McDonald's in San Antonio

“This McDonald's is the best in the area imo. Many of the other locations here have bad service and are unclean. This one however is great, every time I go everyone is friendly and the kiosks actually work. If you want McDonald's, this is the location to go to.“

“The employees here were awesome!! When I first ordered my food, the self checkout machines didn't give me a receipt, so I went to the counter to ask for one and was treated so nicely and was immediately asked what I need help with! After sitting down, my food came out extremely fast, almost as soon as I sat down. The place was also very clean and tidy compared to other McDonald's I've been to. When leaving, multiple employees wished me and my friends a good weekend. This was the best McDonald's experience I've ever had!“

“I was in the area this morning and wanted some breakfast. I haven't had a McDonald's breakfast in a while, so I decided to use the drive-thru.

Normally, I will walk in and order at the counter, but this morning, I decided to use the drive-thru. I put my order in with a young lady, who was very polite, and then drove around to the first window and paid. I then drove to the second window where I picked my order.

I got home, open my bag and noticed that the egg McMuffin, to me appeared a little smaller than previous egg mcmuffins that I had eaten, and yet, the price of the meal had increased. Obviously, prices have increased along with everything else over the last 4 years of inflation. In any event, this is why I gave the food 4 stars versus 5 Stars. The food tasted great.

This is just my opinion, but I wish businesses would prepare there food like they used to and if they have to charge more, let the customer decide whether they want to buy it or not. Again, personally, I've seen too many of the Food industry business downsize their portions and either keep or increase their prices.

This location and its staff are very customer service-oriented, professional and courteous. The food still has the good McDonald's taste. I just wish the portions were what they used to be.“

“Place was clean, had a good play area for the kids, everyone was friendly, but the restrooms stunk up the whole dining area, the smell was awful! There was also a homeless man right outside the front doors trying to talk to my 4 yr old and it scared her.“

“At every visit, my dishes are constantly prepared fresh. They always take me to the side, the personnel are always polite, and my order is always precise. I have not experienced any issues at all here—especially with iced coffee, which they make flawlessly every time. The place nearby does not match at all.“

“I ordered curbside and Jayden (i think that was his name, younger gentleman) came out and immediately he was amazing. He was funny, went back inside to get my sauce when his little bucket didnt have any, and was quick and efficient. mans deserves a raise“

There's an amazing older lady named Bobby and she never fails to be kind, attentive and an all around pleasant person! I cannot emphasize enough how much her kindness can boost everyone's moods, I appreciate it greatly.“

“Mornings are great, Norma, Santi Michelle and Jessica make a great crew. I'm there almost every weekend as I give myself the guilty pleasure of the Big Breakfast. They are always cheerful and courteous. Seen then deal with nasty rude people and yet they maintain composure. Go and give them a smile they are a good crew.“

“Deliveries are my only issue, thru doordash or whatever it may be I'm usually always missing at least one item or some sauces.

“First time being to this location. All areas were nice and clean. Especially the play area. That was the reason for the visit. The problem I had was the employee that was supposed to take my order. I was in line and a girl come from the back and goes to the open register and so I move over to that register and start to give her my order. The employee at the other register tells her that there is no till in that register and without saying a word she just turns around and walks back to the back. She could have apologized and asked me to wait for the other employee to finish taking the other customer's order. She already looked lost and confused to begin with so I didn't really make a big deal. The food was a good temp. The fries could have been fresher for being a dine in order. But it's McDonald's I don't really expect 5 star dining.“

“I was happy with how quick I got my food. I ordered on the app. However, the younger girl with blue hat and black sweater could use some customer service training. I arrived, nice older lady in yellow handed me my bag. I decided to order a beverage. The girl who called my name and handed the beverage to me was rude. I smiled and said thank you. She said nothing at all. She threw the whole experience off. Whoever hired her should write a PiP. If she doesn't feel up to the challenge of greeting the customers, she should stay in the back. I'm on my way to work, I'd like to keep my spirits up.“

“Great location with easy access from the interstate, right off 1604. The restaurant is clean, and the food usually comes out fresh. I’ll definitely eat here again. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it’s such a busy location, so the drive-thru can be a little slow.“

