“There are definitely some star dishes here! Maybe it's just me but I'm not really into the dishes they're known for, which is their chicken and soup. The texture wasn't really to my liking, as there was a lot of skin and fat to get through.“

“I have been dining at Teapot for around 25 years, since their early Capitol Hill location. Over time and my evolving tastes and the changing vegan restaurant scene I have only grown more fond of this unique Jem. I was so bummed to hear they were supposed to close at the end of this year due to lease issues. But while visiting family I drove by and saw it open and sure enough their lease is extended for a year (at least). “This feels like a hidden gem? The food and service were good. We had complimentary hot tea, hard to enjoy on a warm day but welcomed. I ordered the garlic eggplant, water boiled fish, and one of the lamb dish that had onions. Everything came out so delicious and as I expected from previous sichuanese restaurant experiences. The food is served family style on a large plate with one serving spoon. It can be difficult to eat the food with chopsticks as it gets oily real quick but they provide a spoon upon request. I would love to come back as often as possible if I were closer. It's also pretty affordable for the amount of food received.“

“Great food. Had the Lee's Neef Bone Marrow rice noodle soup which came with 2 huge ribs. Fantastic deal and tasted good. Also ordered the rice hot pot with spare ribs, cured pork, salted fish and taro. Had to try the Chinese Donut as well. Good dish for a cold day. Will definitely return.“

“Their signature dish is a simple yet hearty meal. The noodle dish is served “deconstructed,” you need to put the ingredients in the boiling soup while it’s still hot to ensure they’re cooked. There’s plenty of soup, but I wish there were more of the other ingredients.“

“I went in semi naive to what was on the menu. Nothing stands out. You order at the counter. Understand that the dishes are larger to feed 2-3 people and their are no sides. Meaning if you like rice with your Asian cuisine it will be extra. Not realizing the size of the dishes I ordered 5 things and 2 sodas and a beer and 2 sides of rice which are small 1 person small and I spent with tip close to 140$+
It is in a strip mall so this is not meant to be fancy. Think small cafeteria style. Of the dishes the on that stood out for me was the chili shrimp. Otherwise pretty generic stuff. Beef had a diffrent texture to it that didn't suit me well. But if your into Asian cuisine make your own opinion. I more then likely won't go back. Quality of food for the money not a win for me.“

I came here for lunch and had the crab fried rice and Pad Thai — both were absolutely delicious and full of flavor. The mango sticky rice for dessert was also amazing and perfectly sweet.

“I don't recommend eating here. A coworker and myself tried the bahn mi and spring rolls one day and they were some of the worst I have eaten; ended up just tossing half my order. My wife tried the pho a day earlier and said it was not that good either. I do have an acquaintance that works close by and eats here often. he agress the bahn mi, spring rolls and pho are not good, but says the rice and noodles dishes are ok.“

We ordered the bone marrow beef broth soup with noodles, the beef brisket with rolls, the chicken and veggie stone pot, garlic fried chicken, and the Sichuan green beans (just a tiny, perfect kick). We absolutely destroyed everything. Each dish tasted so homey and comforting — especially on a chilly day.

One thing to note: if you’re expecting quick service, this might not be the place. The kitchen seems to be run by a sweet older grandpa and his assistant, so dishes take a bit of time. But honestly, it was well worth the wait for authentic Chinese food. We’d definitely come back, just probably not during peak hours.“

I love that they offer a low sodium option for all the broths. Highly recommend the “just a little kick” and “picked veggies” broth flavor. This is my new favorite place for a quick and warm soupy meal!“

I usually order their black ramen, which is pretty good. I’ve also tried their Vegan Harvest ramen, and it’s equally delicious. They also have monthly specials, so if you’re looking to try something new, you should check those out.

If you’re okay with eggs, you can switch out the thick noodles in the vegan ramen for thin ones.“

“Nice little place with good food, fast service and plenty of seating space. We ordered pho and bun. Birth was nice, noodles cooked well, lots of meat. The broth wasn’t as warm as I normally like but otherwise cooked well. The bun was good, especially the grilled pork. You can tell it’s cooked over fire which gave it that nice charred taste. The egg roll was also excellent. Crunchy skin, tasty inside.“

“The food was excellent, and the waitress was very attentive. I had the wonton soup, crispy honey walnut chicken, garlic string beans, and the short ribs. Every dish was very good. If I had to choose a favorite it was probably the honey walnut chicken because it had a very satisfying crispy texture on the outside.“
