“We LOVE coming here. Best Seafood Restaurant in Brownsville, hands down. Honestly, probably in South Texas. We love seafood and have tried many different places. But, none like these.The food is freshly made and delicious!The waitress is a younger girl and she’s absolutely fantastic, Karla. She is amazing! We got the Mariscada for 2 and a Fish Taco and Soup . Amazing!“

“The fish and shrimp soup is awesome. Its always fresh and hot with nice sized portions. The ceviche is really good too. The hot sauce is what takes the flavor profile over the top! Real nice spice that'll leave your taste buds happy and tingling.“

“In spite of the difficulty in finding parking due to construction projects in the area, it’s worth checking out this historic seafood eatery that is still family-owned after 73 years and 4 generations. Clean, neat, and tidy, with great food served by pleasant & attentive staff. Note: This is THE original Oyster Bar in the Brownsville area, and I remember being brought here by my mother in the 1960’s, and it offered great seafood and was well-managed back then, too!“

“What a wonderful place for seafood. I had the small shrimp cocktail and pan broiled fish fillets and both were delicious. The cocktail was loaded with shrimp and the fillets were remarkable both in flavor and cooking! No hesitation saying go see for yourself!!!“

“Most importantly, the food is great! The decor is nice enough and the drinks are typical for a restaurant. But besides the food, what sets Dirty Al’s apart from the rest it’s their service! Starting from the bar, through the wait staff and ending with the manager, the Brownsville location will do everything in their power to make you feel comfortable. Denise the manager, Karla my waiter, Rick & Clarita my bartenders get special mentions. Great place, great food and a good time. P.S. The daily lunch special is affordable and delicious. Give the a try!“

“I had not been to the Oyster Bar II since they remodeled. The service is great. The staff joked around with us and made us feel like home. The acoustics were great as there were several families dining that day and it was not loud. The plate I got was fish and shrimp. That's what I always get and it was delicious. No complaints at all that day. Thanks guys. Keep up the great work!

“Small Mexican restaurant. I don't think they get tourists there very often. I enjoyed the flavor of the food, but was quite spicey compared to what I usually eat, and it wasn't even listed as being spicey. I think its just safer to assume almost everything there is spicey.
Parking: Small parking lot. not easy to maneuver, so please remember to be careful going in or out of the parking lot.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten Allergy - most food that is breaded is made of corn flour and Not wheat flour.“

“This place has been my childhood favorite place to eat and I’ve seen go through generations. The prices are very affordable still like good old days. Food is good and now with the upgrades they have given into the place is very nice. My best choice when I come back to town for a visit this is my breakfast spot. ?“

“The ambiance in this restaurant is ok, kind a dark for my taste. Expensive. Great meals, they offer water, wine, bread and entrees. Ceviche a little salty. If you like to watch the resaca, it’s very close, you can ask to b served outside. Recommend it.“