“Food was it only HOT but it was FRESH as well!! Not many McDonald's can do that sadly! Also, my fries and nuggets were both deliciously hot and not cold. My drink had a weird after taste but I was so thirsty I didn't care. With not so many options open after 10 pm and having an hour long drive home in so grateful for Mickey D's being open 24/7!!!! 😋🥰“

I order my mcdouble a certain way no ketchup no mustard add mayo but this time they must have not heard me because it came with k and mu it's ok I ate it and it was ok fries were hot and salty and fresh but I rarely have any problems ordering with this particular McDonald's the staff is always super friendly and out of all the times i order a ice cream cone it only wasn't working 1 time so overall I rate this McDonald's higher than average or at least higher than any San Antonio McDonald's.. I would order from this restaurant rather than a San Antonio location any day just based on trust and friendliness... “I went to mcdonalds earlier today and normally go in the morning for coffee but I placed order, then about 15 min later went in drive thru, waited about 3 min no one said anything so I drove to next window. The lady was very angry and said don't do that, I said ok I waited but no answer, she then says next time wait longer. Then when I asked her name she shut the window and walked away. I go here every day and never have issues! The young lady in the drive thru savannah December 20th at about 5:40pm should not be working hospitality and needs a attitude check! I usually deal with charee i believe her name is and is always nice and professional in the mornings when I get my coffee

**edit updated to 4 stars as the manager (claudia) reached out to me to apologize and try to make it right and never had a manager try to make it right by me so I was really impressed. She also stated they will rotate more so they are not overwhelmed in one area. I appreciate the way she handled everything 🙏“

“after being out we stopped at the mcdonald’s to get something to eat and a ice cream not sure the employees name it was a guy at the register and a girl who was cleaning everyone was so friendly to us nice and didn’t have to wait long honestly probably one of the nice locations i have been at lol but definitely would go again if i’m ever in the north side of town“

“I normally do not go to McDonald's or eat fast foods. I love to cook and eat at home, but once in a blue when I am running an errand I will get a Mcgriddle bacon egg and cheese. The best little sandwich to satisfy you. Wow, the price did go up to $4.99 before tax, but what isn't going up nowadays.

This is not a stand alone McDonald's, so it is small, yet cozy and clean. Food was received warm and customer service from Amanda was wonderful. Keep up to great work Amanda! I did the receipt survey for you! GOD bless you and keep that positivity.“

“I always stop by this McDonald’s, especially late at night when everything else is closed or when I need a quick grab‑and‑go meal. The food is consistently hot and fresh, which I really appreciate. “I had held on to a free sandwich voucher for over a year and decided to cash it in tonight.it saved me $4.99 off the meal. That was for a double Filet O'Fish. I only had to pay for my medium fry no salt and my medium Coke. The service was prompt and efficient. The food was hot and delicious. The only negative mention was the young homeless couple that sat down and had their doggy sitting on their table. I don't frequent McDonald's more than a couple times a year, but this visit went well.“

“We ordered the kids' meal with extra fries. Its nice that they made the order with a small order of fries. I've been to some locations that they give 2 tiny boxes that only fit a few fries per container. I would've given 5 stars . I was sad to hear the homestyle was discontinued .😭.“

“I don’t really like McDonald’s but my son loves it so we come to one every now and then, but this time I am leaving a review because of one employee who I would love to name but can’t unfortunately because he was not wearing a name tag… but he is a tall bright blue eyed kid at the front and he was very respectful and even checked in on us he has very good customer service so staff is 5star for sure but the only issue I have with this store is the cleanliness and dress code employees with untucked shirts and no name tag really throws me off considering I was a manager at another fast food franchise. But the tables were a little messy along with the counters at the front and it’s definitely not in the middle of a rush so I don’t see an excuse not to take care of it I have to clean the table I sat at with hand sanitizer and a napkin I found on the table but either way a decent McDonald’s and that guy at the front was great thank you Mr no name“

“When I looked at the ratings for this restaurant, I was not expecting much. But the manager and all of the employees have been wonderful! He even came around to make sure that everything was OK for us. I wish I lived nearby because this would be my regular stop!“

“I was stuck here for a few hours. I personally witnessed several horrid customers worthy of youtube infamy, and the staff remained cool, calm, professional, and friendly throughout all of it. They did their best to keep things clean despite customers leaving trash. They were patient when they had every right to be short. I am embarassed on behalf of the other, presumably, adults who came in and acted like such children.

