“Where to begin… This locally owned restaurant is absolutely phenomenal. A hidden gem outside of the RGV. Met the Owners Juan and his wife who were extremely hospitable, it’s like your dining with family. It’s a small quaint restaurant, which is delightful.

Ok… Getting to the good stuff… The food was deliciously amazing!! I enjoyed picking through the seafood tacos to experience the different flavors. Juan suggested taking a full bite, WOW 🤩 The combination of the corn tortilla, seafood, slaw, the sauce and a squeeze of the lime 🍋‍🟩 was outstanding… the burst of flavors were amazing.

We can’t wait to go back and try other seafood dishes on the menu. Especially the Molcajete filled with fresh seafood.

Oh by the way…. The seafood and other ingredients are fresh and prepared when it’s ordered which makes the whole meal experience so tasty.

“Kitchen La Katrina absolutely delivered! The service was amazing from start to finish, and the food was even better. The homemade lemonade was fresh and delicious, and the ribeye tacos were incredibly flavorful. But the real star of the meal was the birria tacos — hands down some of the best I’ve ever had. Crispy, juicy, packed with flavor, and cooked to perfection. I highly recommend Kitchen La Katrina to anyone looking for great food and outstanding service. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to again!“

“Tonia, presented me with thier famous pozole. I am a very critical person when it comes to Pozole. It was DELICIOUS !!! Plate presentation was SUPERB, and everything I wanted, they provided !!! The service Tonia provided was PERFECT !!! I highly recommend this restaurant . Place is clean and Tv playing Mexican videos …. This is our 3rd time here, & every time we try something new. “I keep going to this restaurant because I really enjoy the variety of food and it's also good tasting. What I don't like is the wait staff. The workers always forget to bring the tortillas, crackers, spoons, when the food is served and I always have to ask for refills for the drinks. I have yet to go and get quality service from the wait staff. I am not a cheapskate, but I tip according to the service. Maybe these workers don't have to depend on the tips hence the bad service?“

I decided to try their chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes & vegetables. The plating looked very appealing. The food was warm and very delicious. I feel that they have a professional chef in the kitchen because I was not expecting the high quality of the food presentation & taste. The only thing this place is missing is YOU as their customer.
