“Dead End Trading Post was a pleasant surprise to say the least. Plenty of parking, super laid back atmosphere with amazing food! We had the brisket tacos and potato skins and we were both full. Live music on the weekends! This place is a hidden gem y’all, go check it out!“

“Hands down the best greens at any restaurant, and I don't really like greens. I had the baked potato stuffed with chopped brisket. EXCELLENT! The meat tasted like it had been smoked overnight and seasoned perfectly. I will definitely revisit this place. Amazing family atmosphere. They make you feel like you're at home.“

“Brisket was Amazing! Ribeye was tender and juicy and so flavorful! Only downside was the lack of sides were out of lids for side containers so no jalapeño cheese corn or macaroni was available…also 3/4$ for a small side is a little high in my opion but overall was very filling and the atmosphere was great!“

“Our first time here! We were a group of three. We ordered the three meat plate with brisket, turkey, and pulled pork. We also chose fhe Mac and cheese and potato salad as our sides. We added the pinto beans, side salad, and small potato skins to share. The turkey was the favorite out of the meats. I enjoyed the Mac and cheese the best but the other two people preferred the beans. The potato skins were not what I imagined (they were like nachos made out of potato skins) but the table agreed they were very good. The other people think they would have been better without the queso. I'm not sure.We arrived around 11:30 on a Saturday. There was no line and it was quick to order. The cashier was happy to answer questions. The food arrived quickly.Pretty much immediately after we picked up our food a long line developed. It just kept getting longer and longer.“

“We decided we wanted BBQ served at our reception dinner following our wedding and we are so happy we went with Patriotic Pig. They served brisket, sausage, and smoked chicken breast with mac&cheese, burnt-end beans, bacon green beans, bacon ranch potato salad, and coleslaw. All the food was delicious and all the guests were raving about the food.We also had appetizers served during cocktail hour. They served street tacos, brisket and pulled pork sliders, and Texas tater skins, all were a big hit with us and our guests! It was the perfect amount of food to keep our guests happy until dinner was served. We also opted for a dessert bar that featured Uncle Willie's pies which were absolutely delicious. My husband and I had a sampling of the pies for breakfast the day after our wedding and they were absolutely delicious!“

“This place is fantastic. Food is 5 stars+ and on par with the best BBQ joints in DFW. The brisket is out of this world, possibly the best in NTX area. The beef sausage is equally as good, as are the sides. Mac n Cheese, Potato Salad, Corn, etc. I'm only giving it 4 Stars because of the service. There's only one person taking orders for the entire place and then it takes a solid 15-20mins to get your order after that. Every other top BBQ place in DFW you order at the counter and get your food as you pay. The food is fantastic but the fact that after you order you still have to wait 20mins to get your food... it's not the greatest.“

“Everything is homemade. Even the bread and pickles are homemade from my understanding. Our favorites for meat are burnt ends and pulled pork. For sides, our favorites are Elote Corn, Onion Rings, and everyone's favorite Mac n Cheese. We saw the chef there today.“

“Went for breakfast and had a great experience. Staff were friendly, food was brought out quickly, and tasted great. The chilaquiles was a standout dish. Even got to enjoy watching The Lone Ranger while we sipped on the complimentary coffee. Got out of there with two breakfasts, two coffees, and an OJ for just over $30 which I feel is pretty rare these days. I can't wait to go back and try their lunch/dinner menu.“

“Their meat stands alone, which, for BBQ in Texas, is not something you find very frequently. (Most places I've visited as a BBQ lover, they hide the dryness of their meat with sauce.) The atmosphere is warm and relaxing, and the employees are good-hearted people.“

“This place really has me speechless. I don't usually get burgers at BBQ joints, but man this was one of the best burgers I've ever had. Service was a taddd slow but nothing concerning. There were a lot of people there and I arrived only 30 minutes after they opened. That shows you how good this place is. The restaurant can get a little loud but there's a nice patio that is also pet friendly.“

“Very small place with a big heart. While you may have to tip your head into the kitchen to get attention, the food is top-notch. There's African music in the background, sports on the TVs, a full-service bar, and a nice, comfortable seating area of tables and booths. We'll be going back for more. Between our three diners we had sambusas to start, then lamb kabob dinner, chicken kabob dinner, and beef stew. The spinach is amazing, the fou fou outstanding, and don't miss their dessert - it's kind of a bread/biscuit/not too sweet an ending. The waitress will explain anything you don't know about or have questions on. Great eating. Be careful: we all ate too much!“

“This place is fantastic! The brisket is nice and moist! The sausage has a great smokey flavor with a little jalapeño kick! The burnt ends have all sorts of flavors that render together beautifully! I also sampled a country rib that was amazing aswell! The owner, Todd, is a very nice guy who appreciates your business. Support your local businesses! I'll have to try the ribs next time! Check this place out. It won't disappoint!“

“I work on a school and I had a family having lunch in the cafeteria, the food was so good looking and smelling so good, that I had to ask them where they got their food. It was Red’s. I’m new to the area, so I didn’t know the restaurant. Next day I gave it a try… OMG!!! Their food is delicious, their price is even better! I was so hungry that I didn’t take any pictures to show here, Lol… But I had a Brisket sand w/ coleslaw, my kids had fried chicken w/ fries. 100% sure I’m becoming a regular costumer.“