Also my steak bagel was delicious.

The kitchen looked remarkably clean and the crew sounded in sync and on the job.“

“Overall considering the amount of bad reviews, my experience here was outstanding. None of the workers I dealt with had any type of attitude. I was able to get my order in without any issues, and my food was actually the exact way I asked for it.“

“Honestly this location is not my favorite BUT caitlyn is amazing!!! She always brightens my day she knows exactly how I like my order (mcafe) she never is rude or aggressive like I have experienced there before and I still go here because Caitlyn is the best! I lost my receipt but I’m almost positive that’s her name she works the evening shift 3-10 I think? She wears a hat and pony tail. She is the best!!! She should be a manager honestly! “Let me tell you something about this particular McDonald's. Ive seen some clean some dirty. Some employees will stand around playing with their phone. I think its refreshlng . To see that crew working together as a team. My hats off to the shift managers, team members, cooks, fry cooks, drive thru, the crew that is responsible for the floors and bathrooms. I wanna tell u 1 more thing....
Its a piece of info that was told to me. Now as a new employee, people notice the the bathrooms. You can tell alot about the way they look and smell. People judge bathrooms. If the bathroom is dirty, they're probably thinking , i hope the kitchen isnt this dirty . Anyways...thank you McDonald's.

“When another McDonald’s chose to block the drive thru and lock the dining room instead of do their jobs, I drove to this location. I was very tired bc my husband had surgery and has had some rough nights, which means I’ve had some rough nights. I had been planning to get burgers and nuggets when I left the house but do to the unexpected weirdness at the wurzbach McDonald’s, by the time I got to this one, breakfast was the only option. The combo of exhaustion and change of plans had my brain scrambled and I made a mess while ordering, getting a few things wrong. The young man working the register was very patient and sweet while helping me straighten it out once I drove forward. The food was good too.“

“I usually have amazing service here when I come overnight. From them remembering me and making small talk to even the special accommodations I need they remember without me having to ask but I just came here and ordered my burger( only 1 item) at 7:06pm and not only did I not receive it until 7:39pm but the manager was very rude and brushing me off and unwilling to speak with me on my order. Then came and tossed it on the counter and said there you go while walking away. I was not being rude or raising my voice. I didn’t constantly ask about my order. Hell after I told the guy at the counter I was here for my pick up order I didn’t even ask on the status of it until after 25 minutes of waiting. Manager was a guy with long hair that went more than halfway down his back.“

“Please take it from somebody who has over 30 years of big restaurant experience the manager in charge today his name is Jeremy he is on top of things I almost swore this location off because I do doordash and I've had very bad experiences in the past not when Jeremy was here Jeremy here now and he took care of me fast and he delivers Hot fresh food with a friendly face you can't pay people enough to run your business like he does you should buy him a Corvette with the McDonald's symbol on the side. The food that I picked up for doordash was so fresh with such good service that I clocked out and turned right back around so that I can enjoy the food and take a break and I want you to know that Jeremy's the man“

“My visit here was OK. Some employees are a tad bit rude. The wall outlets were locked so I was unable to charge my phone. But I also understand that this is not a service they are required to provide.

“The cashier was young but very attentive and patient. The establishment was clean. The play area was clean as well. The burger actually was very flavorful given that it is fast food. The only thing I take a star away for is the fact that the soda machines quit working and I couldn't get a refill. They do give out complimentary cookies to each patron“

“Love that they make my coffee perfect every time and the biscuits are always hot and buttery, but the atmosphere and the homeless that go inside and either cause nonsense or scare you because they look like they are about to snap,so that makes this MCD a place to take your food to go.“

“They are my closest McDonalds and I always have great service. Sometimes it can be busy, but even then always treated with kindness. That, paired with the McDs app, keeps me coming back.

“Everytime I come here after a long double shift I always come here and always go through the drive thru. Everytime I come here I never have to wait the most I spent in the drive thru is maybe 10 minutes, and it was because they were making my food fresh and I’ll never complain about. “Perfect play area for toddlers! My 2 year old was able to slide,climb,jump around and played for hours! The age range is thru 12 but I think kids older than 5 might not think it's that fun.
Food we ordered took a bit of time but came out piping hot which for me matters more than coming out fast.“
