The waffle tasted incredibly fresh, and the pistachio kunafa flavor had the perfect crunch without being overly sweet—really well balanced. The hazelnut ice cream was rich and delicious as well.
Portion-wise, I do feel the second scoop could be slightly more generous for the price, but the quality definitely makes up for it.
I usually can’t finish desserts, but this one was so good I ate the entire thing. Would absolutely come back again!“

“While on a food tour, we went past Yala. We had to come back the next day when we had time and we were so thrilled that we did! Not only is the store beautiful, the story of the ice cream is as well. Got to meet the owner and was served by Daniel- the sweetest and nicest young man who offered us samples! That made the decision even harder!! 🤣 Not only delicious, but made with love. Just sad I live almost 3 hours away (but probably better for my waistline). Run, don’t walk when you’re in Georgetown for this scrumptious ice cream!“

“I stopped by Pitango for dessert, and it definitely hit the spot! 😋 I tried two flavors: Stracciatella (vanilla with chocolate chips) and Fondente (dark chocolate). I don't usually eat gelato, so I was pleasantly surprised by the creaminess. The service was excellent; I wasn’t sure what to choose, but the cashier helped me by offering samples and sharing details about each flavor I tried. One of the chocolate flavors I sampled was incredibly rich and chocolatey—it's water-based and vegan-friendly, which was a first for me! The restaurant was nice, clean, and had indoor seating that could accommodate several people, but I decided to take my treat to go.“

“The gelato I had was absolutely delicious! While it wasn't as creamy as Pitango's, I really enjoyed the variety of flavors they offered. I ordered a three-flavor cup and chose Black and White Cookie Batter, Dark Chocolate Fudge, and Dulce de Leche Chip. Each flavor was delightful! The restaurant was quite busy, which was a good sign considering its prime location near shopping stores and not far from Chinatown. There was plenty of seating available for customers to sit and savor their treats or coffee. Despite the crowd, the cashiers did an excellent job attending to everyone and even offered samples.“

“I love the hot cocoa from Dolci Gelati at the National Zoo for Zoo Lights. I bought 1 for me and 1 for a friend & went back again for a second night for more on the last night of Zoo Lights. Whipped cream, chocolate & caramel syrup is added to the top. It’s the best treat on a cold winter night or day at the zoo. Thank you!! I’ll keep coming back & bring friends.“

“As a former pastry chef I find Jubilee to be an Exceptional tasting ice cream. I was super impressed, and Fell in love with the sweet potato and candy molasses. Crave it even! It was evident to me that they use Quality ingredients, decadent flavor profiles with lots of Creativity.“

“Visited Amorino Gelato Naturale at Tyson’s Mall and had a great experience. The gelato was rich, smooth, and clearly made with quality ingredients, each flavor tasted authentic and well balanced. What really stood out, though, was the service. Diana was exceptionally friendly, patient, and attentive, taking the time to explain flavors and make thoughtful recommendations. Her warm attitude made the visit even more enjoyable. Definitely a place I’d return to for both the gelato and the service.“

“Updated review: I've been here a few dozen times over the last decade, they've officially lost their essence. They're now pretty darn expensive. It's too bad. They used to be known for great custard and baked goods at reasonable prices, but it looks like they're now going with maximum extraction. So it goes.
Old review: Fair prices and excellent frozen custard concoctions; this place sits in a part of the DC area that you would swear was a world away - i.e. in a wholesome town in middle America. It's an institution worth the trip and likely line... Out the door.

“First time Customer 05/12/23. My experience was great. I was very surprised at the variety of flavors, I chose Vanilla (I figured you can’t go too wrong w/ Vanilla), IT was Delicious, I can’t wait to try some of the other Flavors now, the Homemade Taste was awesome, the prices were great, the speed of service was marvelous( It was seemingly right during “rush hour”, there was a line, however, the line moved swiftly, the Helpers (Young Staff), was very flexible, friendly, patient, quick, on top of things and handled business very professionally. I was impressed. I will GO BACK and refer Friends and Family to my New Found “Custard/ Ice Cream” Place. It’s been kept a secret from me. Now I Know.“

“I came in on Saturday night after the kids were begging me all day for a sweet treat. We were helped by a young lady that was so inviting and informative! I typically hate ice cream, but after the different flavors were described to us so beautifully I couldn’t help but try out a couple. I was not disappointed! “Love Sweet Frog!! So absolutely fond of the Taro flavor and I wish other locations have it too but they do not. Only this Kingstowne, Alexandria location carries ~ which I drive a ways for.. But well worth it! :)“
