“We just threw a surprise party at Padre’s for a friend and it was a 10/10 experience! Mauricio and his team provided incredible and immaculate service. The pre event communication provided everything I needed to know and was super helpful for planning. On the day of, the team was right there providing amazing service and making sure the event went well, which it absolutely did. The wine was wonderful and the food was delicious, a review shared by all guests. I will come back to Padre’s on my own to enjoy as well as plan another party there because it is a great venue. Host your party here, I promise you will love it!“

Well apparently these olives came with a VIP wristband because we were charged $1 per olive. Yes. Per. Olive. 🫒 Not gonna lie, I’ve eaten at a lot of places and this is the first time a garnish showed up on the bill like it was the main course. Had we known it was an upcharge, totally fine, just tell us! It’s not about the few bucks, it’s about the surprise plot twist at the bottom of the receipt. “I am a new regular visitor of Houston since my boyfriend moved here a few weeks ago and decided to order a random veggie sandwich and soup… the veggie Sammie and posole from local foods is probably the best veggie sandwich I have ever had!!! The posole was A+++++ and I am from El Paso Texas, where grew up on posole and have some of the best Mexican food you’ll ever eat. The sandwich was so flavorful and fresh, I added tofu and vegan aioli and could not believe how delicious this was! The posole was top knotch! Clean, tasty and the perfectly seasoned. It’s been 3 days since I had this meal and I am dying to go sit and actually eat here!!! Can’t wait to go and try something else! There were so many clean eats and veggie options I am so excited to try it all! Well done!!!!!“

We ordered sourdough bread, a salad, and a fresh pasta, all taste good. My favorite is the tiramisu!! Not too sweet and very light, fresh and refreshing. “I cannot say enough good things about Sonoma!! I’m here so often to the point that it’s embarrassing… sometimes multiple times a week - whether I’m with my husband, gal pals, or colleagues, it’s always a fun time.

A huge part of why we keep coming back is Taylor. His wine knowledge and recommendations are honestly unmatched, he always knows exactly what to steer us toward and he's never once missed. On top of being incredibly knowledgeable, he's attentive, kind, and genuinely funny. The service he provides is top notch every single time. And it's not just Taylor, the entire staff is fantastic!!

The wine selection is amazing and the snacks are perfect for light bites and girl dinners. I love trying new wines so I often get their flights! Another plus: there are TVs inside and outside, so my husband can watch sports while I enjoy my wine. Win-win for everyone :)

We're also members of the wine and cheese club and it RULES!! The selections are always fantastic and the monthly tastings and pickups are so much fun.

I recently organized a professional happy hour for about 10 women here, and Taylor/Sonoma made it effortless. They reserved a perfect large table for our group and the service was excellent from start to finish. Everyone had a wonderful time!

“We love the food at Bravery Hall. Everything we’ve tried has been delicious. Drunken Pho is a favorite and Bhan Bhan Thai is also a win. With that said, the bar in the main dining area is disappointing….be ready to wait, be ignored, wait some more, and pay more than you should.“

“It is certainly not a large posh place but somewhere you may feel comfortable however you dress and whether or not you know anyone. The owner and bar keeper are like family and served bbq shrimp on the counter for customers. I attended a memorial for an actor and it was just right. If it bothers you that the ceiling was leaking into a bucket this may not be your place but, for me and the others, no body seemed to notice.“

“The pizza is delicious and you can definitely tell the ingredients are fresh, this is one of the only authentic Chicago style deep dish in Houston that i could find. The crust is perfect, the sauce is delicious, the cheese tastes natural. The service was excellent, the only thing i would change about the atmosphere is better seating, but I understand the place is small with minimal space for actual tables. The prices are decent as well. I definitely recommend trying.“

If you're into the H-town craft beer scene and dig IPAs (like basically every beer bro on the planet) then you've likely heard of Spindle Tap brewery and know Houston Haze (if not, check it out, HEB has it in cans in the Houston area). Man this stuff is dank on draft, it's so Hazy that you can watch it swim around in the glass like the nitrogen settling in a Guinness. I discovered it about 20 min before boarding and had a couple big ones. Pounded, not regretted!! Keep that stuff on tap and I'll stop by everytime in terminal D. Get some!“

“Top notch bar. The staff there are the best mixologists I've encountered. They go through a LOT of rigorous and technical training and they don't just accept anybody. High standards and great ambience with an warm casual environment. I have never been disappointed here, nor has what I wanted from a drink been misunderstood or not clarified. As a bartender myself I can get picky, but they sure hit it on the head every time.“

“Small, intimate, romantic, and heartfelt. A local family-owned and operated New American restaurant with some noticeable French influence. My dining experience was perfection and I saw excellence at every turn. I see now why this is the local spot for River Oaks residents. I may have quickly became a lifelong fan of Lucio’s and can’t wait to bring a friend to share the experience with. The staff was very present and intentional, which allowed for the pace to feel slow paced & not rushed, yet the wait time for the food was just right. This would be the absolute best spot for an anniversary or date night. 10/10.“

“My partner and I got the chicken pad thai and chicken red curry. We requested thai hot (their highest spice level) for both dishes! Our server was nice and was quick with their service. Ambiance is really nice and I love the music selection. While waiting for the food, I was adoring the place.

My partner enjoyed his dish but he did wish the noodles were more firm. It was more soggy than he preferred.

I enjoyed my curry too but I was expecting the highest spice level to be more spicy. It was really flavorful but towards the end of finishing my dish, I was starting to feel fatigued with the taste. It’s really creamy!“

Our server took the time to explain the concept of the restaurant and guided us through the seasonal menu and wine list, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I especially appreciate that all of their dishes are under 500 calories and are never fried, while still being flavorful and satisfying. We really enjoyed the grilled pork chop and lamb loin, both were delicious and cooked perfectly. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience, and I would definitely return.“
