating an otherwise already perfect lunch. We just hope to can make it here more often.“

There has not been an experience I’ve had that rivals the experience I had tonight at Norigami. The dishes, prepared by the chef right in front of you, are top notch, above and beyond expectations. The service is equally as phenomenal. These folks made me feel like a rockstar, heard every word I said on my preferences, and made recommendations that NEVER ONCE missed. “Attended the bluefin carving last night.

Tickets were $207 pp. Aside from the tuna, there were stations serving unlimited food or drinks. Food stations - raw oysters and kaluga caviar.
Drink stations - premium sake, rum, and japanese whiskey (all did neat or cocktails).
The featured cocktail of night was a Lychee Martini and it was fantastic.

Servers came around with food, water, and the martini constantly.

Food options were: mini tuna sashimi waffle cone, tuna crisp with caramelized onions, a mini tuna fishbowl with mango, seared tuna skewers, hand rolls, and then a 3 plate of chu toro, otoro, and lean.

The tuna carving itself was cool. You were able to go and use a spoon to pick at the meat left close to the bone while they filet'd the tenderloins. We got to try the cheek seared, tuna bone marrow, and neck meat along with all the traditional cuts. Then obviously a tuna head sake shot because why not.

Worth every penny because they did not over sell tickets. At no point were you fighting for food or drinks. Will go again.“

We started with the Hiyayakko and Hokkigai Sunomono. For the cooked dishes, the Ika Teriyaki, Beef Negimaki, Curry Tonkatsu Don, and Hamachi Kama were all solid. The Sukiyaki Nabemono is a great hot option.

“Great food! For about $40, I got the takoyaki, rainbow roll, and several pieces of nigiri.

Overall, Sushi was very fresh and flavorful. The rainbow roll was a good size. The squid nigiri was my favorite as it was sliced in a way that gave it a pleasant texture and lightly seared.

The takoyaki was pretty good. It was odd to use cabbage shreds instead of Bonito flakes, but still good overall.

Jellyfish is located on busy Ella Blvd in a very modest inconspicuous shopping strip - if you’re not looking, you’re going to miss it. Don’t miss out though!! This place has delicious food and you’ll experience excellent service. Everything was super fresh and prepared to perfection. I enjoyed the hibachi steak/chicken, grilled veggies & steamed rice. The meats were tender as were the veggies perfectly grilled & seasoned as well. We shared a roll of Sushi that was masterfully prepared by cooks that know how to do it.
