We were one of their first guests in those early days and eat here so much the owners know me by name! “Do yourself a favor — EAT AT LOTUS POND. (1) Carpool to Lotus Pond. The more the merrier. (2) Appetizers: You can’t lose. Everything is good. Me? I eat the Imperial Rolls. Get two orders of the egg rolls aka Imperial Rolls — one order won’t be enough for 2 people. Start there, you’ll be very happy. Also order the pork belly on the skewers please, No regrets. It’s very good. (3) Noodle Soups. Every bowl Is a winner. Pho is great, no question there. However, you absolutely must eat the SEAFOOD with special Red Noodle. (4) Early enough during the day, drink the Viet Ice Coffee. (5) Too bad they don’t have enough staff/hands to make the BANH CUON but they make up for it in many ways. Try everything on the menu. I’m not a relative. I don’t get money or fame for recommending Lotus Pond. I just know authentic good food when I see and eat it. Try it. “I’ve been here quite a few times lately, and I keep ordering the same thing ..the fresh rolls with grilled chicken. I swap the peanut sauce for fish sauce, and that combo is so good! The grilled chicken with the fish sauce just works perfectly together. Maybe it’s just my preference, but I honestly love it. 😆

So far, it hasn’t disappointed me once. It’s definitely my go-to fresh rolls in the area. I really need to branch out and try more of the menu because everything else looks incredible too!

“I don't recommend eating here. A coworker and myself tried the bahn mi and spring rolls one day and they were some of the worst I have eaten; ended up just tossing half my order. My wife tried the pho a day earlier and said it was not that good either. I do have an acquaintance that works close by and eats here often. he agress the bahn mi, spring rolls and pho are not good, but says the rice and noodles dishes are ok.“

“Had the banh mi which was delicious, the lemongrass tofu is so flavorful. It came with a little cup of consomme with a piece of broccoli and carrot. I assume it is the same broth they use for their pho, and it is really yummy. We also got the mango salad with tofu, which was not marked as vegan but we were assured it was. It was yummy and light, quite nice and fresh. The food was made very quickly and the staff was friendly. A very nice choice for lunch.“

“We have lived in several places and have tried lots of places here and elsewhere that sold banh mi sandwiches but these are the best banh mi sandwiches we have had! We think they might make their own buns because they are so very tasty and just as good as the fresh baguettes we had when we lived in France! The sandwich ingredients are fresh and flavorful and we especially love the wonderful paté they include on them, unless you tell them you are vegetarian or vegan. They make the paté themselves and it is also as delicious as any we used to have in France! We like their rice bowls too. If you haven’t been to the “Toast Mi”…located in Lacey…we highly recommend seeking it out and giving it a try. If you like banh mi sandwiches, you will be happy that you did!“

Figured I'd give it one more try so I tried it today wrote it on the side and got no Hoisin sauce.
