“When I tell y’all this food is sent from heaven, I mean it! I found this place when I was looking for places to order on DoorDash. The reviews were so good that I decided to just go up there because everyone speaks so highly of the owners. Be prepared to wait about 15 minutes, but it’s worth every minute sat!! I got 2 of the brisket tacos and a brisket bbq potato. It’s freaking huge! I’m going to try to the brisket sandwich next time because a family that are regulars were up there waiting on their food and told me I gotta try it next! I will be back this weekend. 😆“

We were greeted, and seated and told to take our time (of course we didn’t) but our server Anthony was one of the best servers we have ever had, and the food was worth the hour and a half drive. “This was my very first time dining at Manna Shabu & BBQ (Lewisville location) while visiting for a concert weekend, and I have to say—it was such a wonderful experience! They were even having a special collaboration with a local small business vendor for the Ateez concert and offering a complimentary Lemon Drop mocktail for each diner, which was such a fun and thoughtful touch. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed. I believe it was the owner or manager who greeted me, and when he learned it was my first visit, he kindly explained the menu, the dining options, and where to find the different food and sauce stations. I was then shown to my table where a very sweet server brought me water and took my order. Throughout my meal, two other staff members as well as the owner/manager checked on me often. The service was beyond excellent—everyone was attentive, helpful, and genuinely kind. Now onto the food—oh my gosh, the portions were incredible! I ordered three different meats and was so pleasantly surprised at the generous serving sizes. At most KBBQ places, one order barely feels like enough for a single person, but here, each order was hearty and satisfying. I couldn’t stop raving about it to my boyfriend and mom while on the phone during my meal! The meat was fresh, high-quality, and delicious—even without dipping sauces. The corn cheese also deserves a special shout-out—it was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. Beyond the main dishes, there were so many great options: hot plates like mandu, sausage, japchae, fried rice, and chicken; a nice selection of banchan; an ice cream station for dessert; and a wide variety of sauces to complement everything. The restaurant itself was very clean, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and even the restrooms were spotless. I also loved that the TVs played some of my favorite K-pop groups and the music playlist was absolutely top tier—it really added to the fun vibe. Dining here as a solo traveler, I never once felt uncomfortable or out of place. On the contrary, I felt taken care of and treated like a queen. It was such a comforting and memorable experience, and I am so thankful for the outstanding hospitality and service I received. I do not eat fatty brisket, so I had to mark that I did not receive the Regular lean brisket I ordered at all. (It is a bit ridiculous that if you click 'incorrect order' DoorDash only offers to give you $3 back. I will not eat the brisket given, so I am out $13, which is why I had to click that I never received the Regular lean brisket.) I know this is set up through Door Dash, but since you do business with them, I believe it would be good to know.“

“Dickey’s Barbecue Pit on I-35E in Denton is hands down one of the best barbecue spots around! The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Their brisket is tender and juicy with just the right amount of smokiness, and the ribs fall right off the bone. The sides are just as good—mac & cheese, baked potato casserole, and fried okra are absolute must-haves.

“I think this Dickey’s may be under new management, because the food tasted absolutely amazing, and I’ve been to Dickey’s plenty of times before. The manager mentioned they prepare their food overnight, and you can definitely tell the difference.
I had the chicken, sausage, and ribs. The ribs were falling off the bone, the sausage was solid, and the smoked chicken had a great smoky flavor while still being extremely tender.
What really stood out to me, though, was the customer service. The manager personally took my order and clearly cares about the customers. At one point, he noticed someone left their drink behind and literally ran out the front door to make sure they got it back.
That kind of service, combined with the quality of the food, definitely makes this location worth coming back to.“

The same exact quality of food as their Plano location. Make sure to ask for extra kimchi! Peter the owner is very kind and prides himself on his quality service and food.“