“Great food and friendly staff. Met up with a friend after work to catch up. It is casual, order at the counter, and pick up yourself. The floor staff checked on us numerous times to see if we needed anything. There is also a walk-up bar that we did not utilize this visit.“

“Growing up in Arlington, Texas we frequently visited the original Spring Creek location. Yesterday was my grandfather’s 92 birthday and he wanted Spring Creek rolls and barbecue. This Keller location is the closest to them so we met there. Upon entering the facility was organized and clean. Going through the line was as easy as ever and the staff was friendly. The veggies and meats were just how I remembered them. They were fresh, moist, and that signature Spring Creek sauce! The manager at this location Tommy went out of his way to make my grandfather feel special. That was super appreciated by all of us! Definitely worth a stop here if you are in the area!Parking: Plenary of parking out frontKid-friendliness: Perfect for kids“

“The food is fantastic as always. Service is fast and friendly. They have new menus. However, I noticed the plates and serving platters have gotten significantly smaller which means less food. They went from 12" plates to 9" plates combined with such smaller serving platters I feel it gives a false illusion of how much food you're actually getting. Inflation has food prices going up with smaller portions. What I don't like is even if the economy improves the change most likely won't be reversed. Once a business cuts costs it's virtually unheard of to revert back to pre inflation quantities. I still really like the restaurant but wish they kept the same sized plates/platters as before.“

“Been here many times, never left a review. Beautiful Sunday afternoon. Sat on the back patio. Family & dog friendly. German beer, Texas BBQ. Wife & I got G'Night Viennas (Vienna Style Lager. 6.5% ABV) and shared a two meat brisket & jalapeño cheddar sausage plate. Both tasted great. Friendly staff. Definitely will return, thanks Cowtown!“

“Great bang for the buck BBQ place in Fort Worth. Not the best I've had, but excellent value, so my scoring is based on the price point. I got a 2 meat plate, with ribs, brisket, potato salad, and Mac n cheese. Add a large craft beer, and my total was 24.99, after tax. The flavor profile on the meat was excellent. Could have been a little moister, so I wonder how fresh it was... But the flavor was good enough that I used very minimal sauce. My sides were fine, nothing special, and no complaints. Beer selection was good, both draft and bottles. Common American beers and some local crafts. Service was counter service for ordering, but they have people walking around to ask if you need anything. Everyone was polite and friendly. Def check this place out if you are looking for a no frills BBQ place.“

“I love this place. Texas is usually wet bbq, but they make dry rub ribs here that are amazing. We had brisket (sliced and a chopped sandwich), ribs, hot links, and 1 of every side. Everything here is great. Best little dive bbq joint in Texas.“

“The family spent a day at the Fort Worth Zoo and all those adorable and majestic critters gave us a hankerin' for some of the more delicious variety of critter. However, while it was a mild and temperate day, all that walking definitely put us in the mood for something not-hot. What to do? Poké! After a bit of Googling, we found the (relatively) nearby Ohana, which looked like it might do the job. We were delighted to find our new favorite Poké spot in DFW! Let me sing its praises:- Price: beats the pants off anything else we've gotten. See the menu I attached -- two tiers, either 2 proteins or 3.- Price part 2: the only thing you pay for is protein. Unlimited selections of everything else, and there's a lot of everything else! I've seen places charge per topping, per sauce, per add-on, and it adds up really quickly. I'll note that there were one or two items that were a la carte, but generally the sky was the limit. Very generous portions!- Selection: tuna, salmon, spicy variations thereof, scallop, shrimp. The only nit I had to pick was that there were only two fish-- I love me some hamachi -- and no octopus. Very minor nit. Tons of toppings and sides, several good sauces. I only wish they had a good "spicy" option like gochujang or Sriracha or something homemade. Even so, the Wasabi mayo was great.- Fast and friendly service! No problems there.- Extensive menu -- not just Poké, though that was our mission. The website is currently offering free musubi (spam or katsu) with purchase over 25 bucks, so we went with the katsu musubi (I already make my own awesome spam musubi). If we hit the place up again I really wanna try the Hawaiian BBQ. Everything looked delicious. We all left very happy. This place will likely become our usual stop after the zoo.“

“I can't believe I haven't been here since the new owners bought Sammy's. Sammy's has been a part of our family dining and events since the early 60s. There was nothing better than Sammy's chopped BBQ with thier amazing unrivaled BBQ sauce. Then their fries and rings ...Best on the planet as far as I was concerned. It broke my heart to learn they sold years ago and I had heard they changed all the recipes so we never went back. Well, I could completely kick myself now. I never thought I would say this... BUT...the new owners have seriously taken Sammy's to the next level. BRAVO! Your chopped BBQ just might top the original and just became my favorite. Your Sammy's original BBQ sauce was not quite the original but it actually might be even better too. The onion rings were identical and brought back some great memories of birthday , graduation, and fun family celebrations spent at Sammy's over my life time. There was more people there than I ever saw those last 6 years when the original owners had Sammy's. Five stars all the way around. We had great service too! I need to make up for all these lost years and yes...I'm seriously kicking myself for holding out so long. I travel all over the country and get to try the best BBQ. I am so excited Sammy's is in my city! Will be going back regularly. Yay!“
