“We've been going to Piri Piri for years now, ever since my mom moved in nearby. The staff are so kind and always smiling. Whenever we dine in, they always make us feel welcome.

We honestly have no idea what everything else on the menu is like, because we always get the half chicken with beans, rice and pico, and the delicious jalapeño corn muffins. The chicken is always super tender; the sauce they cover it with is so delicious; the skin is always the perfect amount of cooked and packed with flavor. They have a very spicy sauce that my partner loves, and I always get the orange sauce. There are others!

The drink selection is quite good, with a ton of variety. They even had the seriously-rare grapefruit Jarritos the last time I was there. It's my favorite, but for some reason nobody ever has it!

“We went for lunch and got chicken tika masala and saag paneer and it was really good! The flavors were great and the naan was super fresh. Only complaint I have is the red peppers in the chicken tika, some might like it but I ate around it. Will definitely be coming back though!“

“The take out is super good. I live in NJ and go to Va. very often. Being near NYC I know Chinese food. This is excellent. Fresh and truely yummy and great value for the price. On top of all that the service is great and super friendly. They smile and are very nice and that alone makes me come back often. Inside is not beautiful to eat in but for take out it is the best in Richmond and I am a picky eater. Five stars for sure. Go and see, it is super.“

“Food was average at best. Out of everything including a cook. Actually closed the kitchen for about 30 minutes because cook was at end of shift and no one there to replace him. They are listed as a Priority Pass discounted restaurant and when asked, they looked at me like I was crazy. No clue.“

“We had a private dinner served to us by the 2 partners of Tulsi. They came to Vinnie and Rebecca’s beautiful yard and gave us a cooking experience we will all never forget. “What a spectacular find! We are out of towners and made a reservation about a week in advance so it was easy to get a spot and we were seated right away. The food is next level and so are the drinks. We shared a tomato and steak tartare for appetizer that was 10/10. I had the Beef Swellington and my wife had the lamb with dumplings. Both were 11/10. Dessert was unbelievable too. The only 'but' is that, being new to the area, the neighborhood felt a bit sketchy and we had to park a couple of blocks away. It's ignorant bias, I'm sure, and we felt perfectly safe. It's just that it did not feel like it was on a super curated touristy area. We'll be back for sure. Many times.“

“On 08/03/2022, my wife and I brought our cousins here to celebrate their 50th anniversary. The food and service was excellent. Our waiter was Sean. HOWEVER, during the reservation process, I was asked at least twice if there was a celebration and if so what type. I indicated on both occasions that it was a anniversary. I just assumed that when I was asked about the occasion that this occasion would somehow be acknowledged. It wasn't. (Happy anniversary). I heard the waiter at the table next to ours wish the celebrants a happy anniversary. Also, based on other reviews on this site, I noticed that a dessert was given to the celebrants as a memento. Not to our party. As I said, the service and food were excellent but missing the little "happy anniversary" left me and my wife feeling a little empty.“

-They do have a bar on both levels.
-Parking can be tricky. Suggest arriving early to secure a good parking spot around the area.
