“Our experience at the Cardinal restaurant was overall good. It's a restaurant inside the Hilton hotel. There is a bar with seating, lounge and restaurant seating. Gladys was our server and she took great care of us, very friendly and fast service. She checked on us several times and gave good recommendations for food. We both had the Santa Fe Chicken salad. It was very tasty and fresh, including tomatoes and avocado. The vodka martinis were good sized and delicious. Prices for food were reasonable. Drinks were more expensive than usual. I would go back.“

“We recently celebrated our son's high school graduation with a dinner here, and everything was absolutely fabulous. Our server, George, went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. He handled our party of 16 so smoothly — it felt like we were at a table of four with how attentive and efficient he was! Great portion sizes too. Clearly labeled vegan/plant based options on the menu. Didn’t get a shake, but they do have some vegan ones. Full bar too, had an excellent cocktail (Thunderbird Margarita). There were a lot of families there at the same time as us, so it was a bit loud, but fit the diner vibe.“

“My family came to the Silver Diner midweek for breakfast to celebrate my grandmother’s 90th birthday. Badr was our server and was so friendly and attentive. We casually mentioned we were celebrating a birthday, without any expectations, and at the end of the meal they brought out a treat with a candle and got the whole restaurant to sing happy birthday. Perfect for 90! She loved it. Also, the oat milk protein pancakes were incredible!“

“I've been going to the Silver Diner in Reston for over 15 years. Food is always good, new items added to menu seasonally, staff are real folks who are easy to talk with and joke with as well. You get a sense of "family" when you are there as staff and customers interact. Servers are fun people and make your day. Today was Rubia's day and she is special. Come out and see for yourself.“

“We went to the restaurant down at the wharf….. To start, the hostess at the front was on her phone and not really paying any mind to the people walking in the door. Come to find out after that was the floor manager. Then we get sat and none of the workers talk about who is in charge of that section. We did. It get me is or silverware. The very nice bartender comes up, gets us some water and menus gets us started and finally the sever comes over to us. The server took our order and checked on us twice. When the food was brought to the table we still didn’t have silverware and had to ask the food runner. Our server had a a ten top when we arrived and she was checking on her the whole time not paying any mind to the other tables she has. It was to the point I had to go up to someone ask for water refill bc both our glasses were empty. We finish our meals that were very good and no one but the bartenders are on the floor. I see our sever walk over to the restroom, she comes out looks at us and sees that we are sitting doing nothing, then walks over to a new 10 top and disappears. It’s at thing point I now have to walk over to the bartender and get our check and they are the ones that cash us out. Thank you to the bartender that took care of us“

Majority of the food is cooked to order and I can taste the effort that is put into making sure it is just right! The atmosphere is very pub like! I walk in and feel welcome but be warned this place can be busy depending on the day of the week and time of day! The specials are great! A couple of weeks ago, we experienced 1/2 price burger night. Last week, we experienced taco Tuesday. Both of those days will be in my radar in the future. Breakfast is super yummy! Every bartender there has their own personality but they are all so friendly!!… so much so that I will not isolate my review to just one!“

I ordered a Sausage and Cheese Omelette with sourdough toast. It’s one of the best omelettes i’ve had. And the price was so nice and affordable. Stuff like this in california would cost double and have less quality.

If work asks me to travel back for fairfax, i’ll definitetly swing by for other items on the menu. Thinking of getting the Katsu next…

“Looking for Bottle of Red-wine and found this restaurant very close to our residence. Went up to the shop had a look at the wine display took one bottle each of red-wine Spain and Italian, the lady on the counter very polite and helpful answered sone questions and took for billing. They do have variety of meat and meat products. Can have done beer or soft drinks with food there itself. It a great place to visit. Amble space for free parking, pricing reasonable. We were looking for some venison meat, not readily available they tired to organise from a supplier, since our qty was not matching couldn’t make it.“

I had the bacon wrapped meatloaf and the supreme pizza. Meatloaf was great, pizza’s ok. I tried both their hazy beers and the Freedom and Founders IPAs, all good choices. I’m planning on bringing my husband for my 3rd visit before heading home. Looking forward to having the Stroganoff pasta on my next visit. Would highly recommend for food and craft beer selections.“
