I have to say that it is definitely a lot more tasty than many other Chinese restaurants in the area. The veggies are not frozen or canned, there was real freshness to them. “You have got to ask for Jay Kim, he is the best server in the house. He was patient and ever so helpful with us as first time hot potters. I had a vegetarian hot pot, well, except for the dumplings. Although they have no vegetarian options, he worked with me and provided me with an alternate option. It would be more awesome for them to add it to their menu tho for those of us who just love veggies. The broth is vegetarian based so it makes sense to have a vegetarian option along with it. We had a party of 8 and Jay Kim made it so much fun!!! The food was absolutely delicious. Everything was so fresh. One other option that would have been great to have would be fresh ginger at the sauce bar and mushrooms on the vegetable plate. We were all pleasantly pleased with our food. The ambiance is very nice, low light but more than enough to cook and enjoy each other's company. Jay Kim made sure we always had what we needed. The sauce bar was amazing, so many choices. I recommend making a few bowls, some for the broth and and some for dipping your cooked food. If you get any type of meat, also make a sauce to marinade the meat. You don't have to but it made a good difference. Meats are thinly sliced for quick cooking and again,so fresh. The price was worth the amount of food and the experience. There is an all you can eat option or an a la carte option where you just get one meat selection and a vegetable plate which was more than enough for us as a party of young ladies. This was a great first hot pot experience and I definitely recommend it, just make sure to ask for Jay Kim. I know you will enjoy it!!!“

“This was some of the best hot pot I have had in ages!! Both the soup bases (we got the bone broth + Chongqing) felt so authentic and rich, and there was such a large variety of different ingredients, it felt so worth it!! The skewers were absolutely delicious as well.

The owner was so welcoming and kind, he even gave my boyfriend and me a complimentary chicken dish that he used to eat frequently in his hometown. He kept checking on us and on the other guests too - it was clear that he genuinely cared about the quality of the meal and the enjoyment of his guests.

“The menu instantly made me nostalgic—it felt like good, comforting soul food before I even ordered. This is a Black-owned, mom-and-pop restaurant, and from the moment I walked in, they were hospitable, personable, and welcoming.

I ordered the whiting dinner with mac and cheese and yams. The fish was fresh and flavorful, the yams were delicious, and the mac and cheese had the perfect balance of creamy and cheesy without being too heavy.

I will definitely be back, and I already know I’ll be picking up food during the holidays—especially that sweet potato pie!

You walk into a real family business and although most people just order take out we decided to eat in.
The girl at the counter was cleaning tables and the floor and we were pleasantly surprised by the man who came with some water and to take our order.

Since it was busy it took a little bit longer but it did not disappoint!!
Served on a real plate, fresh hot and tasty.
The orange chicken sauce tasted like real oranges and reminded me of the orange duck in Spain.
