“I don’t post often, but this was a remarkable dining experience. My wife and I recently shared a a special menu item- a beautifully braised veal shank with rich jus and almond gremolata- paired with saffron risotto, stewed artichokes, and a bright arugula-preserved lemon salad (plus brioche to soak up every drop of jus). Btw- Though it was noted “for 2” the veal was large enough to feed (4) hungry adults.

As always, Bar Bludorn delivers polished service, refined food, and an excellent wine and cocktail program- the reasons we keep returning to both Bar Bludorn and Bludorn.“

Well apparently these olives came with a VIP wristband because we were charged $1 per olive. Yes. Per. Had we known it was an upcharge, totally fine, just tell us! It’s not about the few bucks, it’s about the surprise plot twist at the bottom of the receipt. “The pizza is delicious and you can definitely tell the ingredients are fresh, this is one of the only authentic Chicago style deep dish in Houston that i could find. The crust is perfect, the sauce is delicious, the cheese tastes natural. The service was excellent, the only thing i would change about the atmosphere is better seating, but I understand the place is small with minimal space for actual tables. The prices are decent as well. I definitely recommend trying.“

“I just hosted my baby shower here. We had about 30 attendees. The owner was very responsive on questions and provided great ideas and feedback. Day of the event ran so smoothly, everything was taken care of. The food spread was beautiful and delicious, the wine and drinks options were various, and the location itself required very few decorations to make the space feel special for the baby shower. The owner even helped coordinate day of with cake delivery and lent us a cake stand for display. The staff were friendly and very attentive making sure everyone had a drink and plates were bussed quickly preventing any clutter or build up. They were also amazing helping us get everything setup including decorations, a bouquet bar, and provided ideas for how best to utilize the space. Overall, the event was so seamless, everyone had an amazing time and raved about the venue and food, and it took so much stress off my hosts from needing to worry about restocking food and drinks. 10/10 would plan another event here!“

“I am a new regular visitor of Houston since my boyfriend moved here a few weeks ago and decided to order a random veggie sandwich and soup… the veggie Sammie and posole from local foods is probably the best veggie sandwich I have ever had!!! The posole was A+++++ and I am from El Paso Texas, where grew up on posole and have some of the best Mexican food you’ll ever eat. The sandwich was so flavorful and fresh, I added tofu and vegan aioli and could not believe how delicious this was! The posole was top knotch! Clean, tasty and the perfectly seasoned. It’s been 3 days since I had this meal and I am dying to go sit and actually eat here!!! Can’t wait to go and try something else! There were so many clean eats and veggie options I am so excited to try it all! Well done!!!!!“

The owner and bar keeper are like family and served bbq shrimp on the counter for customers. I attended a memorial for an actor and it was just right. If it bothers you that the ceiling was leaking into a bucket this may not be your place but, for me and the others, no body seemed to notice.“

“This place has Houston Haze IPA on tap. If you're into the H-town craft beer scene and dig IPAs (like basically every beer bro on the planet) then you've likely heard of Spindle Tap brewery and know Houston Haze (if not, check it out, HEB has it in cans in the Houston area). Man this stuff is dank on draft, it's so Hazy that you can watch it swim around in the glass like the nitrogen settling in a Guinness. I discovered it about 20 min before boarding and had a couple big ones. Pounded, not regretted!! Keep that stuff on tap and I'll stop by everytime in terminal D. Get some!“

“As usual, the food was fantastic, certainly the best Asian food within 100 miles of Holly Springs/Raliegh Area. My new favorite is Basil fried rice. Will still order the Pad See Ewe as well. I don't like much spicy heat on my food and they are very accommodating to please. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.“

“Despite staying far away, two visits in rapid succession - an excellent business lunch visit that prompted an elevated family dinner visit. Place was humming with activity - a great sign/vibe. We were greeted and seated promptly at a booth. Anna, our server, acknowledged us right away and despite a heavy work load attending to us as well as a large gathering adjacent to us, followed up quite regularly with orders and water/drink too-ups. Kudos to her for maintaining poise and delivering good service.
We ordered food off the Restaurant Week menu, which featured excellent combos. Got the seasonal Summer Corn Soup, Grilled Scallop, Lamb Loin (med-rare), and Cedar Plank-Grilled Salmon. For s drink we ordered a bottle of Jam Jar Shiraz - wanted a light, semi-sweet wine and it delivered (albeit at a 3x upcharge compared to retail). Food arrived fresh and was a visual delight. Saw expediters in the kitchen refining the presentation from the kitchen prior to delivery - a pleasing sight and indicative of a restaurant that cares about its customers and its reputation!
The food itself - flavorful, plentiful, simply divine! “Meats” were juicy/succulent; soup was warm and fantastic - thick corn mash broth topped with grilled corn kernels, chives, and bacon bits; accompanying veggies were just perfectly cooked - asparagus, marbled potatoes, Yukon potato mash - wow, each dish better than the other! And the desserts - various mini servings of delectable, chocolatey, cheesecakey, creamy/Oreoy, stuff…sinful!!

Truly a memorable experience - not cheap, set us back $190 with taxes and a generous tip, but entirely worth it! Restaurant Week rocks! 🤗“

“Originally had the intention of going to another restaurant but booked the wrong date for our reservation; turned out being an incredible mistake which resulted in us dining at Flemings! Had a wonderful experience from the start with the hostesses being very welcoming and explaining their menu to us. We didn’t make reservations but I can’t say it always is this easy to get a table. Our server Richard (name on receipt) was amazing, he was timely, kind, and accurately took down our orders. The On Cloud 9 beverage tasted great and had quite a kick without tasting like alcohol. The crab cakes were a delicious appetizer. The steamed ginger Seabass tasted exquisite and had such complimenting flavors. My partner really enjoyed his filet and lobster entree. The macaroni and cheese had a very homemade baked feel to it (interpret it as you may) but I still found it to be very good. They have a menu of desserts and delicious after-meal drinks to choose from which I loved my latte. Would definitely recommend dining here especially if you are looking for a nice date-night dinner.“

“We went last night for my husband’s birthday. While the food was outstanding per usual, the service was deplorable. We waited 40 minutes before our order was taken and just sat with waters. Bread came after appetizers. Kids were completely done with their meals before adults received ours. Difficult experience with two small children. When we first got there, only three other tables had people at them so it wasn’t busy. Definitely expected better service.“
